Boulevard de Beauté - Nude Eyes + Bright Eyes + Smokey Eyes palette @LIDL

Oggi un post solo in italiano per poterlo scrivere più velocemente e poter parlare un po' di più del solito, visto che si tratta di tre palette di ombretti in vendita in questi giorni al LIDL per €4 (3,99 mi rifiuto di scriverlo) l'una. Partiamo subito, che c'è tanto da dire, e, se vi piacciono le palette, correte perchè vanno davvero a ruba, e non lo dico tanto per dire!!!!

Le palette sono del brand Boulevard de la Beauté, si chiamano Bright Eyes, Nude Eyes e Smokey Eyes, ed ognuna contiene 6 ombretti con cialde rotonde di 15/16 mm.
Caratteristica distintiva è sicuramente lo splendido packaging cartonato in stile pinup anni '50, splendido, infatti vorrei finire presto questa recensione per poter poi togliere il cartone interno, mettere le cialde nelle mie palette custom, e usare poi le scatole come portagioie, visto che tenerle in bagno a prendere umidità e impolverarsi e macchiarsi di ombretti e fondotinta non voglio, le voglio usare! Quindi sbrighiamoci! XD

Qualche nota generale delle palette, prima di analizzarle una ad una:

- contengono siliconi e parabeni

- le cialde mat sono poco scriventi

- c'è una predominanza netta di colori freddi

- in ogni palette ci sono due illuminanti, uno bianco e uno leggermente colorato, di ottima qualità entrambi ma sicuramente molto simili tra loro sia nel colore che nel finish frost/metal, inoltre tutte queste cialde "quasi bianche" hanno dei microglitter non visibili su cialda, ma decisamente sì sugli occhi! ;)

BOULEVARD DE BEAUTE' - BRIGHT EYES

La prima palette di ombretti di cui vi parlo è la "bright", anche se, a dirla tutta, più che bright questa palette si dovrebbe chiamare sweet, essendo caratterizzata da una predominanza di rosa e colori neutri piuttosto chiari e caramellosi. Trovo questa combinazione di cialde particolarmente adatta ad un trucco da giorno clear & shine, o per un trucco serale in abbinamento ad un rossetto intenso, magari un bel magentone.

Breve carrellata delle 6 cialde:
- Porcelain è un rosa baby dal finish frost con shimmer argentato, un pochino polveroso nel prelevarlo ma setoso al tatto e nell'applicazione; anche un illuminante, volendo. In foto sembra quasi bianco ma dal vero la sua punta di rosa è evidente.

- Pink Lotus è un rosa intenso freddo con un effetto quasi metallico, una formulazione cremosa, ed è piuttosto scrivente, da usare con cautela se si vuole un makeup naturale. 

- Bronze Goddess fatico a definirlo come colore, direi un bronzo rosée, forse... Il finish è uno shimmer ma la coprenza è un po' sheer: adatto a sfumare quindi, e utilizzabile anche per il contouring, in caso di necessità...

- Touch of Gold è un beige/burro completamente mat, ma non risulta molto scrivente, va usato assolutamente sopra al primer, e anche così fa fatica a vedersi...

- Cotton Candy è un rosa chewing gum! Il finish è una via di mezzo tra frost e metal, un po' gessoso come formula ma fa il suo lavoro, dai!

- Grey Pearl è un grigio chiarissimo quasi bianco, luminosissimo. Su di me i frost di solito segnano tantissimo le rughettine, mentre questo è molto soffice sia al tatto che nell'applicazione, direi il mio preferito di questa palette, insieme al primo.

BOULEVARD DE BEAUTE' - NUDE EYES

Andiamo con la seconda palette, la nude, caratterizzata da colori naturali a tinte prevalentemente fredde, una scelta molto raffinata. Una pecca di questa palette, però, è che due coppie di cialde su tre si somigliano molto, quindi non permettono di realizzare una grande varietà di combinazioni, ma possono essere un buon complemento ad altri ombretti che già possedete.

Vediamo nel dettaglio i 6 ombretti:
- Pearlescent Nude è un illuminante beige dalla tinta freddissima, con appena una puntina di marrone. Formula discreta, scrive bene anche senza primer, molto morbido al tatto e dall'applicazione omogenea e modulabile.

- Powder è un ocra aranciato mat che praticamente scompare del tutto sulla mia pelle, avendo esattamente la mia stessa tinta attuale. Non è molto scrivente, ma mi sembra un leit motiv in queste palette per le cialde opache... Direi quindi che il suo utilizzo più adeguato sia quello di unificare l'incarnato prima di applicare gli ombretti più colorati, sopra il primer però, sennò chi lo vede...

- Sheer Rose è un rosa pastello molto chiaro, sembra bianco sotto luce intensa. Ha un finish frost ed è un po' polveroso, attenzione al fallout durante l'applicazione.

- Cappuccino è un taupe chiarissimo metal/frost molto scrivente e molto compatto nella stesura, bellissimo usato bagnato.

- Dusk è un marrone freddo scuro leggermente sheer, perfetto per le sopracciglia delle castane, secondo me, ma anche ottimo per sfumare uno smokey.

- Taupe è un taupe (ma va!??!) di tonalità media, ha una formula molto simile a cappuccino, e sotto a luci molto calde è quasi un po' malva, molto bello!

