Urban Decay - Naked Basics palette

ENG: I received this mini palette in a swap with Alice from the Stregalice blog, and it's a lot of time since I started to think to do a post about it, but I felt unconfident in writing something in-depth and with some sense, so I really hope everything is gonna be alright! ;P

ITA: è da tanto che volevo fare una recensione su questa mini palette, che ho ricevuto tramite uno swap con Alice del blog Stregalice, ma non mi sentivo mai all'altezza di poterci scrivere qualcosa di davvero approfondito e sensato, ma è ora di fare il salto, incrocio l'incrociabile e vado! ;P

ENG: this is a very mini palette, dimensions are only 5,5 cm x 10,5 xm x 1,2 cm. At the opposite, the quantity of product is not mini, since each eyeshadow is 1,3 gr for a total amount of 7,8 gr. So this is a very portable palette, but not disposable for sure.
- PACKAGING: I love it: it's compact; lid closes well with no anti hygienic air or dust or liquid infiltrations; made with skidproof rubbery plastic that get dirty not so easily as I was afraid of; and has a mirror as big as the lid. Just a big lack: I think a brush slot was needful for a pocket-size item like this.
- COLOURS: I read some bad critics about the range of colours, because there aren't warm shades and there are only two dark ones, but, from my point of view, this is a very good thing, not a bad one. Predominance of cold nuances allows to you to realize actual nude makeups for any skin-types more than warm colors, plus you can use the palette as a multi purpose item: as base, or to complete a colored makeup, or for blending more peculiar colours, since cold shades fit better than warms to different colours. About majority of light shades I guess that a dark brown and a black are more than enough: with these two ones you can give deepness to the edges, or as eyeliner, or for smokey eyes, or to blend other colours... I think it's better having more light pots than dark, since they always end as first...
1 - Venus is a white highlighter with a hint of champagne, slightly frost, the only no matte shade in the palette
2 - Foky is a very light nude with a vanilla base
3 - W.O.S. is a very light nude with a rosey base
4 - Naked2 is a light taupe in a very cold shade, perfect for blending other colours
5 - Faint is a medium-dark cold brown useful to shade or for your eyebrows
6 - Crave is an actual black extremely black nothing but black :P
- QUALITY: eyeshadows are a bit' powdery when you get them with a brush, but this ain't gonna happen if you get them with your finger; on the other hand, they won't fall out in the application. They are all very pigmented, but texture is superfine only for dark shades, since light ones don't fill completely the skin folds, especially Foxy and W.O.S., that will be a bit' chalky if you don't moisturize properly your skin before. You can easily settle this issue using them wet. Duration is not so great without a base, but with a primer they will last all day long with no fading.
- CONCLUSIONS: in my humble opinion these eyeshadows aren't the best eyeshadows I've ever tried before about formulation, but, as I've written, pros and cons are well balanced and, in the end, I think they still are above the average. In the end I think they are more than ok!  ^__^/

ITA: questa è una palette molto mini nelle dimensioni, misura infatti solo 5,5 cm x 10,5 cm x 1,2 cm, ma la quantità di prodotto, al contrario, non è poi così irrisoria, avendo ogni cialda 1,3 gr di ombretto per un totale di ben 7,8 gr. Quindi tascabilissima, ma non certo usa-e-getta.
- PACKAGING: lo trovo adorabile: compatto; si chiude bene senza anti-igieniche infiltrazioni; fatto di plastica gommosa antiscivolo, ma non si sporca così tanto come temevo; e specchietto grande quanto tutto il coperchio apribile. Unico grosso neo, lo spazio per un pennellino ce lo potevano anche lasciare: un prodotto tascabile deve dare la possibilità di utilizzarlo ovunque senza aggiungere altro in borsa, come minimo.
- COLORI: sul range di colori ho letto critiche relative al fatto che sia una palette che risente dell'assenza di tinte calde e con solo due tonalità scure, ma, dal mio punto di vista, non lo vedo affatto come un problema, al contrario. La prevalenza di tinte fredde, innanzitutto, permette un trucco veramente nude su più fototipi, cosa non del tutto possibile altrimenti, inoltre dà la possibilità di usare la palette sia come base per trucchi elaborati, sia come complemento a makeup colorati per sfumare le nuances più vivaci, potendoli abbinare a colori molto diversi più facilmente di quanto riescano a fare le tinte calde. Per quanto riguarda, invece, la netta maggioranza di tonalità chiare, penso che un marrone scuro e un nero siano più che sufficienti per dare profondità ritoccando il contorno occhi o come eyeliner; realizzare trucchi smokey e sfumare gli altri colori... Penso sia molto più importante avere tante tinte chiare che scure, del resto sono sempre le prime a finire, diciamoci la verità...
1 - Venus è un illuminante bianco con riflessi champagne, leggermente frost, l'unico non mat della palette
2 - Foky è un nude chiarissimo a base color vaniglia
3 - W.O.S. è un nude chiarissimo a base rosata
4 - Naked2 è un taupe chiaro a base molto fredda adatto a sfumare
5 - Faint è un marrone freddo medio-scuro per ombreggiare o per le sopracciglia
6 - Crave è un nero nerissimo
- QUALITA': gli ombretti sono un po' polverosi se prelevati dalla cialda con il pennello, cosa che non succede se ci pucciate il dito, ma non producono fall-out durante l'applicazione, in compenso. Sono tutti molto pigmentati, ma la texture è finissima solo per le tinte scure, mentre i più chiari, soprattutto Foxy e W.O.S., non riempiono totalmente le pieghette della pelle da asciutti, risultando lievemente gessosi se la pelle non viene prima idratata adeguatamente; si può rimediare usandoli bagnati. Non ho riscontrato una durata eccellente senza primer, ma con una base occhi durano tutto il giorno senza il minimo cedimento.
- CONCLUSIONI: a mio modestissimo parere non sono i migliori ombretti provati in vita mia ma, come scritto sopra, hanno pro e contro che si bilanciano, risultando alla fine un prodotto ben aldisopra della media. Quindi per me, in conclusione, è un sì, ma che ve lo dico a fà? :P

DISCONTINUED DAY #4 Kiko from Colours in The World LE

ENG: for this Discontinued Day I decided to post two makeup products that I bought on sale at Kiko. They are both from the 2013 Spring collection, the one called Colours in the World. If you are lucky you can still find them at some Kiko stores, and I wish you are! ;D

ITA: questo mese, per il Discontinued Day, mi dedicherò a due prodotti di makeup della Kiko dall'edizione limitata Colours in the World della primavera 2013, entrambi presi in super saldo. Forse, se avete un po' di sano culo, potreste ancora trovarli in qualche negozio Kiko sui banconi delle offerte, e ve lo auguro! ;D

LONG LASTING LIPSTICK - 05 RED ORCHID

ENG: I've chosen this lipstick because I love dark colors on my lips; anyway it turned out that it's just a medium shade, but it's probably my fault, since my lips are quite pigmented by themselves. By the way, this lipstick has many qualities: it's extremely opaque, really loooong lasting, and it's very comfortable on lips: you can apply it generously, and still don't feel it! For this reason I often use it as base for lipglosses with various effects but not so pigmented. The finish is totally mat, but it doesn't dry my lips: I don't know if I'm lucky or it's in this way for everyone, but... It is so. :P I think this lipstick has just one small flaw, that's I can't draw perfectly the edges without a lip pencil, but I always use a lip pencil, so this isn't a problem at all to me. I was forgetting to talk about the color, but I can't describe it, so take a look to the pic below by yourself (I'm totally useless, I know it... XD)! In the end, I'm really happy for this purchase, really really happy! If you still find it on sale, do a favor to yourself and catch it! ;D

