Mi-Ny - Lucidalabbra Extraglossy - 10 Gold Star

ENG: this is the second (of 3) post to reviewing the three items I received as Jury prize in the "Summer Nail Art" contest from Mi-Ny Cosmetics on their facebook page. This was the awarded nail art and these were the amazing prizes I received for it. ^__^

ITA: questo è il secondo (di 3) post che dedico alla recensione di un prodotto Mi-Ny Cosmetics ricevuto come Premio Giuria al concorso "Summer Nail Art" sulla loro pagina  facebook. Questa è stata la nail art premiata e questi sono i tre premi che ho ricevuto per merito suo. ^__^

ENG: product overview / ITA: panoramica del prodotto

ENG: I must to admit that I wasn't so sure about this item as soon as I received the prize parcel from Mi-Ny, because I could only ask to myself: seriously, when and how and why I could use this stuff? A golden glitter lipgloss? No way! I can't! A few months were passed by and now I can say this is my favorite of all prizes I received. Absolutely. Why? 
First of all the clear base is not so packed with golden glitters as it seems at a first glance, more the glitters are not so big to being very evident on lips; I could even dare to say that this gloss has some kind of discretion, or it has until a ray of light meet it, at least. In that case the glitters bright with no shame, but your lips will still be watchable with no protective measures. I think this gloss is perfect alone to enlight your lips, or also on a lipstick for a final touch. There's another thing I was a lot surprised for: it lasts long! But really much!!! Maybe I'm just lucky, maybe not, but whatever, this gloss keeps on my lips even after eating very often. A gloss. Incredible. Last, but absolutely not least, the packaging: it's practical (I always prefer squared packaging, since it's better to storage), high quality plastic (that doesn't get dirty easily, nor scratches nor breaks!), there's a mirror (a mirror!) and... A little light that lights up as soon as you unscrew the cap. A little light! A little light!!! There's a 3 years old baby inside of me who's rejoicing any time I use this gloss! XD

Conclusions? I'm aware that this lipgloss is not very cheap, it costs €13,90 (three euros more than the other items from the same collection!) but I still think it deserves a chance, a real chance! ^__^

ENG: packaging details / ITA: dettagli della confezione

ITA: confesso che, quando ho ricevuto il pacchetto dalla Mi-Ny, questo prodotto mi ha lasciata un po' perplessa e mi chiedevo soltanto: ma quando cacchio me la metto una cosa del genere? Un gloss fatto di glitter dorati? Ossantissimocielononcelapossofare! A distanza di qualche mese, invece, posso dire che questo è stato, al contrario, il premio che uso di più e che mi ha soddisfatta di più. Perchè?
Innanzitutto i glitter dorati non sono molto fitti in quantità e neanche così grandi da risultare particolarmente evidenti su labbra, anzi, potrei perfino azzardarmi a dire che hanno una loro discrezione, perlomeno fino a quando non incrociano un raggio di luce e allora sbrilluccicano indegnamente, ma senza comunque far diventare la vostra bocca inguardabile senza occhiali protettivi. Io lo trovo ottimo sia da solo per illuminare le labbra, sia sopra un rossetto per dargli quel luminoso tocco in più. Un'altra cosa che mi ha sorpresa in positivo è il fatto che dura tantissimo! Ma proprio tanto!!! Ora... Non so se sono io fortunata, perchè di certo non ci sto attenta e quindi non mi prendo alcun merito, ma spesso resiste anche ai pasti. Un gloss. Incredibbole. Parliamo infine del packaging: confezione pratica (io adoro sempre le confezioni di forme squadrate perchè si riordinano meglio), plastica di alta qualità (che non si sporca, non si graffia, nè si rompe facilmente!), specchietto (lo specchietto!) e... Lucina che si attiva appena si svita il tappo. Lucina! Una lucina!!! La bimba di 3 anni che è in me fa la ola quando inforca questo gloss! XD
Conclusione? Non è economicissimo, lo so, costa €13,90 (tre euro in più degli altri della stessa collezione!), ma un pensierino, a mio parere, lo merita! ^__^