BOULEVARD DE BEAUTE' - SMOKEY EYES

Siamo arrivati all'ultima palette del trio, quella dedicata al trucco smokey, e ha delle tinte che mi piacciono molto perchè, anche se apparentemente non sembrano azzeccarci granchè, hanno quella puntina di colore che svia dal solito bianco/grigio/nero o panna/beige/marrone. Un po' grave l'assenza di un colore molto scuro e molto scrivente per dare profondità allo sguardo... Io non mi lamento perchè ho già i miei neri (o comunque scurissimi) di fiducia, però in una palette smokey magari una se lo aspetta... :P

Ecco le 6 cialde una per una:

- White Sparkle è un bianco glaciale dal finish frost un po' gessoso quando si preleva dalla cialda, ma aderisce bene alla pelle durante l'applicazione senza fallout fastidioso. Decisamente un illuminante d'effetto.

- Silver Slate è probabilmente il mio ombretto preferito tra tutti e 18 i colori delle 3 palette: è un atracite scuro con una punta di blu, per un risultato canna di fucile bellissimo. Ha una buona scrivenza ed un'ottima sfumabilità, bellissimo bagnato, anche come eyeliner. Un vero passepartout.

- Black Pearl è un nero leggermente satinato molto sheer. Non molto utile come base dello smokey, quindi, ma più adatto a sfumare gli altri colori. Personalmente lo userò per le sopracciglia, per esempio.

- Purple Haze è un lilla scuro molto tendente al blu polvere (in inglese direi che è un greyish blurple), un mat leggermente satinato poco scrivente (come tutte le cialde di questo finish in queste palette), ma magari a chi vuole un po' di colore con discrezione le va bene :P

- Midnight Sea è un melanzana molto grigiato, satinato e un po' sheer, molto bello perchè indefinibile sotto diverse luci.

- Mary Rose, infine, è un rosa carne pastello chiarissimo frost dalla formula quasi cremosa.

Conclusioni? Personalmente le trovo meravigliose per il packaging e non più che carine come prodotto di makeup, tenetene conto se avete intenzione di acquistarle e possedete pochi ombretti... 

Ultimamente (e per ultimamente intendo negli ultimi SEI MESI) io non sto acquistando quasi niente, mi sono giusto regalata queste tre palette e qualche smalto ad un blog sale come autoregalo di compleanno, più un paio di mini acquisti da tipo 3/4 euro su siti cinesi, e 4 cialde Neve al cialda party estivo... 

Come mai in questo clima di ristrettezze ho scelto di spendere 12 euro proprio per queste, nonostante non siano eccelse? Principalmente per la confezione, che riciclerò e utilizzerò per metterci altre cose, e comunque salverò sicuramente circa 2/3 delle cialde. Anche un ombretto carente in alcuni aspetti può essere utile, se utilizzato per uno scopo specifico, per esempio le cialde scure poco scriventi mi servono per le sopracciglia (ho giusto appena finito la matita KIKO) e le chiare come illuminanti viso!

Urban Decay - Naked Basics palette

ENG: I received this mini palette in a swap with Alice from the Stregalice blog, and it's a lot of time since I started to think to do a post about it, but I felt unconfident in writing something in-depth and with some sense, so I really hope everything is gonna be alright! ;P

ITA: è da tanto che volevo fare una recensione su questa mini palette, che ho ricevuto tramite uno swap con Alice del blog Stregalice, ma non mi sentivo mai all'altezza di poterci scrivere qualcosa di davvero approfondito e sensato, ma è ora di fare il salto, incrocio l'incrociabile e vado! ;P

ENG: this is a very mini palette, dimensions are only 5,5 cm x 10,5 xm x 1,2 cm. At the opposite, the quantity of product is not mini, since each eyeshadow is 1,3 gr for a total amount of 7,8 gr. So this is a very portable palette, but not disposable for sure.
- PACKAGING: I love it: it's compact; lid closes well with no anti hygienic air or dust or liquid infiltrations; made with skidproof rubbery plastic that get dirty not so easily as I was afraid of; and has a mirror as big as the lid. Just a big lack: I think a brush slot was needful for a pocket-size item like this.
- COLOURS: I read some bad critics about the range of colours, because there aren't warm shades and there are only two dark ones, but, from my point of view, this is a very good thing, not a bad one. Predominance of cold nuances allows to you to realize actual nude makeups for any skin-types more than warm colors, plus you can use the palette as a multi purpose item: as base, or to complete a colored makeup, or for blending more peculiar colours, since cold shades fit better than warms to different colours. About majority of light shades I guess that a dark brown and a black are more than enough: with these two ones you can give deepness to the edges, or as eyeliner, or for smokey eyes, or to blend other colours... I think it's better having more light pots than dark, since they always end as first...
1 - Venus is a white highlighter with a hint of champagne, slightly frost, the only no matte shade in the palette
2 - Foky is a very light nude with a vanilla base
3 - W.O.S. is a very light nude with a rosey base
4 - Naked2 is a light taupe in a very cold shade, perfect for blending other colours
5 - Faint is a medium-dark cold brown useful to shade or for your eyebrows
6 - Crave is an actual black extremely black nothing but black :P
- QUALITY: eyeshadows are a bit' powdery when you get them with a brush, but this ain't gonna happen if you get them with your finger; on the other hand, they won't fall out in the application. They are all very pigmented, but texture is superfine only for dark shades, since light ones don't fill completely the skin folds, especially Foxy and W.O.S., that will be a bit' chalky if you don't moisturize properly your skin before. You can easily settle this issue using them wet. Duration is not so great without a base, but with a primer they will last all day long with no fading.
- CONCLUSIONS: in my humble opinion these eyeshadows aren't the best eyeshadows I've ever tried before about formulation, but, as I've written, pros and cons are well balanced and, in the end, I think they still are above the average. In the end I think they are more than ok!  ^__^/

