ZOYA - VALERIE

ENG: is this nail polish discontinued? I can't find it in the official website anymore... Anyway, don't worry, since you can find its dupe from the same brand: Zoya - Jem. Actually there's a thiny tiny difference between them: same color, same finish, but they have a different size of shimmer, but this is a lilliputian difference, and I think there's no need of both. This nail polish has a sparkle/glassflecks finish, a very dark base with violet shimmer and has a slight duochrome effect that goes on copper under strong lights. More: average application, average drying time; average duration. Average in all, except that's beautiful! ;D

ITA: ma questa belessa è discontinued? Perchè sul sito ufficiale non lo vedo mica più... Vabbeh, in compenso, si trova senza problemi un suo dupe, rilasciato dalla stessa marca: lo Zoya - Jem. Non sono proprio identici, perchè c'è una lievissima differenza nelle dimensioni dello shimmer, ma colore e finish sono assolutamente gli stessi, quindi, direi che, se non riuscite a trovare il Valerie, amen! A parte tutto il chiacchiericcio, questo smalto è uno sparkle/glassflecks a base molto scura con shimmer violetto che, sotto luci intense, ha anche un lieve effetto bicromatico che vira sul rame. Altre info: applicazione normale,  tempi di asciugatura normali, durata normale. Tutto normale, a parte che è stupendo! ;D

Depend - Magnetic 6008 + A-England - Camelot

ENG: usually I'm usually not into magnetic nail polishes, but I fell in love with this one as soon as I've seen it, especially because its coupling of colors. I liked so much, both in colors and decorations, that I decided to buy other 2 polishes from this collection, but I'm going to show you that ones with no hurry. :)
P.S. I used a black base under the magnetic polish, to increase deepnees of colors and reflection.
ITA: di solito non sono una fan degli smalti magnetici, ma quando ho visto questo sono rimasta subito attratta dall'insolita, ma azzeccatissima, combinazione di colori. Mi è piaciuto così tanto, anche nella decorazione, che ho preso altri due smalti da questa collezione, ma ve li mostrerò più avanti, con calma. :)

P.S. ho usato una base nera sotto lo smalto magnetico, per implementare profondità di colori e riflessi.

DEPEND - MAGNETIC 6008

ENG: the mix of colours is very casual but still peculiar: base shade is a medium blue jeans that turns into a bleached jeans plus and shimmer fucshia areas. I think the magnet is just a bit small to fit my large nails, so I decided for a bilateral design, saving the space in the middle from magnetic effect. Two more useful things: it's better to use a black “underwear” as base to more deepness; and duration with no chips is excellent. 

ITA: il mix di colori è informale ed originale allo stesso tempo: il colore di base è un blu jeans metallico che, una volta magnetizzato, viene arricchito da aree in blu jeans sbiancato e da altre con un brillante shimmer fucsia. Il magnete mi è sembrato un po' piccino per le mie unghie larghe, però, così ho optato per un design bilaterale, lasciando la parte centrale dell'unghia dipinta normalmente. Altre info utili: meglio usare una MutandaTM nera sotto, per maggiore profondità; e la durata senza scheggiature è eccezionale.

L'Oreal - 624 Island in the Sun + Zoya - Minka

ENG: I hardly pay attention to display of "most popular" brands, but, this time, in front of l'oreal... *BLING* What is that skyblue/gold adoooorable thing that is smirking to me? What's? What's? "How pretty are you, little baby? Would you want a new home, sweetie? Come, come to me, my love, you'll never be alone and dusty". Yes... This is what I usually think as soon as I fall in love with a polish... ^__^;

ITA: difficilmente mi tengo aggiornata o spulcio gli stand delle marche "più popolari", ma, passando davanti a quello della L'Oreal, stavolta... *BLING* Cos'è quella cosa azzurro/doratina che mi fa l'occhiolino? Cose'è? Cos'è? "Ma quanto sei carino piccino, la vuoi una casina nuova? Vieni, vieni amore, non sarai più solo e impolverato". Sì, questo è quello che penso io di solito quando mi innamoro di uno smaltino... ^__^;

