Kleancolor - Holo Chrome

Oggi un post solo in italiano, perchè son pigra. Comunque non si tratta di una nail art, ma di uno smalto, oltretutto pluriswatchato ovunque, quindi non penso che questa carenza porterà gli anglofoni al suicidio. ;P

KLEANCOLOR - HOLOCHROME

Premetto subito che è uno smalto jelly, quindi, per chi non fosse esperto, significa che non è coprente con meno di 2/3 passate, e che sono anche lunghe da asciugare, perchè ha un finish glossatissimo, ma se volete potete metterci sotto una base bianca o nude per risparmiare molto tempo e strati, riducendo però l'effetto caramelloso. La base, che è tra blu e il lavanda, è foderata di microglitter multichrome, ed è bellissimo. Splendido soprattutto in acqua (in piscina non riuscivo a smettere di fissarlo), penso sia uno smalto che mette perfino di buon umore!
P.S. puzza l'ira d'iddio, visto che contiene toluene!

Depend - Magnetic 6008 + A-England - Camelot

ENG: usually I'm usually not into magnetic nail polishes, but I fell in love with this one as soon as I've seen it, especially because its coupling of colors. I liked so much, both in colors and decorations, that I decided to buy other 2 polishes from this collection, but I'm going to show you that ones with no hurry. :)
P.S. I used a black base under the magnetic polish, to increase deepnees of colors and reflection.
ITA: di solito non sono una fan degli smalti magnetici, ma quando ho visto questo sono rimasta subito attratta dall'insolita, ma azzeccatissima, combinazione di colori. Mi è piaciuto così tanto, anche nella decorazione, che ho preso altri due smalti da questa collezione, ma ve li mostrerò più avanti, con calma. :)

P.S. ho usato una base nera sotto lo smalto magnetico, per implementare profondità di colori e riflessi.

DEPEND - MAGNETIC 6008

ENG: the mix of colours is very casual but still peculiar: base shade is a medium blue jeans that turns into a bleached jeans plus and shimmer fucshia areas. I think the magnet is just a bit small to fit my large nails, so I decided for a bilateral design, saving the space in the middle from magnetic effect. Two more useful things: it's better to use a black “underwear” as base to more deepness; and duration with no chips is excellent. 

ITA: il mix di colori è informale ed originale allo stesso tempo: il colore di base è un blu jeans metallico che, una volta magnetizzato, viene arricchito da aree in blu jeans sbiancato e da altre con un brillante shimmer fucsia. Il magnete mi è sembrato un po' piccino per le mie unghie larghe, però, così ho optato per un design bilaterale, lasciando la parte centrale dell'unghia dipinta normalmente. Altre info utili: meglio usare una MutandaTM nera sotto, per maggiore profondità; e la durata senza scheggiature è eccezionale.

Mi-Ny - 70 Patience + Mi-Ny - 172 Heaven + scotch tape + rhinestones

ENG: I realized this nail art a few months ago (I forgot to post it, shame on me!) using the scotch tape technique in «laser» design, as Nalside explains very well in one of her tutorials. I got a big help using a striping tape, and I also added a few pendant rhinestones in the end.

ITA: ho fatto questa nail art diversi mesi fa (e mi ero dimenticata di postarla, ovviamOnte!) con la tecnica dello scotch tape nel design «laser», come Nailside insegna in uno dei suoi tutorial. Ho facilitato la realizzazione usando lo striping tape e, alla fine, ci ho aggiunto strass con tonalità pendant ai due smalti scelti.

MI-NY - 172 HEAVEN

ENG: this is a dark ultramarine blue that couldn't be confused for black, not even without bright lights. Formula is great: very covering, despite high pigmentation it's not sticky at all, long lasting and auto leveling. You'll just need of a top coat for a glossy effect.

ITA: è un blu oltremare piuttosto scuro ma, nonostante questo, non tende a confondersi con il nero, neanche in assenza di luce intensa. La formula è ottima: coprente, non vischiosa nonostante l'alta pigmentazione, di durata eccellente, e autolivellante. Ha solo bisogno di un top coat se volete un effetto glossato.

MI-NY - 70 PATIENCE

ENG: this is a medium magenta shade less saturated than a classic magenta. It's not super covering and flawless at the first coat as other mi-ny cremes that I've tried in the past, but it's still above the average: I just guess I've been spoilt from this brand's polishes with the same finish. :P It also is long lasting, especially with a top coat on to it, that's needful for a glossy effect, too.