ITA: questa è una palette molto mini nelle dimensioni, misura infatti solo 5,5 cm x 10,5 cm x 1,2 cm, ma la quantità di prodotto, al contrario, non è poi così irrisoria, avendo ogni cialda 1,3 gr di ombretto per un totale di ben 7,8 gr. Quindi tascabilissima, ma non certo usa-e-getta.
- PACKAGING: lo trovo adorabile: compatto; si chiude bene senza anti-igieniche infiltrazioni; fatto di plastica gommosa antiscivolo, ma non si sporca così tanto come temevo; e specchietto grande quanto tutto il coperchio apribile. Unico grosso neo, lo spazio per un pennellino ce lo potevano anche lasciare: un prodotto tascabile deve dare la possibilità di utilizzarlo ovunque senza aggiungere altro in borsa, come minimo.
- COLORI: sul range di colori ho letto critiche relative al fatto che sia una palette che risente dell'assenza di tinte calde e con solo due tonalità scure, ma, dal mio punto di vista, non lo vedo affatto come un problema, al contrario. La prevalenza di tinte fredde, innanzitutto, permette un trucco veramente nude su più fototipi, cosa non del tutto possibile altrimenti, inoltre dà la possibilità di usare la palette sia come base per trucchi elaborati, sia come complemento a makeup colorati per sfumare le nuances più vivaci, potendoli abbinare a colori molto diversi più facilmente di quanto riescano a fare le tinte calde. Per quanto riguarda, invece, la netta maggioranza di tonalità chiare, penso che un marrone scuro e un nero siano più che sufficienti per dare profondità ritoccando il contorno occhi o come eyeliner; realizzare trucchi smokey e sfumare gli altri colori... Penso sia molto più importante avere tante tinte chiare che scure, del resto sono sempre le prime a finire, diciamoci la verità...
1 - Venus è un illuminante bianco con riflessi champagne, leggermente frost, l'unico non mat della palette
2 - Foky è un nude chiarissimo a base color vaniglia
3 - W.O.S. è un nude chiarissimo a base rosata
4 - Naked2 è un taupe chiaro a base molto fredda adatto a sfumare
5 - Faint è un marrone freddo medio-scuro per ombreggiare o per le sopracciglia
6 - Crave è un nero nerissimo
- QUALITA': gli ombretti sono un po' polverosi se prelevati dalla cialda con il pennello, cosa che non succede se ci pucciate il dito, ma non producono fall-out durante l'applicazione, in compenso. Sono tutti molto pigmentati, ma la texture è finissima solo per le tinte scure, mentre i più chiari, soprattutto Foxy e W.O.S., non riempiono totalmente le pieghette della pelle da asciutti, risultando lievemente gessosi se la pelle non viene prima idratata adeguatamente; si può rimediare usandoli bagnati. Non ho riscontrato una durata eccellente senza primer, ma con una base occhi durano tutto il giorno senza il minimo cedimento.
- CONCLUSIONI: a mio modestissimo parere non sono i migliori ombretti provati in vita mia ma, come scritto sopra, hanno pro e contro che si bilanciano, risultando alla fine un prodotto ben aldisopra della media. Quindi per me, in conclusione, è un sì, ma che ve lo dico a fà? :P

Coastal Scents - Hot Pots in teal

COASTAL SCENTS - HOT POTS TEAL

TROPIC GREEN + VIBRANT BLUE GREEN + PERSIAN GREEN + TEAL GREEN (ex CM11)

ENG: I purposely left as last my favorite colors: teals and their relatives! I've chosen two couples of combined shades: both couples have one shadow completely matte and one with a shimmer finish; the first couple is on the greenish side (quite close to spring green / jade), and the other one is on the bluish side (not so far from caribbean sea colors).
But it's time to talk about technical issues. Official site sorts two of these items as semi-opaque, but I think they are very pigmented, all of them, and duration on eyelids is above the average. Formula is amazing, it's a pleasure to touch the surface of the eyeshadows and also spread the product: matte pots are silky and very compact, shimmer ones are almost creamy, so all of them perfectly fill any skin pores and wrinkles. For this reason they are suitable as eyeliner, too. Last, but not least, they are also easily allocable in custom palettes, since their diameter is a standard 26 mm.
If I had to give a feedback to them, absolutely A+! è_é/

ITA: ho volutamente tenuto per ultimi i miei colori preferiti: gli ottani e/o suoi parenti alla lontana! I colori scelti consistono in due coppie composte in questo modo: in entrambe le coppie ci sono una cialda dal finish completamente matte ed una shimmer, però la prima coppia è più tendente al verde (verso il verde primavera / giada), mentre la seconda vira maggiormente sul blu (verso il blu / verde caraibico).
Solita parentesi tecnica: nonostante il sito ufficiale definisca due di queste cialde come semi-coprenti, io le trovo tutte scriventissime; la durata è per tutte ben sopra la media; la consistenza della formulazione è un piacere sia al tatto che nella stesura del prodotto, in particolare sono setose e compatte le cialde mat, e quasi cremose le shimmer, andando a riempire perfettamente ogni poro o rughetta della pelle, per questo motivo fungono anche egregiamente da eyeliner; infine, come sempre, si possono adattare facilmente alla maggior parte delle palette personalizzabili, avendo un diametro standard di 26 mm.
Se devo dar loro un voto, 10 e lode senza pensarci su mezza volta! è_é/