ITA: ho preso questo rossetto perchè amo i colori scuri sulle labbra anche se, alla fine, è invece risultato di una tonalità media, ma è probabilmente causa mia, visto che ho le labbra piuttosto pigmentate. Le doti di questo lipstick, però, sono molte: è estremamente coprente, è veramente loooong lasting, ed è anche molto confortevole sulle labbra: una volta steso, anche generosamente, non lo si sente nemmeno! Per questo motivo lo uso spessissimo come base per gloss ad effetti vari, ma non molto scriventi. Per quanto riguarda il finish è un rossetto totalmente mat, ma non secca le labbra, o almeno su di me non succede. L'unico difettuccio che ha è che non riesco ad applicarlo precisamente sui bordi, e necessita di matita labbra per disegnare il contorno, ma io la matita la metto a prescindere, quindi per me non è per niente problema. Dimenticavo il colore, ma non saprei descriverlo, quindi guardate la foto qui sopra e arrangiatevi (sono inutile, lo so... XD)! In definitiva devo dire che è stato un ottimo acquisto, davvero ottimo! Se lo trovate ancora, nei banchi dei saldi, fatevi un favore e consideratene l'adozione! ;D

COLOUR PARTY PALETTE WET & DRY - 01 PEACH LAKE

ENG:  I must to confess: MAYBE I didn't need of this palette, but... This palette is one of those palettes that's like a multi purposes passe-partout: with a bit' of adaptability you can use a shadow as highilighter, two as blushes and one to define your eyebrows, too. Packaging is adorable, mirrored inside and outside. Quantity of product is a lot. Pigmentation is excellent, unlike most of other palettes from this collection (the other one I think it's great quality is the number 02 - Generous Earth, reviewed from my cousin here). Duration on eyelids is not bad, especially about dark shades. Formulation is very good from my point of view: light shades could be chalky if you get them with a stiff bristles brush, but all of them are no powdery at all in case you're in a hurry and use your fingers to apply eyeshadows. Finish is mainly mat, except the first shadow, that's a few glitter inside of it (but they totally disappear on eyelids) and the fourth one that's shimmer. What else? Range of colors is not so peculiar, but all eyeshadows match very well to each other: they are able to create both day and night makeups, more they fit with most of skintones.
In the end I think that this palette is quite complete, and it's handy to take with yourself. I guess it's also ideal to people who wants not so many products, but they have to be quality and versatile, without imposing usual browns. I paid it on sale only €6, more or less, and it worths this price a lot! ;D

ENG: box + inside + packaging / ITA: scatola + cialde + packaging

ITA: lo confesso: FORSE non ne avevo bisogno, ma ho la brutta abitudine di andare da Kiko quando sono di umore nero e ne esco invece con un sorrisone da pervertita. Non succede spesso, per fortuna.
Ad ogni modo questa palette è una di quelle passe-partout utiliZZime con cui, con un po' di elasticità (quella mentale, intendo), ci si può truccare anche tutta la faccia, utilizzando due cialde anche come blush, una come highlighter, e una per definire le sopracciglia. Inoltre il packaging è adorabile e, anche se ama conservare le ditate per ricordo, è tutta uno specchio, dentro e fuori. La quantità di prodotto è notevole. La pigmentazione è pazzesca, a differenza della maggior parte delle altre palette di questa collezione (si salva la numero 02 - Generous Earth, che mia cugina ha recensito qui), e la loro durata su palpebre non è niente male, soprattutto delle tinte scure. Anche la formulazione è molto buona: nessuna cialda è polverosa, al massimo i colori chiari possono essere un po' gessosi se si prelevano con pennelli a setole un po' rigide; se invece siete di corsa e utilizzate le dita, non avrete alcun problema di sorta. Il finish prevalente è il mat, fanno eccezione solo la quarta cialda, che è shimmer, e la prima, che contiene qualche microglitter sparso, ma non si notano una volta applicato l'ombretto. Che dire ancora? Che il range di colori non sarà originalissimo, ma gli ombretti si sposano benissimo l'uno con l'altro, e ci si ppossono creare trucchi sia da giorno che da sera, e che credo stiano bene sulla maggior parte dei sottotoni di pelle.
In conclusione per me questa palette, per completezza e comodità, è l'ideale da portarsi in viaggio per risparmiare spazio o per chi vuole pochi trucchi, di qualità e versatili, ma senza cadere nei classici marroncini. Poi, per quanto l'ho pagata io, ovvero 6 euro e spiccioli, ma ben venga! ;D

E.L.F. - Eye Enhancing Eyeshadow - Brown Eyes 1

ENG: the E.L.F. Studio line has a new collection called Eye Enhancing, that's 6 palettes with 6 colors each. This one is the Brown Eyes 1 - item code #85136.

DIMENSIONS: cm 10,8 x  6,3 x 1,0.

QUANTITY: 1.2 gr for each eyeshadow, 7.2 gr for all of them.

PRICE: €10 in Italy, $6 in US (I bought it there thanks to an American friend).

PACKAGING: compact, sleek and great quality. I appreciate a lot the ELF Studio items style, especially palettes, because they are simple but with rounded classy shapes. Materials are resistant and don't attract dust and dirt as the NARS one does (ELF Studio is obviously "inspired" by this famous brand); there's also a useful mirror inside; and the opening doesn't break your nails! Just one grumble: the sponge applicator... Why? ELF was used to add a good quality brush in Studio palettes. Sigh.

PIGMENTATION: good on bare skin, better over a primer, shades are semi-opaque but pigmented 

TEXTURE: really good, the higlighter is a bit chalky, but the rest is not powdery at all

DURATION: there's a big gap between light colors and the very long lasting medium and dark shades

COLORS: as you can see, this is a basic palette almost all with browns. The range of color is not original, but very good if you are searching for a basic passepartout with nice shades that match well to each other:

1 - rosey champagne with a slight shimmer, not very pigmented and not durable, btw it's pretty

2 - medium hazel shade with a hint of red, it's matte almost satin, very pigmented and with a good duration

3 - matte cool dark brown extremely pigmented, a deep color that's also long lasting, amazing!