DISCONTINUED DAY #5 Kiko from Fierce Spirit LE

ENG: I decided to post two makeup products that I bought on sale at Kiko store for this Discontinued Day. They are both from the 2013 Summer collection, the one called Fierce Spirit. You can still find them at some Kiko stores, if you're lucky, and I wish you are! ;D

VINYL LIPS LIQUID LIPSTICK - 06 BRISK WINE

ENG: I bought this lipstick on sale for 3 euros something, here's why: it's a medium magenta, not too pink so not too cheesy, and it's soo incredibly glossy (which makes it very "you know you want me"). But it comes with two big faults. First, it settles into fine lines like there's no tomorrow, as you can see from the swatch pic. Second, it doesn't last much, if you eat, drink or talk. And I do that *all the time* (I should thank my friends for putting up with me ♥). Then why buy something like this, you ask? Cause I'm stupid, of course (won't even try to deny it), but also cause I thought of a way to pull it off. If I apply it only to the centre of the lips, with a matching lip pencil, maybe in days when I'm not stuffing myself as usual, it's really impressive. Final verdict: it has its downsides but, when used with caution, it does make a difference. Oh, yeah!

ITA: questo rossetto l'ho preso in saldo a 3 euro e spicci e, per questo prezzo, ha i suoi perchè: è un magentone di tonalità media non troppo rosa (così evita di essere lezioso), e ha un effetto glossato pazzesco (il che lo rende anche estremamente *aumma aumma*). Ha però due enormissimi difetti: va nelle pieghette come non ci fosse un domani (e si vede molto bene dalla foto-swatch) e non dura granchè, sia che si mangi-beva, sia che si parli molto. E io mangio, bevo e parlo SEMPRE (ringrazio gli amici per la pazienza e la tolleranza ♥). Allora perchè l'ho preso, direte voi? La risposta "perchè sono pirla" è ovvia e non la voglio neanche negare, ma ho pensato che, se ci mettevo sotto una matita labbra pendant coprente, lo stendevo senza arrivare fino ai bordi delle labbra, e magari sceglievo anche di metterlo un giorno in cui non dovevo strafogarmi come mio solito, questo rossetto poteva fare la sua poVca figura. E infatti è proprio così! Responso? Non esente da difetti, ma, se usato con criterio, può fare la differenza. Sì. Ooooh sì!

SUN BRONZING BLUSH - 102 BRICK MANDARIN

ENG:  I don't know what's is going on to me, but I have some kind of blush-mania recently... Maybe because I didn't have used a blush EVER until a few months ago? Probably... :P But it's better to talk about this trio (actually a quartet, since you can mix all shades together), and, first of all, colours are: a bon-bon pink slightly satin, also perfect as highlighter over medium-dark skintones; a matte coral/peach; a bronze with a hint of rust and some golden microshimmer, good as blush in case you'll use it sparingly; and the mix of all shades is a very elegant antique rose. The most striking feature of this product is surely its very intense vanilla aroma, that stays on your cheeks for quite a while time as it was a scented water. Covering is discrete after one application, but you can add more coats to obtain more decise shades. Duration is excellent if you use a good base, but quite short if you don't. In the end, I love this blush! ^__^

ENG: box + inside + packaging / ITA: scatola + cialde + packaging

ITA: non so cosa mi sia preso, ma di recente ho una specie di blush mania. Sarà che nella vita non avevo mai messo un fard prima di pochissimi mesi fa? Sì, mi sa che è quello... :P Ma parliamo di questo trio (anzi, quartetto, perchè i colori si possono anche usare mescolati tutti insieme!), composto da: un rosa bon-bon dalla lievissima satinatura, utilizzabile anche come illuminante su carnagioni medio-scure; un corallo/pesca matte; e un bronzo lievemente tendente al ruggine con microshimmer dorato, ottimo anche come fard, se applicato con parsimonia; il mix che ne esce, invece, è un rosa antico terroso elegantissimo. Caratteristica predominante di questo prodotto è l'aroma vanigliato molto intenso, che resta sulle guance per un bel po', come fosse un'acqua profumata. La coprenza è molto discreta se fate una sola passata, ma, essendo modulabile, potete aggiungerne qualche altra per ottenere tinte più decise. La durata, infine, è ottima se avete una base adeguata sotto, ma bassina in caso contrario. In conclusione? Per me è un sì! ^__^