COASTAL SCENTS - HOT POTS PINK / PURPLE

PERSIAN PINK (ex B11) + NEON BRIGHT PINK (ex CM06) LAVENDER LACE + PURPLE PANIC + DEEP GRAPE (ex CM07)

ENG: the time that I feared so much has come: the week with pinks and purples!!! I need for just a moment. Or maybe two. Ok, I'm ready (perhaps) (just a minute more, please) (here I am) (yes, I can) (no, not at all, I lied) (I can't even drink a lot since I'm a teetotal) (shall I start?) (Jessica, you're a coward). Gh.
I guess it's quite needless to say I won't ever never wear a total pink or total purple makeup, there's still a bit of consciousness and dignity and coherence inside of me (over there, where there's just a lot of dust), but I didn't own something like these shades (surprise! XD), so I tried colors that I could use (under drugs?) mixed with black or other colors that are able to defuse all that... Well.. Pink. XD
But it's time to talk about the technical issues: finish is rigorously matte except the lavender, that's satin; pigmentation is crazy for the bright pink and the darkest purple, other shades are more delicate (have pity for me?); duration on eyelids is surprisingly good even for lightest pots, that's a thing quite rare to me, but deep grape is so long lasting that's almost like henné (if you are going to try to survive to a crazy weekend with 36 hours of no sleep, then this eyeshadow is your ace in the hole for sure!); they are very silky on their surface, but slightly chalky when you get the powder from the pot, so pay attention to fall out; last, but not least, they are also easily allocable in custom palettes, since their diameter is a standard 26 mm.
So... If you are not scared by pinks like me, consider them, and, if you are not, consider them anyway!!!

ITA: questa settimana tocca ai colori del male: i rosa e i viola!!! Faccio un esorcismo veloce e torno. Ok, sono pronta (forse) (ancora un minutino) (ecco) (ce la posso fare) (dai che ce la faccio) (sono astemia, non posso neanche ubriacarmi) (e andiamo!) (ma anche no). Gh.
Inutile dire che io non mi truccherei mai e poi mai l'intera palpebra di solo rosa o solo viola, ho ancora un briciolo di coscienza, dignità e coerenza dentro di me (laggiù in fondo, dove c'è solo polvere), ma vale il solito discorso: non avendo niente del genere (ma vààà?!? XD), ho spulciato per cercare qualcosa di indossabile anche da me (sotto farmaci pesanti?), ovviamente in abbinamento al nero o ad altri colori che li sdrammatizzino, risultando meno... Beh... Rosa. XD
Solita parentesi tecnica in aggiunta alla foto: tra le cinque cialde solo il lavanda ha un finish satinato, gli altri sono tutti rigorosamente matte; la coprenza è pazzesca per il rosa intenso e il viola più scuro, mentre gli altri sono più delicati (hanno un briciolo di pietà per me?); la durata sulle palpebre è sorprendentemente buona anche per le tinte chiare, cosa che su di me è assai rara di solito, in particolare il deep grape è quasi un henné in quanto a resistenza sulla pelle (perfetto per uno smokey, se meditate di fare un weekend distruttivo senza dormire per 36 ore!); sono tutti setosissimi al tatto, ma i matte risultano leggermente gessosi quando si prelevano con il pennello, quindi attenzione alla polvere svolazzante; infine si possono adattare facilmente alla maggior parte delle palette personalizzabili, avendo un diametro standard di 26 mm.
Insomma, se non avete conati da rosa come me, fateci un pensiero, e, se ce li avete, fatecelo lo stesso!!!

Coastal Scents - Hot Pots in green

COASTAL SCENTS - HOT POTS GREENS

FLUORESCENT + VIBRANT GREEN + PREHISTORIC GREEN + SASSY GRASS

ENG: the main character of this week is the green colour: Fluorescent and Vibrant Green are quite acid, the first one is slightly satin and the second one is totally mat; Prehistoric Green is a forest green with matte finish; and Sassy Grass is a lovely and very intense spring green with a strong satin finish almost shimmer. I'm not used to use this kind of colour alone, but I totally agree to mix them with neutral shades, in this way I can obtain that kind of peculiar effect that's still not excessive.
About the formulation: coverage is average, except for the Sassy Grass which is so pigmented that's almost creamy, but I can't say if the reason is my skintone or whatever... On the other hand the texture is very silky and not powdery or chalky at all; the 3 darkest shades are extremely long lasting, more they can be easily allocated in custom palettes, since the diameter is the standard 26 mm.

ITA: questa settimana tocca ai verdi: Fluorescent e Vibrant Green sono tinte piuttosto acide, nel primo caso la cosa si accentua ancora di più per la lieve satinatura, mentre il secondo è matte; Prehistoric Green è un verde fUresHta mat; mentre Sassy Grass è un intensissimo verde primavera con una satinatura decisa, quasi shimmer. Non sono colori che solitamente uso da soli, ma combinati a colori più neutri sì, perchè danno quel punto di colore originale ma non eccessivo che mi piace molto.
Per quanto riguarda la formulazione, questa volta c'è da dire qualcosa di più del solito "tutto ok": a parte il Sassy Grass, che è talmente pigmentato da essere quasi cremoso, gli altri hanno una coprenza media, non so se a causa della mia pelle, che è già verdognola di suo, o chi-lo-sa... La texture di tutti, in compenso, è molto setosa e per niente polverosa nè gessosa, e le 3 tinte più scure durano tantissimo; inoltre si possono adattare facilmente alla maggior parte delle palette personalizzabili, avendo un diametro standard di 26 mm.