4 - matte whitecream, average pigmentation but a bit chalky and not durable, primer necessarily

5 - this is a color very hard to define, I guess it's a medium/dark antique gold with a hint of olive green, super pigmented and silky, my favorite with the dark brown and the most peculiar shade in the palette 

6 - matte dark blue with a great duration on eyelids, writes a lot but you need to blend it asap

CONCLUSIONS: I know this a very basic and simple palette, and if you already own a lot of eyeshadows, then these ones won't be necessary... I bought it to customize it with lipsticks and I didn't have great expectations, but I'm surprised of it, at last, despite the light shades. It's an ordinary range of color, but I still like it, so I'll use it for a bit of time before customize it. This palette is a bit expensive in Italy/Europe, from my point of view, but I'd advice it for a 30% off, 7 euros it's a good price for it, I think! ^_^

Il materiale è resistente e non acchiappa-schifezze come quello della NARS (a cui la ELF, chiaramente, si "ispira"); specchietto all'interno; e l'apertura non spezza le unghie! Unica pecca, l'applicatore a spugnetta: la ELF ha sempre messo nei cosmetici della linea Studio pennellini a setole sintetiche di ottima qualità, perchè stavolta no? Sigh.
PIGMENTAZIONE: buona su pelle nuda, ma meglio usare un primer, sono semi-coprenti ma pigmentati
TEXTURE: molto buona, a parte l'illuminante un po' gessoso, le altre cialde sono ottime in questo senso
DURATA: altalenante, perchè scarsina per i colori chiari e ottima per i medi e scuri
COLORI: è una palette, come vedete, prevalentemente di marroni, quindi di certo non è un range di colori originale, ma, se cercate un passepartout basico, sono comunque graziosi e si combinano bene tra loro:
1 - champagne rosato chiaro con lieve shimmer, non molto pigmentato nè durevole, comunque carino
2 - nocciola medio con una punta di rosso, è matte ma quasi satin, molto scrivente e di buona durata
3 - marrone freddo scuro mat estremamente pigmentato, un colore profondo e anche durevolissimo, ottimo!
4 - bianco panna mat, media scrivenza e un po' gessoso, neanche molto durevole, necessario primer
5 - colore difficile da definire, credo sia un oro antico medio/scuro con una punta di verde oliva, super pigmentato e setoso, la mia cialda preferita insieme al marrone scuro, è anche la più particolare della palette
6 - un blu scuro matte con una durata eccellente su palpebra, scrive benissimo ma va sfumato in fretta

CONCLUSIONI: so che sembra una palette banalotta, ed in effetti, per chi ha già molti ombretti, lo sarà sicuramente... L'avevo presa solo per poi customizzarla con rossetti e non le davo una lira, invece alla fine mi ha molto sorpresa (ad esclusione delle due tinte chiare) e, pur nella sua ordinarietà, mi piace molto, quindi me la godrò un po' prima di svuotarla e riempirla con i rossetti, com'era in programma. Comunque trovo che il prezzo italiano/europeo sia un po' eccessivo: 10 euro è tantino, ma a 7 euro di valore con il 30% di sconto la consiglierei, sempre se, ovviamente, non avete già marroncini e pacchi! ^_^

TEXTURE: nothing bad, especially last two shades, that are silky and "filled"
DURATION: medium, not so good for the highlighter, but amazing for the blue and the brick shade
COLORS: not so original, but still pretty and they match to each other very well:
1 - very dark blue with a matte base and a few glitter inside of it, very long lasting
2 - dusty blue sky with a satin finish, a good pigmentation for this tasteful shade
3 - light grey matte, I can't say something about its quality, since this color disappears on my skintone
4 - white cream satin, average pigmentation and a bit powdery, but not so bad, at last
5 - auburn orange satin with some gold and copper glitters, super pigmented and durable, gorgeous shadow
6 - light rust/brick shade, awesome quality, especially duration is amazing, my favorite of the palette

CONCLUSIONS: I really liked this palette and I think I'll use it for a while before customizing it with lipsticks. Anyway, in my humble opinion the palette is still a medium quality item with a too high price: in Italy/Europe this palette costs 10 euros! With a sale off (40/50%, at least) I guess it worths the price for sure and I surely advice it, because it's a very pretty item, but 10 euros... Not at all...

TEXTURE: niente male, soprattutto per le due tinte aranciate, in cui è particolarmente setosa e "piena"
DURATA: altalenante: bassina per le due tinte chiare, ottima per blu e mattone, media per le altre
COLORI: non sono originalissimi, ma comunque graziosi e si abbinano bene tra di loro:
1 - blu scurissimo a base matte con qualche glitter blu elettrico, molto durevole sulle palpebre
2 - azzurro polvere satin, una tinta molto raffinata e ben pigmentata
3 - grigio chiaro matte, fatico a dirvene la qualità perchè sulla mia carnagione i grigi scompaiono
4 - illuminante panna satin di pigmentazione media ma un pochino polveroso, comunque decente
5 - arancio ramato satin con qualche glitter oro e rame, pigmentatissimo e durevole, una vera chicca
6 - ruggine chiaro di altissima qualità, soprattutto la durata è pazzesca, il mio preferito della palette

CONCLUSIONI: mi è piaciuta molto, devo dire, tanto che me la godrò un po' prima di svuotarla e customizzarla con i rossetti, come da programma. A mio parere, però, siamo comunque su una qualità media che non giustifica assolutamente il prezzo italiano, che è di ben 10 euro! Coi saldi al 40/50% ci sta: 5/6 euro è un prezzo onestissimo per questa palette e la consiglio, ma 10 proprio no...

SWAP WITH JULIA - PART 3

ENG: my second package from Julia is here, finally! inside the package there were a lot of things, but not all of them were for me. Items for me are: palettes below from E.L.F., a brush set from EcoTools and around twenty hot pots from Coastal Scents, but today I'm going to show you just E.L.F. items. ^_^

ITA: finalmente è arrivato il secondo pacchetto da Julia! Dentro c'erano molte cose, ma non tutte erano per me: tra quelle destinate alla sottoscritta, ci sono queste palettine della E.L.F., un set di pennelli EcoTools e una ventina di cialde di ombretti Coastal Scents, ma queste ultime cose ve le mostrerò più avanti. ^_^

E.L.F. - EYE ENHANCING EYESHADOW

BROWN EYES 1 + BLUE EYES 2

ENG: actually I bought these palettes because I needed something to customize for my lipsticks and these ones are gorgeous and high quality. Anyway, I didn't want to spend 10 euros each, aka the European price, so I decided to take advantage of my American friend, since in US these palettes cost 6 dollars each, more there was a sale off, so I saved a lot of money! Before customization, I'll surely write a review for you: I've chosen these ones because they seem to be the best in pigmentation from the collection they are from.

ITA: in realtà ho preso queste palette per svuotarle e customizzarle con rossetti, perchè il loro packaging mi piace da morire ed è di grande qualità; mi scocciava però spenderci 10 euro per ognuna, ovvero il prezzo europeo. Negli Stati Uniti, invece, costano solo 6 dollari l'una, in più erano anche in offerta, quindi, tramite "l'intermediaria americana", ho risparmiato non poco! Prima di personalizzarle, però, farò comunque una recensione per voi: ho scelto le due che mi sembrava avessero la qualità migliore.

S.HE Stylezone - Eyeshadow Quattro - 152 / 217

ENG: do you remember my Slovenian haul of at DM Drogerie Markt? This one, that made me like a Alice in Wonderland under LSD... By the way... I bought this mini eyeshadow palette from S.HE Stylezone brand, the number 152/217, an adorable quad blue/teal with a stackable packaging, like a LEGO.
It's a thiny tiny box: only 4,5 x 4,5 x 1,7 cm, pots are 1,1 x 1,1 cm each, price is more or less € 4.00, and I absolutely know nothing about quantity of product nor the INCI. :P

PROS: portabile, impilabile, doppiamente portabile perchè impilabile, buona pigmentazione di tutte le cialde, da bagnati gli ombretti diventano ancora più gnocchi, e la cialda ottanio è un pro per conto suo.

CONS: le due cialde chiare sono un po' polverose e hanno scarsa durata, anche se applicate sopra ad una base per occhi, anche se bagnate, anche se fissate dopo.

