The Rainbow Ladies #5 - BLUE China Glaze - Sea Spray + Milani - Cyberspace + gradient

THE RAINBOW CHALLENGE BY THE RAINBOW LADIES!

ENG: it's passed the first half of this Rainbow Challenge, and this time the leading actor is BLUE, but I preferred to choose a more delicate sky blue. I made another gradient, but I must to take advantage by the fact that my nails don't breaking since a bit of time, so... A gradient again. Don't you think this manicure has some kind of sugary look? ITA: giro di boa per la Rainbow Challenge, siamo alla quinta data e il colore protagonista è il BLU, anche se io ho preferito scegliere un azzurro, e, continuando ad approfittarmi che le unghie non si stanno spezzando da un bel po', continuo a smerigliarvi i maroni con un'altra gradient che sembra quasi caramellosa. CHINA GLAZE - ANCHORS AWAY COLLECTION - SEA SPRAY

ENG: this is a dusty sky blue with a very slight shimmer (not visibile on nails, by the way) that I love a lot: one coater, flawless application, more than decent duration, a discreet color for all seasons... Great!
ITA: è un azzurro a base grigia con lievissimo shimmer (che, però, non si vede su unghie) che mi piace un sacco: basta una sola mano di colore, l'applicazione fila liscia, ha una durata più che decente, ed è un colore discreto per tutte le stagioni... Grandioso!

MILANI - HOLOGRAPHIC 3D COLLECTION - CYBERSPACE

ENG: I'm pretty sure this is one of the first nail polishes I bought from US, so many memories... :°) This is a holo and silver microglitter in a very delicate pastel sky blue shade. The holo reflection is not so obvious at the very first glance, but I think it's a sweet polish that pays back the lack.

ITA: se non ricordo male questo è uno dei primissimi smalti che ho acquistato dagli Stati Uniti, sniff, che nostalgia... :°) E' un olografico e argento microglitter in un tenue azzurrino pastello. I riflessi olografici, comunque, non sono evidentissimi, ma penso sia uno smalto delizioso che ripaga in pieno questa carenza.

The Rainbow Ladies #4 - GREEN Mi-Ny - Top5 Top Green

THE RAINBOW CHALLENGE BY THE RAINBOW LADIES!

ENG: fourth color for The Rainbow Challenge, this time is GREEN's turn! This post shows a top coat effect, a gift by my cousin Barbara from the blog Nail Polish Crazy. It's from an Italian brand called MI-NY: I'm discovering its products step by step and I'm more and more impressed by them! This manicure has a gradient effect that gets darker and darker from nail to nail. Love it! *_*

Vi posto un top coat effect regalatomi da mia cugina Barbara del blog Nail Polish Crazy del marchio italiano MI-NY, che sto scoprendo un po' alla volta e che mi sta lasciando sempre più soddisfatta! In questa manicure, unghia dopo unghia, la tonalità del colore del top-coat si scurisce gradualmente. *_*

MI-NY - TOP5 - TOP GREEN

ENG: first of all: what is this mysterious stuff? It's a top coat effect very liquid, extremely sheer and with just a hint of colour (my bottle is green but there are more, you can see all of them here), that you can use over other nail polishes (I've chosen a simple white creme) to give them a new look. You can layer it over and over to obtain darker and darker shades, until you think is enough.
Since the formula of this polish is peculiar, application needs several precautions: 1 - First layer of colour must be applied when the colour used as base is completely dry, but you can wait less time between successive layers, because liquid formula is very fast drying. 2 - Be generous with the amount of polish, but be gentle, because the brush is quite rigid. 3 -  Finally, a generous amount of glossy top coat.

I really enjoyed the work in progress of this manicure, really! There was some kind of zen feeling applying all the layers with patience and carefulness, and the final result is delicate, classy and sweet, I really love it.

ITA: prima di tutto: cos'è questa roba misteriosa? E' un top coat effect molto liquido, traslucido, e con solo un accenno di colore (il mio è verde, ma ne esistono anche altri, li trovate qui), che si applica sopra ad altri smalti (io ho scelto un normale bianco cremoso) dando loro un nuovo aspetto. Strato dopo strato otterrete tonalità sempre più scure, fino a quando lo riterrete sufficiente.
Vista la formulazione particolare di questo smalto, l'applicazione necessita di alcune dritte: 1 - la prima passata di colore deve essere fatta quando lo smalto usato come base è completamente asciutto; le mani successive, invece, possono essere fatte ad una distanza di tempo molto minore tra loro, perchè asciuga molto velocemente. 2 - siate generosi con l'ammontare di smalto, ma delicati, perchè il pennello è alquanto rigido. 3 - Per concludere, esagerate pure con il top coat lucido.

E' un po' laborioso, ma confesso che ho adorato tutto questo processo! C'è un che di zen nell'applicare le mani di colore con pazienza e cura, e il risultato finale è delicato, raffinato e dolce, mi piace  davvero molto!

SHAKA - WINTER PARTY GLITTERS - G3 SUN

ENG: an amazing jelly with silver glitters. It's a lemon yellow shade and it's sheer, of course, so it's better if you decide to applying more layers or using a ridge filler (or another nail polish) as base for a full coverage.

ITA: un fantastico jelly con glitter argento. E' un giallo limone ed è alquanto trasparente, ovviamente, quindi  è meglio applicarne più strati o usare un ridge filler (o altro smalto) come base per una coprenza decente.

SHAKA - WINTER PARTY GLITTERS - G4 NATURE

ENG: a lime green jelly base with silver glitters insider of it. Same technical details as the previous one. :)

ITA: un verde lime a base jelly con glitter argento. Stesse caratteristiche tecniche dello smalto precedente. :)

ENG: this one is maybe my favorite from this collection, because its variety of shades: there's a orange jelly base with multicolor glitters that go from silver to gold to orange. It's really a vitaminic polish!