ITA: questo smalto è un color magenta medio, meno saturo del magenta classico. Non è super coprente e già perfetto alla prima passata passata come altre creme della mi-ny che ho provato in precedenza, ma resta comunque di una coprenza sopra la media per smalti dal finish similare (penso sia solo "colpa" della mi-ny che mi ha abituata troppo bene, non dello smalto in sè! :P). Ha anche un'ottima durata, che aumenta moltissimo con un lieve strato di top coat, necessario anche se si vuole un effetto finale glossato.

ENG: what a nail polish! I did like it as soon as I've seen it on online swatches, but I did like it not so much to buy it: the color is a beautiful acquamarine, but seemed a bit flat, and the silver foil finish didn't help so much... In real life is awesome, instead! This shade has a wonderful deepness and intensity of color, and the formula and duration are great both! ;D

ITA: che smalto! Mi è piaciuto da subito appena l'ho visto negli swatches online, ma non mi era piaciuto così tanto da prenderlo, perchè il colore, pur essendo un bellissimo acquamarina, sembrava un po' piatto sotto alcune luci, e il finish foil argentato non aiutava. Beh, dal vero è tutta un'altra storia! E' di una profondità e di un'intensità pazzesche, e anche la sua formulazione è molto buona, durata compresa! ;D

Holothon: China Glaze - Meteor Shower + China Glaze - Fairy Dust

ENG: this week my Holothon post doesn't show an actual holo nail polish, but two nail polishes that both contain small/medium size glitter holos. One of them has a colored base, the other one has a clear base, and they are old must-haves from China Glaze, that have nothing to envy from all fabulous trendies of last years. ITA: questa settimana, per la Holothon, non posterò uno smalto propriamente olografico, ma due smalti, uno a base colorata e uno a base trasparente, contenenti glitter olografici di dimensioni medio-piccole. Entrambi sono della China Glaze e sono dei cavalli di battaglia storici del famoso brand americano. Vecchie glorie che, a mio parere, non hanno proprio nulla da invidiare a tutte le novità degli ultimi anni. CHINA GLAZE - METEOR SHOWER

ENG: this nail polish has a very dark blue base and contains a lot of small/medium size and round/square glitters that are holographic, opal and/or multicor. It stinks like rubber, but I'm pretty sure the reason is that this shade was released in the 2009 with an old formulation. Application in not hard, but you'll still must to pay attention to a little thickness and a long dry; it also needs of a top coat, since it loses shine and gains roughness when it dries. Anyway, this is still a gorgeous polish!

ITA: questo smalto ha una base blu molto scura e contiene glitter olografici, opalescenti e/o multicolor, di forma rotonda e quadrata, e di dimensioni medio/piccole. Ha una puzza di gomma tremenda, credo sia il retaggio di una vecchissima formulazione, infatti questo smalto è stato messo in commercio nel lontano 2009, se non erro. L'applicazione non è difficoltosa, ma bisogna comunque fare attenzione ad una certa densità, che, di conseguenza, fa asciugare il tutto abbastanza lentamente; inoltre necessita di top coat, perchè diventa un po' ruvido e spento in superficie una volta asciutto. Ad ogni modo, è splendido!

CHINA GLAZE - FAIRY DUST

ENG: one of my favourite polishes, and surely the one I've used most since I own it. Why? Because, despite it smells like rubber (but I love that, anyway! :P) and it's a very useful top coat with a clear base and a lot of holo microglitters, that revitalizes any "boring" shade, and works well over any color. Shame on you if you haven't this beauty in your stash! ;D

ITA: uno dei miei smalti preferiti, e sicuramente quello che ho usato di più da quando lo possiedo. Perchè? Perchè, a dispetto del suo odore gommoso (che però a me piace! :P) è un utilissimo top coat a base trasparente pieno di micro glitter olografici, che ravviva anche il colore più "noioso", e sta bene davvero su tutto. Non potete non avercelo nella vostra collezione! ;P

UNDER THE SEA! - IN FONDO AL MAR!