COASTAL SCENTS - HOT POTS BLUES

REEF BLUE + VIBRANT BLUE + ELECTRIC BLUE (ex CM10) + INDIGO (ex CM09)

ENG: this week the post is dedicated to cool colors that go from sky blue to dark blue, just in bright and intense shades. I don't use very often this kind of nuances, because I'm not a fan of blue makeup, not at all. By the way, I've chosen them because I absolutely didn't have something like these in my beauty case, and I'd like to use them as gradients, at least. :)
I don't need to talk very much about them, again: name of pots describes perfectly the color that they are referring to; quality is crazy both in pigmentation and duration (just the lightest shade is a bit' chalky when you get the product with a brush); more they have a standard diameter, 26 mm, so you can easily apply them into customizable palettes (like MAC refills, for example).

ITA: questa settimana tocca ai colori freddi che vanno dal celeste al blu, tutti in tonalità molto accese ed intense. Non sono colori che uso spesso, anzi, quasi mai (il trucco occhi blu, nella mia testa, corrisponde a quello mani rosa = *blorgh*), ma lo scopo di questo ordine era proprio di recuperare quelle tinte che mancavano nelle mie palette e che difficilmente avrei acquistato per conto mio, tinte che però fa sempre comodo avere nel beauty case, magari per usarle come gradienti. :)
Anche questa volta non c'è bisogno di dire granchè su questi ombretti: il nome di ogni cialda descrive perfettamente la tinta corrispondente; la qualità è pazzesca sia in scrivenza che durata (al massimo il più chiaro è un po' gessoso quando si preleva con il pennello); e si possono adattare facilmente alla maggior parte delle palette personalizzabili, avendo un diametro standard di 26 mm.

COASTAL SCENTS - HOT POTS YELLOW / ORANGE / RED

BRIGHT YELLOW (ex CM02) + LIGHT TANGERINE (ex CM03) VENETIAN RED (ex B09) + VIBRANT RED + MAROON BERRY (ex M25)

ENG: this week the post is dedicated to shade that go from yellow to orange, to three different shades of reds. I don't need to talk very much about them: name of products describes perfectly the color that they are referring to (thank you CS, you save me a big effort XD); quality is crazy both in pigmentation and duration (I could be pedantic and admit that they are a bit' chalky when you get the product with a brush, but it's absolutely a no needful pedantry!); more they have a standard diameter, 26 mm, so you can easily apply them into customizable palettes (like MAC refills, for example). They are gorgeous eyeshadows, really. I didn't think they were _so much_ gorgeous, but they are!

ITA: questa settimana tocca ai caldissimi colori che vanno dal giallo all'arancio, fino a tre diverse tonalità di rosso. Non c'è bisogno di dire granchè su questi ombretti: il nome di ogni prodotto descrive perfettamente la tinta della cialda corrispondente (e mi risparmiano una bella fatica XD); la qualità è pazzesca sia in scrivenza che durata (se proprio vogliamo essere pignoli posso dire che sono un po' gessosi quando si prelevano con il pennello, ma bisogna proprio essere pignoli, eh!); e in più si possono adattare facilmente alla maggior parte delle palette personalizzabili, avendo un diametro standard di 26 mm (come i refill MAC, per esempio). Sono ombretti splendidi, davvero splendidi. Non me l'aspettavo fossero _così tanto_ splendidi, ma lo sono!

ENG: last, but not least, I've done an EOTD with all the 5 hot pots in this post plus some black to get more deepness. Of course, the makeup is the same as always, I just change the colors. :P
ITA: ultimo, ma non ultimo, vi posto anche un EOTD (come sempre, uguale a tutti quelli che faccio, di cui cambio solo i colori ;P) realizzato con tutte e 5 queste cialde più del nero per dare profondità. :)

DISCONTINUED DAY #4 Kiko from Colours in The World LE

ENG: for this Discontinued Day I decided to post two makeup products that I bought on sale at Kiko. They are both from the 2013 Spring collection, the one called Colours in the World. If you are lucky you can still find them at some Kiko stores, and I wish you are! ;D

ITA: questo mese, per il Discontinued Day, mi dedicherò a due prodotti di makeup della Kiko dall'edizione limitata Colours in the World della primavera 2013, entrambi presi in super saldo. Forse, se avete un po' di sano culo, potreste ancora trovarli in qualche negozio Kiko sui banconi delle offerte, e ve lo auguro! ;D

LONG LASTING LIPSTICK - 05 RED ORCHID

ENG: I've chosen this lipstick because I love dark colors on my lips; anyway it turned out that it's just a medium shade, but it's probably my fault, since my lips are quite pigmented by themselves. By the way, this lipstick has many qualities: it's extremely opaque, really loooong lasting, and it's very comfortable on lips: you can apply it generously, and still don't feel it! For this reason I often use it as base for lipglosses with various effects but not so pigmented. The finish is totally mat, but it doesn't dry my lips: I don't know if I'm lucky or it's in this way for everyone, but... It is so. :P I think this lipstick has just one small flaw, that's I can't draw perfectly the edges without a lip pencil, but I always use a lip pencil, so this isn't a problem at all to me. I was forgetting to talk about the color, but I can't describe it, so take a look to the pic below by yourself (I'm totally useless, I know it... XD)! In the end, I'm really happy for this purchase, really really happy! If you still find it on sale, do a favor to yourself and catch it! ;D