LONG LASTING LIPSTICK - 05 RED ORCHID

ENG: I've chosen this lipstick because I love dark colors on my lips; anyway it turned out that it's just a medium shade, but it's probably my fault, since my lips are quite pigmented by themselves. By the way, this lipstick has many qualities: it's extremely opaque, really loooong lasting, and it's very comfortable on lips: you can apply it generously, and still don't feel it! For this reason I often use it as base for lipglosses with various effects but not so pigmented. The finish is totally mat, but it doesn't dry my lips: I don't know if I'm lucky or it's in this way for everyone, but... It is so. :P I think this lipstick has just one small flaw, that's I can't draw perfectly the edges without a lip pencil, but I always use a lip pencil, so this isn't a problem at all to me. I was forgetting to talk about the color, but I can't describe it, so take a look to the pic below by yourself (I'm totally useless, I know it... XD)! In the end, I'm really happy for this purchase, really really happy! If you still find it on sale, do a favor to yourself and catch it! ;D

ITA: ho preso questo rossetto perchè amo i colori scuri sulle labbra anche se, alla fine, è invece risultato di una tonalità media, ma è probabilmente causa mia, visto che ho le labbra piuttosto pigmentate. Le doti di questo lipstick, però, sono molte: è estremamente coprente, è veramente loooong lasting, ed è anche molto confortevole sulle labbra: una volta steso, anche generosamente, non lo si sente nemmeno! Per questo motivo lo uso spessissimo come base per gloss ad effetti vari, ma non molto scriventi. Per quanto riguarda il finish è un rossetto totalmente mat, ma non secca le labbra, o almeno su di me non succede. L'unico difettuccio che ha è che non riesco ad applicarlo precisamente sui bordi, e necessita di matita labbra per disegnare il contorno, ma io la matita la metto a prescindere, quindi per me non è per niente problema. Dimenticavo il colore, ma non saprei descriverlo, quindi guardate la foto qui sopra e arrangiatevi (sono inutile, lo so... XD)! In definitiva devo dire che è stato un ottimo acquisto, davvero ottimo! Se lo trovate ancora, nei banchi dei saldi, fatevi un favore e consideratene l'adozione! ;D

COLOUR PARTY PALETTE WET & DRY - 01 PEACH LAKE

ENG:  I must to confess: MAYBE I didn't need of this palette, but... This palette is one of those palettes that's like a multi purposes passe-partout: with a bit' of adaptability you can use a shadow as highilighter, two as blushes and one to define your eyebrows, too. Packaging is adorable, mirrored inside and outside. Quantity of product is a lot. Pigmentation is excellent, unlike most of other palettes from this collection (the other one I think it's great quality is the number 02 - Generous Earth, reviewed from my cousin here). Duration on eyelids is not bad, especially about dark shades. Formulation is very good from my point of view: light shades could be chalky if you get them with a stiff bristles brush, but all of them are no powdery at all in case you're in a hurry and use your fingers to apply eyeshadows. Finish is mainly mat, except the first shadow, that's a few glitter inside of it (but they totally disappear on eyelids) and the fourth one that's shimmer. What else? Range of colors is not so peculiar, but all eyeshadows match very well to each other: they are able to create both day and night makeups, more they fit with most of skintones.
In the end I think that this palette is quite complete, and it's handy to take with yourself. I guess it's also ideal to people who wants not so many products, but they have to be quality and versatile, without imposing usual browns. I paid it on sale only €6, more or less, and it worths this price a lot! ;D