CONCLUSIONS: è indubbiamente un prodotto medio: media qualità, media quantità, medio prezzo. Probabilmente è stato studiato anche per un medio target, forse perfino medio-basso, eppure, nonostante questo, possiede un fantasioso minimalismo che lo rende originalmente unico: laddove non è stato possibile avvalersi di materiali pregiati, si ha avuto l'intelligenza di creare un prodotto semplice ma al contempo divertente, comodo, versatile, e, alla fine, pure di qualità più che decente. ITA:  vi ricordate del mio haul fatto in Slovenia un po' di tempo fa al DM Drogerie Markt? Questo qui, per intenderci, quello da cui sono uscita come Alice sotto i funghi allucinogeni del Brucaliffo dalla gioia... Tra le cose prese c'era anche questa mini palettina di ombretti della S.HE Stylezone, la numero 152 / 217, un adorabile quad blu/ottanio dal packaging impilabile come un LEGO.
E' una confezione piccina picciò di soli 4,5 x 4,5 x 1,7 cm, le singole cialde misurano 1,1 x 1,1 cm cadauna, il prezzo è di circa € 4.00, e non so nulla sulla quantità di prodotto nè sull'INCI.  :P

PRO: portabile, impilabile, doppiamente portabile perchè impilabile, buona pigmentazione di tutte le cialde, da bagnati gli ombretti diventano ancora più gnocchi, e la cialda ottanio è un pro per conto suo.

1 - electric blue semi-sheer and well blendable; wet it's highly intense and the finish goes from satin to metal
2 - a medium greenish teal slighty glittered with a wonderful formulation: it's super pigmented, application is even and very long lasting; more, wet is awesome
3 - very light pastel sky blue, it's a bit powdery and with a poor duration; wet it has more shimmer and it's more creamy, so you can fix the powderness problem, but not that one related to duration, sadly
4 - very light pastel mint with the same features than number 3

ITA: e, come al solito, un veloce riassunto delle 4 cialde:
1 - blu elettrico satinato semi-trasparente e facilmente sfumabile; se utilizzato bagnato è una meraviglia:  l'intensità di colore aumenta a dismisura e il finish, da satin, diventa metallizzato
2 - ottanio verdastro di tonalità media leggermente glitterato con una formulazione eccezionale: è  super pigmentato, si stende omogeneamente e dura moltissimo; da bagnato, poi, è un tripudio di beltade
3 - celestino pastello chiarissimo, un po' polveroso e di durata discutibile; se applicato bagnato è molto più shimmer e cremoso, eliminando il problema della polverosità, ma non quello della scarsa durata, purtroppo
4 - menta pastello chiarissimo con le stesse caratteristiche tecniche del numero 3

Technic - Electric Beauty - Pinks / Purples Palette

ENG: do you remember the super cheap (only € 2,95 each!) palettes that my cousin picked up for me? Here the pics of them as reminder, here and here reviews of the previous ones I've already swatched. :)

PROS: some eyeshadows are amazing, really awesome!

CONS: as other Technic palettes I've tried, the quality of formulation is fluctuating, especially about powdery and fallout during application. There are a few colors very close to each other, and with different quality to each other, so one of them is pointless.
CONCLUSIONS: this is the less exciting palette from Technic to me, but, I'll be honest, this is because I'm not a fan of pinks and purples on eyes. But I also think that this palette is very cute for who loves them, despite my taste, and some shades are gorgeous, maybe this is my chance to try something new to me.

ITA: ricordate le palettine super economiche (solo €2,95 l'una!) che mia cugina mi ha regalato? Qui le loro immagini come promemoria, e qui e qui le recensioni delle due che ho già swatchato in precedenza. :)

PRO: alcune cialde sono stupende, ma davvero davvero stupende!

CONTRO: come altre palette di questa marca la qualità è altalenante, soprattutto in polverosità e fallout durante l'applicazione. Per quanto riguarda il range di colori, ce ne sono diversi molto simili tra loro, di cui magari uno di buona qualità e l'altro no, quindi eliminabilissimi dalla palette.

CONCLUSIONI: tra le 4 palette di questa marca che possiedo, è sicuramente quella che mi entusiasma di meno, ma anche perchè non amo questi colori, lo ammetto. In generale, però, penso sia molto carina per chi, invece, li apprezza, e comunque, perfino per me, alcune di queste cialde sono stupende, magari mi serviranno  proprio come incentivo per sperimentare di più questo range di colori, da me tanto demonizzato :P

ENG: a fast roundup of all colors:

1 - my favourite, totally! It's some kind of "top coat effect" as eyeshadow: it's a sheer white with a strong opal reflection in purple and blue. You can use it as highlighter, or alone on eyelids for a simple makeup to do but very peculiar to show off, or over dark eyeshadows to add some shimmer to obtain a duochrome effect in the end. Amazing over numbers 7 and 12!

2 - a light and delicate pastel lilac with a creamy texture
3 - this one and number 9 are a couple of corals, this is the lightest and has a medium quality
4 - almost the same as 6, this one is just a hint darker and just a hint more pigmented, but just a hint!
5 - just a simple baby pink with a decent formula
6 - read again the number 4 :P
7 - a wonderful satin and bright purple, very durable and an even application
8 - pretty colour, but very bad quality: sheer, extremely powdery and a rough texture
9 - read again number 3, plus this one is more pigmented, less powdery and more long lasting. Very good!
10 - close to number 9 but pinker than it, by the way, a bad formulation: powdery and poor pigmented
11 - a very bad pot, from my point of view: an extremely powdery pink with a low pigmentation
12 - a satin fuchsia with a slight purple reflection, beautiful and very long lasting on lids!

ITA: e, come al solito, un veloce riassuntone di tutte le cialde:

1 - il mio preferito in assoluto!!! E' una specie di "top coat effect" versione ombretto: un bianco sheer super opalescente con riflessi violacei e bluastri. Da usare come illuminante, o da solo sulla palpebra mobile per un trucco semplice da fare ma originale da sfoggiare, oppure sopra ad ombretti scuri per dare loro un riflesso aggiuntivo e farli diventare praticamente degli ombretti duochrome. Sopra i numeri 7 e 12 è il top!

2 - chiaro e delicato lilla pastello con una texture molto cremosa
3 - questo e il numero 9 fanno l'accoppiata dei coralli, questo è il più chiaro dei due ed è di buona qualità
4 - quasi uguale al numero 6, questo è giusto una mini puntina più scuro e un mini pelino più pigmentato
5 - un semplicissimo rosa baby di qualità decente
6 - rileggere il numero 4 :P
7 - meraviglioso viola brillante satinato, durevolissimo e compatto nella stesura.
8 - colore carino, ma pessima qualità: sheer, estremamente polveroso e a grana un po' grossa
9 - rileggere il numero 3 e aggiungere che questo è più scrivente, meno polveroso e più durevole, ottimo!
10 - simile al 9, di cui è la versione più rosata, però pessima formulazione: polverosissimo e poco scrivente
11 - cialda davvero pessima, dal mio punto di vista: un rosa estremamente polveroso e poco scrivente
12 - fucsia satinato con un lieve riflesso violaceo, stupendo e anche molto durevole sulle palpebre!