ITA: ho preso questo rossetto perchè amo i colori scuri sulle labbra anche se, alla fine, è invece risultato di una tonalità media, ma è probabilmente causa mia, visto che ho le labbra piuttosto pigmentate. Le doti di questo lipstick, però, sono molte: è estremamente coprente, è veramente loooong lasting, ed è anche molto confortevole sulle labbra: una volta steso, anche generosamente, non lo si sente nemmeno! Per questo motivo lo uso spessissimo come base per gloss ad effetti vari, ma non molto scriventi. Per quanto riguarda il finish è un rossetto totalmente mat, ma non secca le labbra, o almeno su di me non succede. L'unico difettuccio che ha è che non riesco ad applicarlo precisamente sui bordi, e necessita di matita labbra per disegnare il contorno, ma io la matita la metto a prescindere, quindi per me non è per niente problema. Dimenticavo il colore, ma non saprei descriverlo, quindi guardate la foto qui sopra e arrangiatevi (sono inutile, lo so... XD)! In definitiva devo dire che è stato un ottimo acquisto, davvero ottimo! Se lo trovate ancora, nei banchi dei saldi, fatevi un favore e consideratene l'adozione! ;D

COLOUR PARTY PALETTE WET & DRY - 01 PEACH LAKE

ENG:  I must to confess: MAYBE I didn't need of this palette, but... This palette is one of those palettes that's like a multi purposes passe-partout: with a bit' of adaptability you can use a shadow as highilighter, two as blushes and one to define your eyebrows, too. Packaging is adorable, mirrored inside and outside. Quantity of product is a lot. Pigmentation is excellent, unlike most of other palettes from this collection (the other one I think it's great quality is the number 02 - Generous Earth, reviewed from my cousin here). Duration on eyelids is not bad, especially about dark shades. Formulation is very good from my point of view: light shades could be chalky if you get them with a stiff bristles brush, but all of them are no powdery at all in case you're in a hurry and use your fingers to apply eyeshadows. Finish is mainly mat, except the first shadow, that's a few glitter inside of it (but they totally disappear on eyelids) and the fourth one that's shimmer. What else? Range of colors is not so peculiar, but all eyeshadows match very well to each other: they are able to create both day and night makeups, more they fit with most of skintones.
In the end I think that this palette is quite complete, and it's handy to take with yourself. I guess it's also ideal to people who wants not so many products, but they have to be quality and versatile, without imposing usual browns. I paid it on sale only €6, more or less, and it worths this price a lot! ;D

ENG: box + inside + packaging / ITA: scatola + cialde + packaging

ITA: lo confesso: FORSE non ne avevo bisogno, ma ho la brutta abitudine di andare da Kiko quando sono di umore nero e ne esco invece con un sorrisone da pervertita. Non succede spesso, per fortuna.
Ad ogni modo questa palette è una di quelle passe-partout utiliZZime con cui, con un po' di elasticità (quella mentale, intendo), ci si può truccare anche tutta la faccia, utilizzando due cialde anche come blush, una come highlighter, e una per definire le sopracciglia. Inoltre il packaging è adorabile e, anche se ama conservare le ditate per ricordo, è tutta uno specchio, dentro e fuori. La quantità di prodotto è notevole. La pigmentazione è pazzesca, a differenza della maggior parte delle altre palette di questa collezione (si salva la numero 02 - Generous Earth, che mia cugina ha recensito qui), e la loro durata su palpebre non è niente male, soprattutto delle tinte scure. Anche la formulazione è molto buona: nessuna cialda è polverosa, al massimo i colori chiari possono essere un po' gessosi se si prelevano con pennelli a setole un po' rigide; se invece siete di corsa e utilizzate le dita, non avrete alcun problema di sorta. Il finish prevalente è il mat, fanno eccezione solo la quarta cialda, che è shimmer, e la prima, che contiene qualche microglitter sparso, ma non si notano una volta applicato l'ombretto. Che dire ancora? Che il range di colori non sarà originalissimo, ma gli ombretti si sposano benissimo l'uno con l'altro, e ci si ppossono creare trucchi sia da giorno che da sera, e che credo stiano bene sulla maggior parte dei sottotoni di pelle.
In conclusione per me questa palette, per completezza e comodità, è l'ideale da portarsi in viaggio per risparmiare spazio o per chi vuole pochi trucchi, di qualità e versatili, ma senza cadere nei classici marroncini. Poi, per quanto l'ho pagata io, ovvero 6 euro e spiccioli, ma ben venga! ;D

E.L.F. - Eye Enhancing Eyeshadow - Brown Eyes 1

ENG: the E.L.F. Studio line has a new collection called Eye Enhancing, that's 6 palettes with 6 colors each. This one is the Brown Eyes 1 - item code #85136.

DIMENSIONS: cm 10,8 x  6,3 x 1,0.

QUANTITY: 1.2 gr for each eyeshadow, 7.2 gr for all of them.

PRICE: €10 in Italy, $6 in US (I bought it there thanks to an American friend).

PACKAGING: compact, sleek and great quality. I appreciate a lot the ELF Studio items style, especially palettes, because they are simple but with rounded classy shapes. Materials are resistant and don't attract dust and dirt as the NARS one does (ELF Studio is obviously "inspired" by this famous brand); there's also a useful mirror inside; and the opening doesn't break your nails! Just one grumble: the sponge applicator... Why? ELF was used to add a good quality brush in Studio palettes. Sigh.