ENG: here we are with a new event with my polish buddies! This time we're going to pay a tribute to the summer, but, since it's so hot these days and we need of a bit of freshness, then we'll celebrate the summer... UNDER THE SEA, as Sebastion sang! The idea comes from Gold Francine from the blog The Beauty Case, and I'm pretty sure there are new one-shot projects for the future in her head. ;)

ITA: eccoci ad un altro evento con le mie smaltamiche! Questa volta si festeggia l'estate, ma, visto che qua si schiatta di caldo, si festeggia l'estate... IN FONDO AL MAR, come cantava il buon Sebastian, così stiamo pure più fresche, toh! L'idea è stata di Gold Francine, del blog The Beauty Case, ed ho la poco vaga sensazione che abbia tutta l'intenzione di sfornare altri di questi eventi one-shot a tema. ;)

ENG: I tried a nail art that I've never tried before, the "Sugar Spun" technique. This is a very funny technique, done by pulling the nail polishes like they were melted cheese! I didn't follow tutorials perfectly, but I'm still overjoyed of the result. I'm wearing this manicure for 5 days and it's still flawless as it was just painted, and I'm happy for this, because I can't get tired of it; I'll surely do it again and again! ;D

ITA: ho voluto cimentarmi in una nail art che non avevo mai provato prima, utilizzando la tecnica chiamata "Sugar Spun", dove si fondono e filano le goccione di smalto come sottilette! Non ho proprio seguito alla lettera i vari tutorial che ho trovato in giro per la rete, ma sono comunque stracontenta del risultato, e, mentre scrivo queste righe, ho questa manicure già da 5 giorni e mi dispiace per quando dovrò toglierla (e chissà quando sarà, visto che è intatta come appena fatta!). Mi sa che la rifarò spesso! ;D

L'Oreal - 624 Island in the Sun + Zoya - Minka

ENG: I hardly pay attention to display of "most popular" brands, but, this time, in front of l'oreal... *BLING* What is that skyblue/gold adoooorable thing that is smirking to me? What's? What's? "How pretty are you, little baby? Would you want a new home, sweetie? Come, come to me, my love, you'll never be alone and dusty". Yes... This is what I usually think as soon as I fall in love with a polish... ^__^;

ITA: difficilmente mi tengo aggiornata o spulcio gli stand delle marche "più popolari", ma, passando davanti a quello della L'Oreal, stavolta... *BLING* Cos'è quella cosa azzurro/doratina che mi fa l'occhiolino? Cose'è? Cos'è? "Ma quanto sei carino piccino, la vuoi una casina nuova? Vieni, vieni amore, non sarai più solo e impolverato". Sì, questo è quello che penso io di solito quando mi innamoro di uno smaltino... ^__^;

L'OREAL - MISS POP - 624 ISLAND IN THE SUN

ENG: beautiful. I don't want to waste useless words but BEAUTIFUL. I've seen a few swatches online, and it's been always applied alone, but actually I think it's better using it over a base. In the pic below you can see 3 experiments: over a black creme base, a pearly white one, and a cream/beige shade (the one I've chosen for this post). Last two pics show you how the duochrome effect changes over a blue base. A+

ITA: bellissimo. Non voglio sprecare parole, se non dire che è BELLISSIMO. Ho visto diversi swatches online, e tutte le volte era applicato da solo, ma, a dire il vero, io penso sia infinitamente meglio applicarlo sopra una base. Nell'immagine qui sotto potete vedere tre esperimenti (alla buona): il primo sopra una base cremosa nera, sopra un bianco perlato, e poi su un panna/beige (quello che poi ho scelto per questo post). Le ultime due immagini mostrano l'effetto duochrome sopra ad una base blu. 10+

ZOYA - MINKA

ENG: I cannot say very much about its quality, because it's so hot and warm these days, that any nail polish is hard to apply and to dry, so I have to postpone the review until the weather will be more clement, or maybe until the plumber will fix my air conditioner (soon, please!). -__- In the meanwhile I could say that this  polish is a cream/beige with a very slight shimmer that doesn't show off on nails, and it's the perfect mannequin shade for my skintone. :)

ITA: un nuovo arrivo e già l'ho varato con piacere! Sulla qualità non so dire molto, perchè fa talmente caldo in questi giorni che qualsiasi smalto è durissimo sia da stendere che da far asciugare, e quindi rimanderò la recensione di questo smalto ad un clima più favorevole, o magari quando aggiusteranno il condizionatore di casa mia. -__- Nel frattempo dico solo che è un panna/beige con un lieve shimmer quasi nulla visibile su unghie. La perfetta tinta mannequin per la mia carnagione. :)

DISCONTINUED DAY #2 ESSENCE - from TE Fruity + 50's Girls Reloaded

ENG: here we are with a new Discontinued Day, the monthly twinsie post dedicated to nail polishes or makeup that are no more available in stores. ITA: eccoci ad un altro Discontinued Day, la giornata del mese dedicata agli smalti o al makeup "discontinued", ovvero i prodotti ormai irreperibili perchè provenienti da vecchie edizioni limitate o perchè tolti dal commercio per svariati motivi. In questo secondo appuntamento continuo con altre due Trend Edition di Essence: due smalti dalla collezione Fruity (di aprile 2012, di cui ho già postato in passato un terzo smalto, One Kiwi a Day, trovate il post qui) e uno dalla 50's Girls Reloaded (luglio/agosto 2011).