Technic - Electric Beauty - Greens / Blues Palette

ENG: do you remember the super super cheap (only € 2,95 each!) palettes that my cousin picked up for me? Here the pics of them as reminder, and here the review of the first one I previously bought bt myself. :)

PROS: the excellent pigmentation of most of pots and the lovely colors

CONS: fluctuating quality, especially about powdery and fallout during application; there are three couples of very close shades to each other (1 and 7, 2 and 8, 5 and 12)
CONCLUSIONS: if you like these kind of colors, or if you want to try something different, this is a must have: a tasty little cuddle to gift to yourself, despite the low quality of some shades and the almost-dupes :)

PRO: eccellente pigmentazione della maggior parte delle cialde e colori adorabili

CONTRO: qualità altalenante, soprattutto per polverosità e fallout durante l'applicazione; ci sono inoltre tre coppie di colori molto simili tra loro (1 e 7, 2 e 8, 5 e 12)

CONCLUSIONI: se vi piacciono i colori, o se non ne avete e volete provarli, è un must: una sfiziosa piccola coccola da regalarsi, nonostante la bassa qualità di alcuni ombretti e la somiglianza tra alcune cialde :)

ENG: a fast roundup of all colors:
1 - shimmer green grass, creamy texture and great pigmentation, love this eyeshadow!
2 - almost the same as number 8, but "roguher", less pigmented, less longevous, and uneven. Rejected.
3 - a beautiful teal, creamy and super pigmented!
4 - a very light pastel green a bit uneven and not so durable, but still decent.
5 - a bright turquoise that's long lasting and well blendable.
6 - a very nice satin blurple with good quality and very long lasting!
7 - almost the same of number 1, it's just a bit lighter than it, but much powdery and less durable. Fail.
8 - a lovely mint green with good pigmentation and texture.
9 - very close to number 8, but brighter. Medium quality.
10 - gorgeous taupe that's super shimmer, super creamy, super pigmented and also super long lasting!
11 - a light ice blue not so good: rough texture, poor duration, only an average evenness and pigmentation
12 - almost a dupe of number 5, just a bit darker and intense, but just a little bit!

ITA: e, come al solito, un veloce riassuntone di tutte le cialde:
1 - verde prato shimmer, texture cremosa e molto pigmentato, gran bell'ombretto!
2 - quasi identico all' 8, ma a grana più grossa, meno pigmentato, meno durevole, e non omogeneo. Scartato.
3 - un gran bell'ottanio, cremoso e pigmentato!
4 - verde pastello chiarissimo un po' disomogeneo nella stesura e poco durevole, ma comunque decente.
5 - turchese brillante di buona durata e facilmente sfumabile.
6 - un bel blurple satinato di buona qualità e ottima durata!
7 - praticamente uguale al numero 1, solo un po' più chiaro, ma più polveroso e meno durevole. Bocciato.
8 - un adorabile verde menta con una buona scrivenza e consistenza.
9 - molto simile al numero 8, ma più brillante come intensità di colore. Media qualità.
10 - stupendo tortora super shimmer, super cremoso, super scrivente, e anche super durevole!
11 - azzurro ghiaccio chiaro così così: grana grossolana, poca durata, e solo media pigmentazione e stesura
12 - quasi un dupe del numero 5, ma leggermente più scuro e intenso, ma proprio leggermente!

HAUL
ENG: a few weeks ago I took advantage from a very interesting promotion on the E.L.F. website to buy a few needed items plus a one whim more as extra cuddle. :)

ITA: alcune settimane fa ho approfittato di una interessantissima promozione dal sito della E.L.F. per acquistare alcune cose basiche indispensabili più un piccolo capriccio. :)

E.L.F. STUDIO - POWDER BRUSH

ENG: people say that this brush works very well as multipurpose helper: it's for pressed and mineral powders, and even for creamy and liquid foundations, so I'm curious to figure out if it's true. I read a lot of good reviews about it, so I ordered it as soon as I could, more it costs a lot less of other high quality items I really like but I can't afford right now, for example the Everyday Minerals or the Neve Cosmetics ones.
Update: I'm using it for almost a month so far and I'm happy with it especially for blushes. I prefer a softer brush for powders (to avoid that leads around the unferlying foundation) and a thicker one for mineral foundation (because a kabuki attivates microcirculation better). I didn't try it for liquid foundation, yet. ;)

ITA: mi serviva assolutamente un pennello che, come questo, funzionasse bene sia per polveri compatte che per minerali liberi, e anche per creme e fondi liquidi: un passe-partout, insomma, quindi ora vediamo come si comporterà. Di lui avevo sentivo sempre parlare così bene che ho voluto ordinarlo appena ho potuto, inoltre costa un terzo rispetto ad altri pennelli simili di buona qualità, quali quello di Everyday Minerals e Neve Cosmetics, su cui sbavo da un bel pezzo ma che, ora come ora, non posso proprio permettermi.
Aggiornamento: lo sto usando da quasi un mese e l'utilizzo per cui mi sto trovando meglio è per il fard. Per la cipria ne preferisco uno più morbido (onde evitare che porti in giro il fondotinta sottostante), e uno più folto per il fondo minerale (un buon kabuki attiva di più la microcircolazione durante il "massaggio" dell'applicazione). Non l'ho ancora provato per fondi liquidi, invece, ma vi farò sapere. ;)

E.L.F. STUDIO - EYE TRANSFORMER

ENG: and this is the whim! It's a palette with 4 opalescent eyeshadows. You can barely see the differences between the colors, if you apply them alone. With a dark base, instead, they transform themselves into enchanting metallic reflections in green, copper, purple or blue. Amazing. I can't say nothing more today, but I'm going to do a review of this as soon as me and "it" we'll be closer to each other. ;P

ITA: e questo è il capriccio! E' una mini palette con 4 ombretti opalescenti di cui si riesce a malapena a distinguere il colore, se applicati da soli. Sopra ad una base colorata, invece, e preferibilmente scura, trasformano il colore sottostante in una incantevole riflessione metallica sul verde, rame, viola o blu. Spettacolare. Non so dire altro per ora, magari farò una recensione quando saremo più in confidenza. ;)

E.L.F. STUDIO - WATERPROOF LENGTHENING & VOLUMIZING MASCARA - BLACK

ENG: my faithful mascara: I simply ended the previous one and I don't want to replace it with something else, so I rebought it again. It's the only one that doesn't run away from my wet lashes. :)

ITA: il mio fido mascara: avevo semplicemente finito la precedente confezione e non volevo sostituirlo con qualcos'altro, così l'ho ricomprato. E' l'unico che non fugge via dalle mie ciglia sempre bagnaticce. :)

E.L.F. STUDIO - PRESSED POWER - PORCELAIN

ENG: my E.L.F. Mineral Booster ended... My other E.L.F. mineral-powder-that-I-don't-remember-its-name ended... My Lily Lolo Finishing Powder in Flawless Silk ended... Argh! Need some decent rescue powder! So I've tried with this. It seems good, I must to admit it, but it's too soon to say it for sure. ^^
Update: I'm using it every day and I'm liking it very much, I must to admit it. I like its coverage (by the way, lighter shade could not fit for pale skintones), I like the fact it doesn't create the cakey effect, I really like it. Just one defect: it isn't long lasting, and you'll need of touch ups. I don't care about being perfect all day long (because I'm not at all, even as soon as I've did my makeup XD) so this powder is very good for €4,50! :D