ITA: è probabilmente il mio preferito in questa collezione, grazie alla varietà di sfumature che possiede: c'è una base jelly arancione con glitter multicolor argento, oro e arancio. E' davvero uno smalto vitaminico!

BASIC BEAUTY BY LIMONI - 119 ARANCIO GHIACCIOLO

ENG: in the beginning I bought this one because it seemed to me very close to OPI - Ginger Bells, a lemming of mine, and I'm pretty sure to have thought right. I was also very lucky, because this creme has an a-m-a-z-i-n-g formula: perfect coverage in one coat, perfect leveling in two coats, extremely longevous. A+

ITA: inizialmente ho preso questo smalto perchè mi sembrava molto simile all'OPI - Ginger Bells, che era nella mia wishlist, e sono piuttosto certa di averci visto giusto. Sono stata anche molto fortunata, perchè questo smalto cremoso ha una formula e-c-c-e-z-i-o-n-a-l-e: copertura perfetta in solo una mano di colore, livellamento perfetto in due mani (ma se mettete un buon top coat non serve), e durata eccellente. 10+

[b]basic - 15 + [b]basic - 16 + [b]basic - 11 + gradient

ENG: This is another of those nail arts I did this summer when my camera was broken, so the quality is not so good. First and fourth pics are better than the 2 ones in the middle, because I took advantage of my cousin's cellphone, that isn't as big as a British Red Box, like my phone... :P By the way, another sponge gradient that came pretty well, made with summery colors! You can find my previous mint/teal gradient here.

ITA: Questa è un'altra delle nail arts che ho fatto st'estate quando la mia fotocamera era distrutta. Lo è ancora, ma almeno adesso ne ho una in prestito in sostituzione. La prima e la quarta foto sono molto migliori delle due centrali perchè le ho fatte approfittando del cellulare di mia cugina, che non è una cabina telefonica dell'anteguerra come il mio... :P Un'altra sponge gradient che mi pare sia uscita piuttosto bene, fatta tutta con colori super estivi! ENG: For this nail art I've used 3 cremes from [b]basic, the brand of Schlecker drugstores. I know this chain of stores is changing its owners and they are deciding which products will remains and which ones are going to be eliminated from their stores. I'm crossing my fingers for [b]basic, because is the cheapest brand in my country for cosmetics but still quite good about quality. Mini polishes are amazing. Pray with me! >_<

ITA: Per questa nail art ho usato tre creme della [b]basic, la marca venduta nei negozi Schlecker. Ho saputo che la Schlecker sta cambiando proprietari e in questo periodo stanno decidendo quali prodotti tenere e quali altri eliminare dai loro punti vendita. Incrocio le dita per la [b]basic, perchè produce gli smalti più economici che si possano trovare qui in Italia e sono comunque di qualità più che buona.  >_<

● [B]BASIC - REF. 5502 15
ENG: a simple yellow creme, the classic EGG color! :D It's not so easy to apply, but this is not unusual for a yellow polish, however the final result is good, at last. Be generous with your top coat, just in case!
ITA: una crema giallo UUUuuovo!!! XD Non è tanto facile da stendere, come del resto un po' tutti i gialli, ma, "con due mani e un po' di mano" il risultato è buono, alla fine. Siate generose con il top coat, eventualmente!
● [B]BASIC - REF. 5502 16
ENG: a basic orange creme easier to apply than the previous polish, opaque in two coats and very bright.
ITA: una semplice crema arancio più comoda da applicare del suo amico qua sopra, coprente in due passate e di una tonalità molto brillante.
● [B]BASIC - REF. 5502 11
ENG: a true red that dries pretty fast and darker than it looks like in the bottle, especially if you do 3 coats instead of 2. Average coverage, average smoothness, average polish that I love with average affection! :D
ITA: un rosso-rosso che asciuga piuttosto in fretta e di un tono più scuro rispetto a come si vede in bottiglia, specialmente se preferite mettere tre mani piuttosto che soltanto due. Coprenza media, si uniforma mediamente (meglio aggiungere top coat glossy). Insomma, un buono smalto medio! :D

Kiko - 389 Lattementa + Kiko - 342 Verde Acqua + gradient

Sorry sorry sorry for the low quality of these pics. As I told you before my camera is dead during the summer and I could photograph my nails just with an old cellphone in June and July. I won't post swatches from those months but just a few of nail arts that I like the most. So, be patient, I'm going to search to not post low quality pics one behind the other, but I'll alternate them to good photos made before and after those weeks. :)

 

 

I'm extremely proud of this gradient nail art made with a makeup sponge and a lot of patience, even because this was my very FIRST sponge gradient ever. I was a bit' discouraged after many watermarble fails, and disappointing nail patches... But I've found a talent of mine, at last! Yay! è__é/

● KIKO - 389 LATTEMENTA
A lovely mint creme quite bright but still delicate, I guess it's an enchanting nuance, a must have. Application was good: actually many girls said the application of this polish was hard because the thickness, but I didn't find it so dense... I can't explain this thing, really. By the way, great duration, and a glossy look also without a top-coat.

● KIKO - 342 VERDE ACQUA

Sorry I can't find the name of this polish, because it is discontinued since a couple of months (but you still can find it in stores, if you're lucky!): official site doesn't show it anymore and there's just the number on the bottle. If you know its name, let me know it, please! ;) The polish is a greenish medium dark teal, that kind of color I'm crazy for, but that's also almost impossible to catch it properly with your camera. Medium coverage but flawless and auto-leveling application. Again very long lasting, as most of KIKO's cremes.