PIGMENTATION: good on bare skin, better over a primer, shades are semi-opaque but pigmented 

TEXTURE: really good, the higlighter is a bit chalky, but the rest is not powdery at all

DURATION: there's a big gap between light colors and the very long lasting medium and dark shades

COLORS: as you can see, this is a basic palette almost all with browns. The range of color is not original, but very good if you are searching for a basic passepartout with nice shades that match well to each other:

1 - rosey champagne with a slight shimmer, not very pigmented and not durable, btw it's pretty

2 - medium hazel shade with a hint of red, it's matte almost satin, very pigmented and with a good duration

3 - matte cool dark brown extremely pigmented, a deep color that's also long lasting, amazing!

4 - matte whitecream, average pigmentation but a bit chalky and not durable, primer necessarily

5 - this is a color very hard to define, I guess it's a medium/dark antique gold with a hint of olive green, super pigmented and silky, my favorite with the dark brown and the most peculiar shade in the palette 

6 - matte dark blue with a great duration on eyelids, writes a lot but you need to blend it asap

CONCLUSIONS: I know this a very basic and simple palette, and if you already own a lot of eyeshadows, then these ones won't be necessary... I bought it to customize it with lipsticks and I didn't have great expectations, but I'm surprised of it, at last, despite the light shades. It's an ordinary range of color, but I still like it, so I'll use it for a bit of time before customize it. This palette is a bit expensive in Italy/Europe, from my point of view, but I'd advice it for a 30% off, 7 euros it's a good price for it, I think! ^_^

PACKAGING: compatto, elegante e di grande qualità. Adoro lo stile della ELF Studio, e in particolare quello delle palette, che hanno linee semplici ma bombate, molto raffinate. Il materiale è resistente e non acchiappa-schifezze come quello della NARS (a cui la ELF, chiaramente, si "ispira"); specchietto all'interno; e l'apertura non spezza le unghie! Unica pecca, l'applicatore a spugnetta: la ELF ha sempre messo nei cosmetici della linea Studio pennellini a setole sintetiche di ottima qualità, perchè stavolta no? Sigh.
PIGMENTAZIONE: buona su pelle nuda, ma meglio usare un primer, sono semi-coprenti ma pigmentati
TEXTURE: molto buona, a parte l'illuminante un po' gessoso, le altre cialde sono ottime in questo senso
DURATA: altalenante, perchè scarsina per i colori chiari e ottima per i medi e scuri
COLORI: è una palette, come vedete, prevalentemente di marroni, quindi di certo non è un range di colori originale, ma, se cercate un passepartout basico, sono comunque graziosi e si combinano bene tra loro:
1 - champagne rosato chiaro con lieve shimmer, non molto pigmentato nè durevole, comunque carino
2 - nocciola medio con una punta di rosso, è matte ma quasi satin, molto scrivente e di buona durata
3 - marrone freddo scuro mat estremamente pigmentato, un colore profondo e anche durevolissimo, ottimo!
4 - bianco panna mat, media scrivenza e un po' gessoso, neanche molto durevole, necessario primer
5 - colore difficile da definire, credo sia un oro antico medio/scuro con una punta di verde oliva, super pigmentato e setoso, la mia cialda preferita insieme al marrone scuro, è anche la più particolare della palette
6 - un blu scuro matte con una durata eccellente su palpebra, scrive benissimo ma va sfumato in fretta

CONCLUSIONI: so che sembra una palette banalotta, ed in effetti, per chi ha già molti ombretti, lo sarà sicuramente... L'avevo presa solo per poi customizzarla con rossetti e non le davo una lira, invece alla fine mi ha molto sorpresa (ad esclusione delle due tinte chiare) e, pur nella sua ordinarietà, mi piace molto, quindi me la godrò un po' prima di svuotarla e riempirla con i rossetti, com'era in programma. Comunque trovo che il prezzo italiano/europeo sia un po' eccessivo: 10 euro è tantino, ma a 7 euro di valore con il 30% di sconto la consiglierei, sempre se, ovviamente, non avete già marroncini e pacchi! ^_^

5 - auburn orange satin with some gold and copper glitters, super pigmented and durable, gorgeous shadow
6 - light rust/brick shade, awesome quality, especially duration is amazing, my favorite of the palette

CONCLUSIONS: I really liked this palette and I think I'll use it for a while before customizing it with lipsticks. Anyway, in my humble opinion the palette is still a medium quality item with a too high price: in Italy/Europe this palette costs 10 euros! With a sale off (40/50%, at least) I guess it worths the price for sure and I surely advice it, because it's a very pretty item, but 10 euros... Not at all...

DURATA: altalenante: bassina per le due tinte chiare, ottima per blu e mattone, media per le altre
COLORI: non sono originalissimi, ma comunque graziosi e si abbinano bene tra di loro:
1 - blu scurissimo a base matte con qualche glitter blu elettrico, molto durevole sulle palpebre
2 - azzurro polvere satin, una tinta molto raffinata e ben pigmentata
3 - grigio chiaro matte, fatico a dirvene la qualità perchè sulla mia carnagione i grigi scompaiono
4 - illuminante panna satin di pigmentazione media ma un pochino polveroso, comunque decente
5 - arancio ramato satin con qualche glitter oro e rame, pigmentatissimo e durevole, una vera chicca
6 - ruggine chiaro di altissima qualità, soprattutto la durata è pazzesca, il mio preferito della palette

CONCLUSIONI: mi è piaciuta molto, devo dire, tanto che me la godrò un po' prima di svuotarla e customizzarla con i rossetti, come da programma. A mio parere, però, siamo comunque su una qualità media che non giustifica assolutamente il prezzo italiano, che è di ben 10 euro! Coi saldi al 40/50% ci sta: 5/6 euro è un prezzo onestissimo per questa palette e la consiglio, ma 10 proprio no...