ITA: la mia cipria E.L.F. Mineral Booster finita... L'altra mia cipria E.L.F. di-cui-non-ricordo-assolutamente-il-nome era finita... La Lily Lolo Finishing Powder in Flawless Silk era finita pure lei... Mapporc! Necessitavo subito di una cipria al volo di qualità decente! Così ho provato a prendere questa, e, devo ammetterlo, non sembra niente male per ora, ma è ancora presto per dirlo con certezza. ^^
Aggiornamento: la sto utilizzando quasi ogni giorno e al centro ha già raggiunto la cialdina. Mi sta piacendo devo dire: mi piace la coprenza (attenzione che, anche la tonalità più chiara, potrebbbe essere troppo scura per le pelli pallide), mi piace che non faccia l'effetto mascherone, mi piace proprio tanto. Unico difetto, non ha una lunga durata sulla pelle, e necessita di ritocchini se ci tenete ad essere sempre a posto quando state fuori molte ore. A me non frega granchè (sono ben lungi dalla perfezione anche appena truccata e/o miracolata! XD), quindi per 4 euro e spicci mi va da Dio! :D

Sleek - i-divine palette - Bad Girl

ENG: an old release from Sleek you can still find into the permanent collection: a palette with a bunch of smokey shades plus a couple of highlighters. By the way, let's see the details:
PROS: some eyeshadows are great, both in quality and colors: numbers 3, 4, 7, 9 and 11 are simply amazing. A very useful palette for smokey eyes lovers. I love the basic idea of proposing a line with neutral shades from white to black, and another one with colors, although they are very very dark. 

CONS: first of all, too much similarity between some shades (5, 6 e 8): they could be replaced in a more useful way (for example, for an actual green). Formula is too fluctuating, there' a big gap between good things and bad ones, even inside a single eyeshadow! Highlighters are quite disappointing to me: I'd prefer a shimmer and a matte, or maybe continuing on the darks path.
CONCLUSIONS: I can't decide... There's a problem: eyeshadow I love are just the half from the palette. I love them a lot, but just the half... If I should replace some shades, then it will become an amazing palette. Despite this, does it worth its price? Probably yes, for more or less 10 euros, but I think it is more suitable for who doesn't own many products, or who loves smokey eyes and is learning how to realize them without spending a lot, but for everybody else... I can't decide...

ITA: una vecchia palette Sleek che trovate ancora tranquillamente nella collezione permanente: un bel po' di cialde per smokey e un paio di highlighters come extra. Ma vediamola nel dettaglio:

PRO: alcuni ombretti sono eccezionali sia in qualità, sia in tonalità: i numeri 3, 4, 7, 9 e 11 sono semplicemente fan-ta-sti-ci. Palette utilissima per le amanti degli smokey eyes, e ottima l'idea di base di proporre una riga di neutri dal bianco al nero, e una riga di colori, sebbene scurissimi.
CONTRO: io direi, senza dubbio, la somiglianza di alcune tinte tra di loro (5, 6 e 8), che le renderebbero di fatto sostituibili in modi più proficui (come un verde che si capisca che è un verde, per esempio). La formulazione è molto altalenante, c'è un gap notevole tra alti e bassi, a volte perfino all'interno di una singola cialda. Abbastanza deludenti i due illuminanti, e, a mio parere, è anche superfluo che siano entrambi shimmer, tanto valeva continuare sulla scia dei colori scuri.
CONCLUSIONI: sono combattuta... Il problema è che le cialde che amo sono a malapena la metà, sebbene quelle poche le ami davvero molto... Se un giorno mi dovessero girare, e non è escluso che succeda, sostituirei qualche ombretto e diventerebbe una palette fantastica. Vale lo stesso il suo prezzo? Per 10 euro o poco meno probabilmente sì, ma forse è più adatta a chi non ha molti ombretti, o a chi ama gli smokey e/o vuole imparare a farli senza spendere capitali, ma in altri casi... Sono combattuta...

ENG: let's go with the roundup of all shades:
1 - INNOCENCE: a shimmer, sheer and powdery white, better as highlighter than eyeshadow
2 - GULLIBLE: a shimmer skin pink that's very sheer when's dry, but well pigmented when's wet
3 - BLADE: a metallic silver, very powdery (massive fall out) but extremely pigmented
4 - GUN METAL: a dark super-metallic silver, great dry but amazing wet: long lasting and creamy
5 - UNDERGROUND: a satin charchoal, it's poor pigmented and doesn't blend well, failed
6 - NOIR: a great matte (almost) black, a bit chalky but very long-lived, perfect as eyeliner
7 - INTOXICATED: a metallic dark forest green, very good formula and amazing wet
8 - ENVY: a very dark green (with a bit of imagination), a lot of fall out and just fairly pigmented
9 - OBNOXIOUS: one of my favorite dark blue ever: matte, silky and a wonderful eyeliner when wet
10 - ABYSS: a very dark blue jeans with a satin finish, poor pigmented but very long lasting
11 - TWILIGHT: an enchanting satin purple! not so well blendable, but a lot pigmented and durable
12 - REBEL: a mat burgundy a bit chalky and poor pigmented when's dry, but wet is... wow

ITA: via con la solita carrellata di descrizioni, cialda per cialda:

1 - INNOCENCE: un bianco shimmer, sheer e polveroso, migliore come highlighter che ombretto
2 - GULLIBLE: un rosa carne shimmer, poco pigmentato da asciutto, ma niente male da bagnato
3 - BLADE: un argento metallico, molto polveroso (massiccio fall out) ma estremamente pigmentato
4 - GUN METAL: argento scuro metallico, ottimo asciutto ma grandioso bagnato: durevole e cremoso
5 - UNDERGROUND: un antracite satin, poco pigmentato e si sfuma male, bocciato
6 - NOIR: un ottimo (quasi) nero mat, un po' gessoso, ma molto longevo, perfetto come eyeliner
7 - INTOXICATED: un verde foresta scuro metallico, ottima formula ed eccezionale da bagnato
8 - ENVY: un verde (con un po' di fantasia) satin molto scuro, tanto fall out e solo media scrivenza
9 - OBNOXIOUS: uno dei miei blu scuri preferiti: mat, setoso, e, da bagnato, un meraviglioso eyeliner
10 - ABYSS: un blue jeans molto scuro satinato, poco scrivente ma estremamente durevole
11 - TWILIGHT: un incantevole viola satin! non granchè da sfumare, ma pigmentatissimo e durevole
12 - REBEL: un borgogna mat un po' gessoso e poco pigmentato da asciutto, bagnato, invece... wow

Sleek - i-divine palette - Original

ENG: this palette has no need of many words, because it is the most well-known and sold palette from the British brand Sleek. Sleek renewed the formulation of these eyeshadows recently: the surface is now smooth and not like a waffle as previously; but the most important thing is that the consistence is less friable than before; shadows are still very powdery, but more creamy and dense, definitely much better.
I'm not going to do my usual list color by color this time, because all shadows has the same quality and technical details that you can already find in pros and cons descriptions.
PROS: first of all, the pigmentation! Every single shadow is highly pigmented and writes with no need of taking much product. More, they blend very well; all these eyeshadows have extreme shimmer and deepness, they are longevous and, last but not least, the palette has a great range of colors: it's not complete, but diversified and very well balanced between "basics" and peculiar shades.