ENG: box + inside + packaging / ITA: scatola + cialde + packaging

ITA: lo confesso: FORSE non ne avevo bisogno, ma ho la brutta abitudine di andare da Kiko quando sono di umore nero e ne esco invece con un sorrisone da pervertita. Non succede spesso, per fortuna.
Ad ogni modo questa palette è una di quelle passe-partout utiliZZime con cui, con un po' di elasticità (quella mentale, intendo), ci si può truccare anche tutta la faccia, utilizzando due cialde anche come blush, una come highlighter, e una per definire le sopracciglia. Inoltre il packaging è adorabile e, anche se ama conservare le ditate per ricordo, è tutta uno specchio, dentro e fuori. La quantità di prodotto è notevole. La pigmentazione è pazzesca, a differenza della maggior parte delle altre palette di questa collezione (si salva la numero 02 - Generous Earth, che mia cugina ha recensito qui), e la loro durata su palpebre non è niente male, soprattutto delle tinte scure. Anche la formulazione è molto buona: nessuna cialda è polverosa, al massimo i colori chiari possono essere un po' gessosi se si prelevano con pennelli a setole un po' rigide; se invece siete di corsa e utilizzate le dita, non avrete alcun problema di sorta. Il finish prevalente è il mat, fanno eccezione solo la quarta cialda, che è shimmer, e la prima, che contiene qualche microglitter sparso, ma non si notano una volta applicato l'ombretto. Che dire ancora? Che il range di colori non sarà originalissimo, ma gli ombretti si sposano benissimo l'uno con l'altro, e ci si ppossono creare trucchi sia da giorno che da sera, e che credo stiano bene sulla maggior parte dei sottotoni di pelle.
In conclusione per me questa palette, per completezza e comodità, è l'ideale da portarsi in viaggio per risparmiare spazio o per chi vuole pochi trucchi, di qualità e versatili, ma senza cadere nei classici marroncini. Poi, per quanto l'ho pagata io, ovvero 6 euro e spiccioli, ma ben venga! ;D

TOTALLY RANDOM SUNDAY #19

ESSENCE HAULS IN THE LAST SIX MONTHS

Huge post! Actually I don't buy so many things, and most of them are very cheap, or from swaps, or gifts, or taken on sale... But some shopping is needful to make you feel better, and Essence helps you a lot in this, saving your wallet at the same time! All next items are picked up during the past 6 months! 

PART 1 - NAIL POLISHES

- ESSENCE - CIRCUS CIRCUS TE - 03 APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE!: a polish buddy of mine, Cristina from Pee Before Polish blog, tried this polish as soon as it has been released and swatched in this post, and she was so enthusiastic that I searched for it, but Essence displays were all plundered... ç__ç Another polish buddy, Simona from Light your Nails! found it and sent to me, yay! I was searching for a red creme with high quality since a life, and I've found it, at last!!! I've worn it twice but no made pics, yet... -__-

- ESSENCE - NAIL COLOUR 3 - 06 TICKET TO THE SHOW: I wasn't going to buy it, actually, because it looked like another polish from Vampire's Love collection I own, but it doesn't: it has multicolored microglitter inside of it and I fell in love with it, shame on me... :P

These four polishes come from the new permanent collection Nail Colour 3 and they were sent to me by my friend Francesca from The Beauty Case blog as a swap between us, and they are ALL beautiful, really. Essence did a great job with this collection, I advice them with no doubt.

- ESSENCE - NAIL COLOUR 3 - 04 A WALK IN THE PARK: a grass green with subtle turquoise shimmer +  pastel green and light blue microflakies, a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Already swatched but no photos, sorry. 

- ESSENCE - NAIL COLOUR 3 - 01 MIDNIGHT DATE: a shimmer dark blue + jelly blue base green/blue duochrome flakies. A must have. Actually not for me that "shimmer dark blue" is something doesn't miss in my stash at all... And those flakies are quite similar to an Nfu.Oh I own. Shame on me again! ^__^;

- ESSENCE - NAIL COLOUR 3 - 03 KISS ON TOP OF THE ROCK: another real red creme + transparent top coat with orangey opalescent reflection and yellow shimmer. No tried yet, but curious about it!