SWAP WITH JULIA - PART 3

ENG: my second package from Julia is here, finally! inside the package there were a lot of things, but not all of them were for me. Items for me are: palettes below from E.L.F., a brush set from EcoTools and around twenty hot pots from Coastal Scents, but today I'm going to show you just E.L.F. items. ^_^

ITA: finalmente è arrivato il secondo pacchetto da Julia! Dentro c'erano molte cose, ma non tutte erano per me: tra quelle destinate alla sottoscritta, ci sono queste palettine della E.L.F., un set di pennelli EcoTools e una ventina di cialde di ombretti Coastal Scents, ma queste ultime cose ve le mostrerò più avanti. ^_^

E.L.F. - EYE ENHANCING EYESHADOW

BROWN EYES 1 + BLUE EYES 2

ENG: actually I bought these palettes because I needed something to customize for my lipsticks and these ones are gorgeous and high quality. Anyway, I didn't want to spend 10 euros each, aka the European price, so I decided to take advantage of my American friend, since in US these palettes cost 6 dollars each, more there was a sale off, so I saved a lot of money! Before customization, I'll surely write a review for you: I've chosen these ones because they seem to be the best in pigmentation from the collection they are from.

ITA: in realtà ho preso queste palette per svuotarle e customizzarle con rossetti, perchè il loro packaging mi piace da morire ed è di grande qualità; mi scocciava però spenderci 10 euro per ognuna, ovvero il prezzo europeo. Negli Stati Uniti, invece, costano solo 6 dollari l'una, in più erano anche in offerta, quindi, tramite "l'intermediaria americana", ho risparmiato non poco! Prima di personalizzarle, però, farò comunque una recensione per voi: ho scelto le due che mi sembrava avessero la qualità migliore.

P2 - Eye Dream - 040 Midnight Star

ENG: ok, I'm going to do a copy/paste from the post of last week, because I'd say almost the same words as before! XD My friend Verena went to Germany the past April and gifted to me this baked eyeshadow from the brand P2. It's so beautiful that I suffer a bit when I dip the brush into the color, because I'm worried to "ruin" it, even usually I'm not that kind of person who is afraid about using (and abusing) her belongings. I'll let you to the pics, they speak by themselves: I may just add that the quality is also great as its beauty, and the formula has been done for the wet (painting) & dry (blending) use. The diameter of the pot is 36 mm, so it is also perfect for customizable palettes.

ITA: ok, farò copia/incolla dal post della scorsa settimana, visto che direi quasi le stesse identiche cose! XD Finalmente posto gli swatches di questo ombretto cotto della P2, presomi dalla mia amicicia Verena in Germania durante l'aprile scorso. E' talmente bello e curato che fa perfino un po' dolore intingerci il pennello rischiando di "rovinarlo", nonostante io non sia tipa da temere l'uso (e abuso) delle cose che possiedo. Ma vi lascio alle immagini, che parlano da sole: mi limito giusto ad aggiungere che, oltre alla bellezza, anche la qualità è ottima, e l'ombretto si presta ad essere usato sia bagnato per colorare le palpebre, che asciutto per sfumarle. Il diametro della cialda è di 36 mm, quindi ottimo anche per le palette personalizzabili.

DISCONTINUED DAY #3 Kiko - Water Eyeshadow 211 + EOTD #12

ENG: here we are with a new Discontinued Day! This time I'm going to show you an eyeshadow: I bought my fifth Kiko - Water Eyeshadow taking advantage of a promotion, but it was no longer in stores after those days. You can find the review of my other Water Eyeshadows here. I'm using them very often since then, and I confirm my first opinion about their great quality, especially the champagne and the golden rose ones.

ITA: eccoci qui con un nuovo appuntamento con il Discontinued Day! Questa volta vi mostrerò un ombretto: approfittando di una promozione, ho preso il mio quinto Kiko - Water Eyeshadow, che però è uscito di produzione dopo quell'offerta. Dopo qualche mese di utilizzo piuttosto intenso, li considero ancora eccezionali, tutti quanti, in particolare prediligo il color champagne e il rosa dorato.

KIKO - WATER EYESHADOW - 211 VERDE ACQUAMARINA

ENG: such a beauty! :°) The color is very hard to define, actually... Online I've seen pics very very different to each other, but, I promise that my pics look like exactly in the way I see it in real life. The color is a blue avio with just a hint of green, despite the name of this product. Quality is great and, as you can see in the pic below, pigmentation and intensity of color change a lot from dry to wet application: for this reason I use it wet to "paint" the eyelid and then I use it dry to blend.

ITA: bellezza del creato! :°) Il colore è abbastanza difficile da definire... Online ho visto foto diversissime tra loro, ma, nelle mie foto, prometto che è esattamente come io lo vedo, ovvero un blu avio con giusto una puntina di verde, ma proprio una puntina, a dispetto del nome che hanno dato a questo ombretto. La qualità è ottima ma, come potete vedere dagli swatches qui sotto, la pigmentazione e intensità del colore variano enormemente da asciutto a bagnato: io tendo ad usarlo bagnato per "colorare" e asciutto per sfumare.

EYES OF THE DAY #12

ENG: this time I put more effort than usual for this makeup and I tried a pseudo smokey eyes using the eyeshadow in the review, a black shadow to give deepness to the makeup, and not much more than it. :)
ITA: per una volta mi sono impegnata e ho provato a fare uno pseudo smokey eyes usando quasi interamente l'ombretto recensito, più del nero per dare profondità. Non molto di più. :)