CONS: I'm totally in love with this palette, why I should to force myself finding defects? Ok, I'll try... Shimmer shades (11 of 12) are powdery, but I'm quite sure no one will commit suicide for this. There isn't a light matte for blending, but you all already own a lot of them, so don't complain too much, please. There's a massive fall out, but you just need to keep more attention and use a few tricks. Ah! There is no bright pinks. But I hate bright pinks, so yay! How many unforgivable lacks... Why the hell I bought it? Because I love it!!! Find by yourself the lacks, I refuse to do something nonsense like this! And now I must to go to my palette and give it a little kiss. I don't want it thinks I don't love it as much as it deserves.
CONCLUSIONS: if you like these colors, then buy it with no fuss. I was forgetting: it's A LOT better in real life than photos!

ITA: questa palette non ha sicuramente bisogno di molte presentazioni, perché è, probabilmente, la palette più famosa, ed anche la più venduta, del brand inglese Sleek. Va anche detto che, nell'ultimo anno, la Sleek ha riformulato la qualità di questi ombretti: ora le cialde sono lisce in superficie e non tipo wafer; ma soprattutto non tendono più a sgretolarsi appena le si sfiora, come succedeva in precedenza; sono ancora alquanto polverose, ma più compatte e cremose, decisamente migliorate.
Questa volta non farò la lista colore per colore, perché in questa palette le cialde hanno tutte le stesse caratteristiche tecniche, che trovate già descritte nei pro e contro.

PRO: prima di tutto, la pigmentazione! Ogni singola cialda scrive tantissimo, senza bisogno di insistere nel prelevare il prodotto, e, nonostante questo, si sfumano tutte egregiamente. Altri pregi di questi ombretti sono l'estrema brillantezza e profondità dei colori, la loro durata, e, ultimo ma non ultimo, un range di colori variegato, non completissimo, ma molto ben bilanciato tra tinte "basiche" e altre più particolari.
CONTRO: sono follemente innamorata di questa palette, perchè costringermi a doverle trovare dei difetti? Ok, ci provo... Le cialde shimmer (11 su 12) sono polverose, ma ci suicideremo per questo? Anche no. Manca un mat chiaro per sfumare, ma ne ho già? Na caterva. Gli ombretti durante l'applicazione sono soggetti facilmente a fall out? Ci starò più attenta. Non c'è un rosa più acceso? Meglio, io odio il rosa. Quanti intollerabili difetti ha questa palette, accidenti, perchè l'ho comprata? Perchè la adoro!!! Trovateveli voi i difetti, io mi rifiuto! E ora vado a darle un bacino, non vorrei si sentisse trascurata.
CONCLUSIONI: se vi piacciono i colori che propone, compratela senza tante fregnacce. Dimenticavo: dal vero è TANTO più bella che in foto.

Sleek - PPQ Shangri La collection - Supreme palette

ENG: one of the 2 new palettes released by Sleek in the collection made in collaboration with PPQ. I've already swatched and reviewed the other one, Respect, HERE.
PROS: an almost total matte palette (the highlighter is the only one no matte) with unusual colors like olives? To my tastes, this is a big win. But there's even more: a few delicate shades to soften the strong ones; a very good quality of formula (not a so common thing for mattes), despite some chalky pots; and an interesting choice of well matched quads... A total win!

CONS: I can find just an only one shortage in this palette, and it's about the pastel shadows plus the grey. They are very chalky and you'll need to work them more than usual to obtain an even application.
CONCLUSIONS: this is an unusual palette about the range of colors, and you can realize it at the very first glance at it. Since shades are so peculiar, then the palette couldn't fit to all skintone types: I think it is perfect for mediterranean and tanned skins, and couldn't fit so well for pale and pinkish skins. By the way, I refuse to put this thing in the "cons" list, because you can wear any kind of color, you just need to use your fantasy to find smart tricks. This isn't a needful palette, I'm aware of it, but I think it offers a variety of   uncommon combos, with a good quality and low cost.

ITA: una delle 2 nuove palette della Sleek, realizzate in collaborazione con PPQ. L'altra, la Respect, l'ho già swatchata e recensita QUI. In Italia le trovate da Sephora, ma dovrebbero essere in edizione limitata.

PRO: una palette quasi totalmente matte (solo l'highlighter non lo è) con colori inusuali come i verdi oliva, è, per i miei gusti, già un "pro" grande come una casa. Consideriamo poi il valore aggiunto di   alcune tinte delicate per stemperare i toni forti; una qualità sopra la media per dei matte (nonostante qualche cialda polverosa); e la proposta, a mio parere, di 3 quad abbinati molto bene; i "pro" sono una bomba.
CONTRO: l'unica carenza che trovo in questa palette è l'inferiore qualità delle cialde pastello e del grigio chiaro, molto "gessose", e bisogna lavorarle un po' per ottenere un risultato omogeneo e pieno.
CONCLUSIONI: che sia una palette diversa dal solito, in quanto a range di colori, è evidente dal primo sguardo. Avendo colori particolari è di conseguenza non adattissima a tutti i sottotoni di pelle: credo sia perfetta per pelli mediterranee e di colore, mentre potrebbe non abbinarsi troppo su pelli pallide e rosate. Non me la sento, comunque, di annoverare questa caratteristica tra i difetti: con qualche trucco cromatico potete indossare qualsiasi colore, basta applicarsi un po' e inventarsi alcune soluzioni furbe. Non è sicuramente una palette indispensabile, ma per chi, come me, piace tentare ogni tanto con colori insoliti, offre una varietà di combinazioni non banali, gran qualità, e con una spesa molto contenuta.

1 - BLUE SUEDE: a sky blue, not very pigmented neither durable, but well blendable
2 - R&B: a dark blue super matte, very pigmented but sheer, a silky formula and very long lasting
3 - BRONX BLACK: a charchoal black extremely pigmented and longevous, blend it as soon as you can
4 - P-FUNK: a medium olive crazily pigmented, a not conventional shade with a great quality!
5 - GRAND MASTER FLASH: a bright dark yellow a bit chalky but with a strong final effect
6 - WAH WAH WHITE: the only no matte shadow, a frost white, creamy and with a great formula
7 - LA BELLE BLUE: a light periwinkle, no big lacks, no big credits, just a good one
8 - SMOKEY ROBINSON: a light grey that disappears on my skintone, chalky and not so pigmented
9 - AL GREEN: a browny olive, average pigmented but excellent in everything else
10 - DELFONIC: a light olive almost mustard, another very good shade in blending and duration
11 - COMMODORES CREAM: a pastel mint pigmented but chalky, well blendable but not long lasting
12 - SHANGRI LA'S LEMON: a pastel buttery yellow very close in formula to the previous one

1 - BLUE SUEDE: un delicato azzurro, non molto pigmentato nè durevole, ma ben sfumabile
2 - R&B: un blu scuro mat, molto pigmentato ma un po' sheer, formula setosa e molto longevo su pelle
3 - BRONX BLACK: un nero quasi antracite estremamente scrivente e durevole, da sfumare in fretta
4 - P-FUNK: un oliva medio follemente scrivente, una tonalità non convenzionale di grandiosa qualità
5 - GRAND MASTER FLASH: un acceso giallo scuro un po' polveroso ma con un forte effetto finale
6 - WAH WAH WHITE: l'unico ombretto non mat, un bianco frost cremoso e con una formula eccezionale
7 - LA BELLE BLUE: un pervinca chiaro senza infamia e senza lode, una buona cialda e amen
8 - SMOKEY ROBINSON: un grigio chiaro che scompare sul mio sottotono di pelle, anche gessoso
9 - AL GREEN: un oliva/marrone di media pigmentazione ma eccellente in tutto il resto
10 - DELFONIC: un oliva giallastro quasi mostarda, un'altra cialda di ottima qualità in sfumabilità e durata
11 - COMMODORES CREAM: menta pastello pigmentato ma polveroso, sfumabile ma non durevole
12 - SHANGRI LA'S LEMON: un giallo burro pastello molto simile nella formula al precedente

Sleek - PPQ Shangri La collection - Respect palette

ENG: this is one of the 2 last palettes released by Sleek in the collection made in collaboration with PPQ. Luckily they were also available very soon in Italy, and I picked up both ;D
Pros: almost all of shades have a silky formula and an amazing longevity; if you are not a fussy person, this palette could also be an  everyday & all-face palette, a very useful passe-partout! 