ESSENCE - FRUITY - BANANA

ENG: I was fascinated by this light pastel and pearly yellow, because I think it's perfect for a delicate look, but it also has a strong effect with tanned hands, so, a polish for all seasons. It's very cute, but the formula is not as cute as I wished: I got the full coverage just at the third coat, and the coats weren't very thin, so the final appearance is "fat" and was also very long to dry. Do you know any dupe more pigmented than this? :P

ITA: questo giallo pastello chiaro e perlato mi intrigava, lo trovo perfetto per un look delicato, ma anche per un contrasto più forte quando si hanno mani abbronzate, uno smalto per tutte le stagioni, insomma. Purtroppo, però, pur essendo molto carino a vedersi, l'applicazione non è altrettanto carina: la coprenza totale l'ho ottenuta solo alla terza mano di colore, e le passate non erano sottili, quindi il risultato è stata una massa abbastanza cicciotta e lunghissima da asciugare. Avete consigli su possibili dupe più scriventi? :P

ESSENCE - FRUITY - STRAWBERRY

ENG: after I catched up the green and the yellow, the I wanted the peachy shade from this collection, but a friend of mine found this pink and I was too much in love with this "seeds" finish to refuse her kindness. So I own this lovely "strawberry ice cream pink" and I like it, but it doesn't match very well with my skintone; for this reason I added a few nail stickers from GotBeauty brand. Formulation of this polish is much better than the one of the yellow shade from the same collection, but worse than the quality of the green one: coverage is good, but it still dries very slowly. By the way, those seeds in the base make me hungry!

ITA: dopo il giallino e il verdino, avrei voluto lo smalto pesca di questa collezione, ma ero troppo ingrifata da questo finish "a semini" per rifiutare il rosa, quando una mia amica mi ha detto di avere trovato solo questo "rosa gelato alla fragola" in un display. Non che non mi piaccia, solo che sbatte un casino col mio sottotono di pelle, e per questo  motivo ho aggiunto qualche stickers della GotBeauty, altrimenti sembrava non avessi neanche le unghie! XD La formulazione è molto migliore di quella del giallo banana della medesima collezione, ma peggiore di quella del verde kiwi; sebbene la coprenza sia maggiore, e quindi si possono fare strati più sottili, l'asciugatura è stata ugualmente lenta. Però quanto adoro quei semini, mi fanno fame!

ESSENCE - 50'S GIRL RELOADED - 03 I'M A MARINE GIRL

ENG: once upon a time there was a gorgeous blue shimmer that I really really loved: Pupa - 701 China Blue. It was a one coater, extremely pigmented, a deep and intense color, also very long lasting... Simply gorgeous! It had just one lack: it dried up in the bottle after only two applications, so I had to start a hunt for a dupe. This Essence is quite close to the goal: colour and finish are the same, but pigmentation isn't at the same level than my previous treasure. By the way, it's amazing this one, too! Stickers are from Mi-Ny!

ITA: eccoci arrivati al pezzo forte di questo post, a mio parere. Anni fa avevo un blu shimmer che adoravo, il Pupa - 701 China Blue: one coater, colore pieno, profondo, intenso, durata eccellente... Spettacolare! Ma si è seccato tantissimo dopo due soli utilizzi e quindi ho cercato un dupe per sostituirlo. Con questo Essence ci sono quasi: il colore e il finish sono uguali, ma la formulazione, invece, è meno pigmentata e ci vogliono due passate di colore, ma alla fine è stupendo anche questo! Gli stickers sono della Mi-Ny!

ENG: since I didn't have enough stickers for all my nails, then I used a different type for my right hand, from the same kit of decals. P.S. sorry but my right hans always has very short nails and with different lenght... It can't be helped: I'm not able to be more careful to my nails and they always broke (up with me)! XD

ITA: visto che non avevo abbastanza stickers uguali per tutte le dita, sulla mano destra ho messo questi altri, che facevano parte dello stesso set di decals. P.S. la mia mano destra ha sempre le unghie cortissime e di lunghezze diverse, non ce la farò MAI in tutta la vita a limitarmi nell'usarle per evitare di spaccarle! XD