- ESSENCE - NAIL COLOUR 3 - 05 BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN: dusty dark mauve creme + pink and turquoise shimmer effect. I love it! Already tried it and maybe I already own a top coat like this from H&M, a gift from my cousin. Sigh, I hate having dupes. >_< *SWATCHES SOON*

- ESSENCE - SEASON OF EXTREMES TE - 01 IT'S TWO BRIGHT: luckily I found this trend edition very soon and picked up two duos. Creme + effect don't match so well, but they are great alone. This creme is a wonderful colour, I'm sad because camera doesn't catch it as beautiful as it is. *SWATCHES SOON*

- ESSENCE - SEASON OF EXTREMES TE - 03 WE ARE ALL BRIGHT: another great creme in this duo, really, one of best cremes I've tried EVER. Reflections of this top coat on nails are still a mistery to me, instead... I need to try it as soon as I can.

- ESSENCE - VAMPIRE'S LOVE TE - 04 - THE DAWN IS BROKEN:  when this collection was released I didn't find this one, that I love because it reminds me a kitchen worktop. *_* Nicely Simona sent it to me!

- ESSENCE - REBELS TE - 04 REBELIZER: nothing interesting in this trend edition to me, but I picked up this polish on sale for just € 1 because I like weird and acid colors like this. Not a good purchase, by the way: bad application and doesn't match with my skintone, I'm sad for it... ç__ç

- ESSENCE - FRUITY TE - 01 BANANA JOE + 04 ONE KIWI A DAY: lovely collection! Just it wasn't released in my area... My cousin from Nail Polish Crazy blog picked up these 2 polishes for me from where she lives. I've already worn the kiwi one with a kiwi slice of fimo and it was sooo cuuuute!!! *^__^* *SWATCHES SOON*

PART 2 - MAKE-UP

- ESSENCE - VAMPIRE'S LOVE TE - 01 LOVE AT FIRST BITE: since I didn't find it where I live, Simona (holy woman!) bought it for me and I have to admit that's an amazing palette, very well pigmented. Just the glitter charcoal isn't in this world anymore, because... Ehr... A depotting accident... :P Box became a very useful pillow case! 

- ESSENCE - LEGENDS OF THE SKY TE - 01 - FROM ZERO TO HERO: and this is a gift from my cousin! Another great palette, and I swear I'm sincere about this feedback. With a primer these matte eyeshadows are discreet but amazing, I love the orange and the red the most. *__* 

- ESSENCE - I LOVE EXTREME - VOLUME MASCARA: this mascara is a must-have for lots of girls and bloggers and youtubbers, so I've tried it... Ok, it does its job, and it does it very well, i can't complain about this: lashes are illegally longer with this mascara, just... My eyes are always wet so I need of a waterproof mascara, it can't be helped... I use it under my waterproof mascara and it's better than alone, and I love it, but I can't love it as much as other ladies do, sorry. :(

- ESSENCE - CRYSTALLICED TE - LIPGLOSS - 01 IT'S A SNOW-WOMAN'S WORLD: I know I know... I know the reflection you can see in the tube doesn't show off on your lips, but... Come on! On sale for € 1, sometimes I feel better just staring at that shimmer! XD

- ESSENCE - STAY WITH ME LONG LASTING LIPGLOSS - 06 BERRY ME: another purchase on sale for 1 €, this is a lipgloss with very different feedbacks. To me is a pretty lipgloss, quite pigmented and with a smell of sweets that I love. Doesn't last so long, but I always use a bit of lipstick under it and the world is a better place XD

- ESSENCE - XXXL SHINE LIPGLOSS - 16 WANTED!: this one was a gift from the store, instead. € 10 of Essence shopping and you could choose between this cute lipgloss and an eyeshadow duo. On my left: two matte nude colors for eyes. On my right: silver sparkle for lips. Challenge never started. 