Cons: many colors are not so well blendable, so it's better to do it as fast as possibile; more, there are too many highlighters close to each other and with a medium/low quality, this is a pity...
Conclusions: I noticed that many shades are very close to other colors from other Sleek items, especially from Au Naturel palette (numbers 2, 3, 4, 9 and 10) and the Lace blush trio (colors 6 and 11). I think Au Naturel is a very good item, but no so needful if you already own other basics of good quality (I prefer that nudes have a higher level of formula), and I want to be sincere: I wouldn't bought Au Naturel and Lace if the Respect palette would have been released as first, because this palette is enough for my everyday needs, despite the three almost-white shades, that could have been replaced better.

ITA: questa è una delle ultime 2 palette della Sleek, realizzate in collaborazione con PPQ. Fortunatamente sono uscite anche in Italia molto presto, e così le ho prese entrambe! ;P

Pro: quasi tutte le cialde hanno una formula setosa e una durata eccezionale; se non siete schizzinosi questa può essere una palette da ogni giorno e anche all-face, un passe-partout molto utile!
Contro: molti colori non sono facilmente sfumabili, ed è meglio sfumarli appena applicati prima che si fissino; ci sono troppi illuminanti simili e di qualità discutibile, e questo è davvero un gran peccato...
Conclusioni:  ho notato che ci sono diverse cialde simili ad altri colori di altri prodotti Sleek, soprattutto dalla palette Au Naturel (numeri 2, 3, 4, 9 e 10) e dal trio di blush Lace  (6 e 11). Penso che la Au Naturel sia un egregio prodotto, ma non così indispensabile se già si possiedono colori basici di buona qualità (e io preferisco che i nude abbiano un livello qualitativo maggiore), e sarò sincera: non credo avrei acquistato la Au Naturel nè il trio Lace se la palette Respect fosse uscita prima, perchè è più che sufficiente alle mie necessità quotidiane, nonostante i tre illuminanti, che avrebbero potuto essere sostituiti meglio.

ENG: let's go with the roundup of all shades:
1 - GLADYS WHITE: a matte white, quite chalky and not much long lasting, but a decent highlighter
2 - JAMES BROWN: a cold brown with a slight shimmer, great pigmentation and duration, amazing!
3 - SHALAMAR: a matte bricked ochra with a wonderful formula, a bit sheer but silky and longevous
4 - COUNT BASI BEIGE: a white cream mat, medium/low quality but enough as base
5 - ARETHA ORANGE: a bright shimmer orange very very veeeeery long lasting
6 - OTIS RED: a satin coral well blendable and with an amazing longevity, I'd use it as blush, too
7 - ROBERTA BLACK: a matte black, silky, extremely pigmented and long lasting, perfect as eyeliner
8 - VANDELLAS: a burgundy supermat, silky and durable, but no so pigmented as I wished
9 - CAMEO CREAM: a good white cream highlighter, even and well pigmented
10 - MOTOWN MINK: a beige matte, poor pigmented, but good as blender
11 - O'JAYS: the star of the palette, for sure, a golden rose super shimmered with a flawless formula
12 - NEW JACK PINK: a matte bright barbie pink perfect as blush and a very good quality

8 - VANDELLAS: un bordeaux supermat, setoso e durevole, ma non così pigmentato come speravo
9 - CAMEO CREAM: un buon illuminante bianco panna, ben pigmentato e stesura omogenea
10 - MOTOWN MINK: un beige mat poco pigmentato, ma utile per sfumare
11 - O'JAYS: la star della palette! un rosa dorato super shimmer con una formula perfetta
12 - NEW JACK PINK: un brillante rosa barbie mat perfetto come blush e di ottima qualità

MUA Make Up Academy - Heaven and Earth palette EOTD - Eyes of the Day #6

ENG: another makeup review: I'll finish soon with them (because I don't own so many products), so I can do more EOTDs in the future. This time you'll see a palette of bronzes from a British brand called MakeUp Academy, aka MUA. It's a low cost brand that produces cosmetics with fluctuating quality, but still very good most of the times. You can buy from their official site.
Pros: first of all, the price: only £4.00 for 12 shades! Secondly, there are a few shades with amazing quality, my favorites are the numbers 2 (a shimmer medium bronze), 3 (a stunning brownish olive), 5 (a reddish dark brown that's a perfect formula), 6 (a creamy copper), and 11 (very close to number 2 but this is almost satin). 

Cons: most of the pots are chalky and the packaging is poor. More, a few eyeshadows are not so good, for example numbers 1 e 4 (two highlighters that last for just a blink) and 10 e 12 (too much chalky). The range of colors is not very diversified (there are too many similar shades to each other) and no mattes.
Conclusions: this a medium quality palette with ups and downs. In the end everything is balanced: pigmentation, powderness, longevity and shading. My final opinion is that this product has no particular strengths and no particular weaknesses, but the price is totally a great point that worths the purchase, so this palette is perfect for who loves warm browns and wants more of them spending little money.
ITA: ancora una recensione di makeup: non ne mancano ancora molte (perchè non ho tantissima roba) e ci tenevo a finirle prima possibile per dedicarmi di più agli EOTD. Questa volta tocca ad una palette di bronzi della MakeUp Academy, aka MUA, un brand inglese low cost di qualità variabile ma tendenzialmente buona. Potete comprare anche direttamente dal loro sito ufficiale.

Pro: prima di tutto, il prezzo: solo 4 sterline per 12 ombretti! Ci sono, poi, alcune cialde di grandiosa qualità, le mie preferite sono le numero 2 (un bronzo medio shimmer), 3 (uno stupendo oliva/marrone), 5 (un marrone scuro rossastro con una formula assolutamente perfetta), 6 (un cremosissimo rame), e 11 (molto simile al 2 ma questo è quasi satin).
Contro: principalmente una certa polverosità nella maggior parte delle cialde ed un packaging decisamente misero. Oltre a questo, alcuni ombretti non sono granchè, come i numeri 1 e 4 (due illuminanti che durano il tempo di uno sbatter di ciglia!) e il 10 e 12 (troppo polverosi). Per quanto riguarda la scelta dei colori, mancano totalmente i mat (e pazienza), e metà dei colori sono troppo simili tra loro (e questo non è bello).
Conclusioni: è una palette di media qualità che presenta alti e bassi. Alla fine pigmentazione, polverosità, durata e sfumabilità si bilanciano, con il risultato che la palette non ha particolari punti di forza nè particolari punti deboli. Il prezzo, comunque, la rende estremamente appetibile per chi ama i marroni caldi e ne desidera tante diverse tonalità per integrare i propri trucchi spendendo poco. Vale comunque l'acquisto!