PART 3 - VARIOUS 

- ESSENCE - CRYSTALLICED TE - NAIL ART STICKERS: Cristina and Barbara (my cousin) are crazy! They knew that I loooove nail stickers and I looooooooove snowflakes, so I looooooooooove THESE nail stickers and they gifted to me SO MANY!!! XD

- ESSENCE - NAIL & HAND CARE GLOVES: found them on sale for € 1 and tried. Not so happy, actually... They work perfectly, just... My hands are very small and my nails are short, but these gloves is a size quite bigger than mine and maybe even for ladies with long nails. When I wear them, I feel like Edward scissorhands.  >__<

Finished even this week, at last! I'll finish all the old pics in my pc, I swear!!! è__é/

CULT NAILS - UNICORN PUKE 

It came! It came!!! My baby finally came to me!!! *caress caress* No, you're not drunk, in the pic below there are TWO bottles, but I'm talking just about one, why? Because the second one will be splitted into 2 or 3 smaller bottles for my friends as gift or maybe a future giveaway, I don't know, yet. Numbers of my bottles are 53 and 71 (or 51 and 73? I don't remember XD) of 275 total pieces released. But this means not so much to me, actually: I bought this polish because it's so damned cute!!! *caress caress* I was decided to wait for Clairvoyant (the identical polish on the permanent collection) but I was online exactly when Cult Nails posted on twitter the beginning of the limited sale, and I had received money on my rechargeable credit card right the evening before, so... Why not? *caress caress*

TONY MOLY 

*DROOL* The a-m-a-z-i-n-g Galaxy Collection from the Korean brand Tony Moly. *DROOL AGAIN* My cousin wanted the purple and the grey/glittermulticolor ones, so I made an order for her, adding 3 more polishes for me: the green, the purple again and the copper.  *DROOL EVERYONE* They are a bit expensive, but I really needed for a gift to myself that week. Really.

- Tony Moly - GT04 - Neptune - some medium round bright green glitters and tons of gold microglitters in a dark base
- Tony Moly - GT05 - Jupiter - few medium round duochrome glitters that go from turquoise to green and tons of purple and orange microglitters in a dark base
- Tony Moly - GT03 - Mars - a lot of medium round bronze glitters and tons of orange and blue microglitters in a dark base
- Tony Moly - GT02 - Earth - a lot of colours (especially red and blue) for these microglitters in a dark grey base
Are they fabulous as they look like in the pics? Shit, yes! They has just 2 weak points: the smell and the roughness on the surface when dry, so wear a mask and be generous with your top coat, then the world will smile at you again.

[B]BASIC LEs: NEW YORK & EARTH LIFE STYLE
I'm a big fan of [b]basic polishes, because they are cheap, I can find them on Schlecker stores (there are 6 or 7 of these drugstores in a 5 kilometers radius from my place), they are pretty, small, few are not bad and few are amazing, so I buy one of them with the change I have in my pocket anytime I go there for my regular shopping for my house, aaaaaand... You should to know it: I'm collecting a consistent ammount of bottles and other tools for my next giveaway. For now there are: one bottle of remover, one box of pads remover, 2 files, stickers, top coat fast dry, and a dozen of nail polishes... I really hope you'll like the price! *^__^*

NEW YORK limited edition - Ref. 5770 - 01 Central Park + 02 - Metropolitan
Julep-bottle-style for these classic but still lovely fall colors. €1 for 9 ml each. Medium quality.

EARTH LIFE STYLE lim. ed. - Ref. 5663 - 01 - Black Earth + 02 - Red Earth + 03 - Green Earth
€1,50 each and AMAZING quality: just one coat and great application! This collection is perfection, a lot better than other famous and prestigious high-level brands. A friend of mine pointed up to me that this collection is probably inspired/copied from Chanel - Les Khakis, but... Actually... I think this is better than Chanel LE, and, no, I'm not paid from anyone to say it, and, no, I'm sure about what I'm talking about, and I believe in it. Totally. Long life to [b]basic. If you can find these collection, make a favour to yourself and buy all of them, I'll take the responsability for this advice, but I'm sure you won't do a bad purchase!

CUSTOMIZED LIP PALETTES!

When a friend of mine went to USA for a trip, I asked to her for 2 lip palettes, but it happened a little chain of misfortunes, and one of them came damaged (2 glosses were all around) and the other was simply a mistake and CherryCulture sent the fair of the pink instead of cool browns (thank you Cherry Culture! Ti venisse uno scagotto! XD). Soooo... I customized them! Yay!
How to do this? A candle. A knife. A spoon. Paper towel as if were raining. Steady hand (if it's possible). Patience. And search on youtube words "lip palette customize how to" or "lip palette diy" or something like this. Good luck! ;D

- SONIA KASHUK - Lip Gloss Quad - Natural Nudes *customized 2 of 4*

On the right you can see the original Kashuk shades; on the left there are 2 lipsticks of mine, that perfectly match with the glosses. I made this palette to carry it around with me.

- L.A. GIRL - Lip Palette - Fall in Love *customized 4of 6*

Pink is my kryptonite, so I thrown away 4 glosses of 6 and I preferred to dissolve 4 of my other lipsticks: a [b]basic 5511-23, the Kiko Mat Lipstick 209 mauve beige, then the Kiko Smart Lipstick 13 marrone cappuccino, and my lovely Shiseido Perfect Rouge in RD613 Mystery. Last 2 shades were already in the palette. This palette will stay at home, because the dust can go easily inside. P.S. very good brush included!

FREE TALK
Last 2 weeks were not so good for me, because my health problems have had a relapse, and I don't feel so good, so I had to rest and stay to home. No panic, my therapy is going well, and I should expect few fallout, yet, but they less painful and last for less than before, so I have to be glad for this, even I'm a little' disconsolated because I was hoping to finally find a job again within 2 months, and I have to wait a bit more. On the other hand I have seen many great movies during my rest.
EDDIE REDMAYNE MOVIES
First of all, I've seen few movies with one of my favorite actors: Eddie Redmayne. Oh, Eddie. Oh, oh, oh, Eddie. He's still pretty young but he has talent... No no, let's rewind: talent is just for lucky people who has a gift but doesn't know what to do with it, necessarily: Eddie has talent but he absolutely knows what he's doing, this is rare, even for the most of "great" actors we usually adore and we usually overestimate. But I'm not good to explain myself properly when I'm talking about things I appreciate in a complex way, so... In my macaronic English I can say that this guy can use his talent with great awareness and he's damned good about choosing scripts, so... What the hell, let's go on: this is what I've seen this week:
- LIKE MINDS: a thriller with an amazing (as always)  Toni Collette, and Tom Sturridge, too. Disturbing but not as much disturbing as the director could have if he wanted. Great choice, director. I can't say it better.
- ELIZABETH - THE GOLDEN AGE: I think I was the last person in the world who had not seen this movie, yet, sorry. Aestethically perfect, in a good way, even not so historically realistic in my humble opinion. Also too luxurious, in my humble opinion again.
- THE YELLOW HANDKERCHIEF: an indie on-the-road movie with William Hurt and Kristen Stewart (this is the first time I see her acting). A simple story but told in a delicate prospective. Step by step, without the need to overload facts. Appreciated a lot. Very good movie.
- POWDER BLUE: what a cast!!! Ray Liotta, Forest Whitaker, Eddie (of course) and Jessica Biel, even Lisa Kudrow. A drama with 4 stories of 4 people so different to each other, so desperate in a so different way. This movie reminds me to Wong Kar Wai style when he filmed slices of lives as Chung King Express. Another great movie I advice, my favorite from what I've seen with Eddie until now.
- GLORIOUS 39: another thriller based on Keyes family during the Second World War, a very traditional British house and their adopted child Anne, called Glorious from his "brother". Another great motion picture.
Eddie has acted in other production for theatre and tv, of course, maybe I'll speak a bit again in the future about what I've already seen in the past, if you glad. :)
MISFITS 3rd SEASON
Just a few words for who already know this British grotesque tv series: Misfits first season was a big surprise for me, something totally new; the second one was still very valuable, then... The thrauma. Robert Sheehan leaves the series to filming 2/3 movies, and Nathan Young with him, of course. Big big thrauma. But, I made a deep breath and I tried to think that a great series is not based only on one single great thing, otherwise it isn't a real great series. So, what I'm thinking about the 3rd series? Misfits is still a good series, but no more great. I think they did a mistake, a terrible mistake: try to introduct a character similar to Nathan, but, come on, how it's possible to replace someone like Nathan??? NO WAY! They would have had to create a totally different chara, to avoid comparisons. Because, let's be honest: comparisons with Nathan is lost in the beginning. This is my opinion.