L'OREAL - MISS POP - 624 ISLAND IN THE SUN

ENG: beautiful. I don't want to waste useless words but BEAUTIFUL. I've seen a few swatches online, and it's been always applied alone, but actually I think it's better using it over a base. In the pic below you can see 3 experiments: over a black creme base, a pearly white one, and a cream/beige shade (the one I've chosen for this post). Last two pics show you how the duochrome effect changes over a blue base. A+

ITA: bellissimo. Non voglio sprecare parole, se non dire che è BELLISSIMO. Ho visto diversi swatches online, e tutte le volte era applicato da solo, ma, a dire il vero, io penso sia infinitamente meglio applicarlo sopra una base. Nell'immagine qui sotto potete vedere tre esperimenti (alla buona): il primo sopra una base cremosa nera, sopra un bianco perlato, e poi su un panna/beige (quello che poi ho scelto per questo post). Le ultime due immagini mostrano l'effetto duochrome sopra ad una base blu. 10+

ZOYA - MINKA

ENG: I cannot say very much about its quality, because it's so hot and warm these days, that any nail polish is hard to apply and to dry, so I have to postpone the review until the weather will be more clement, or maybe until the plumber will fix my air conditioner (soon, please!). -__- In the meanwhile I could say that this  polish is a cream/beige with a very slight shimmer that doesn't show off on nails, and it's the perfect mannequin shade for my skintone. :)

ITA: un nuovo arrivo e già l'ho varato con piacere! Sulla qualità non so dire molto, perchè fa talmente caldo in questi giorni che qualsiasi smalto è durissimo sia da stendere che da far asciugare, e quindi rimanderò la recensione di questo smalto ad un clima più favorevole, o magari quando aggiusteranno il condizionatore di casa mia. -__- Nel frattempo dico solo che è un panna/beige con un lieve shimmer quasi nulla visibile su unghie. La perfetta tinta mannequin per la mia carnagione. :)

Twinsie Friday: Duchrome Sephora - 67 Moody Woman + A-England - Camelot

ENG: here we are with a new duochromed friday! This time I'm going to show you a polish that I've already swatched in the past (click here to see it), but I wasn't so satisfied from it, I must to admit it. But time goes by, and we always discover new tricks to make bright our babies more and more. So, this time, I've used a black underwear and no those light mintish shades from before... *evil laugh* *thunder* *evil laugh again* It's a whole different thing in this way, aaaaaaaaall different! :D

ITA: eccoci qui per un altro venerdì bicromatico! Questa volta tocca ad uno smalto che ho già swatchato in passato (clicca qui per vedere il post) ma che mi era rimasto un po' sul gozzo, lo confesso. A distanza di tempo, però, ho scoperto che era solo mea culpa, mea grandissima culpa, perchè ci avevo messo sotto diverse basi, ma tutte chiare e sul menta... Ma ora che conosco la furbata della sacra mutandaTM nera... *mwahahaha* *fulmine* "mwahahahaha di nuovo* Tutta un'altra storia, gente, tuuuuutta un'altra storia! :D

SEPHORA - 67 MOODY WOMAN

ENG: no much to say, because I've spent enough time to edit the pics above! XD By the way, you can see how the color changes from mint, to greensea, to teal and even to a light electric blue, depending on light and inclination. All this beauty is possible with a black base under the polish, otherwise the duochrome effect will be a lot less evident and the color will be less deep and intense! Application was great, I needed only two thin coats, and the second one was very delicate, to avoid noticeable brush strokes.

ITA: non ho molto da dire, anche perchè ho già perso sufficiente tempo per sistemare tutte le foto qui sopra! XD Comunque, a seconda del tipo di luce e di inclinazione delle unghie rispetto ad essa, potete vedere come questo smalto viri dal menta, al verdemare, all'ottanio, e ad un blu chiaro quasi elettrico. Tutto questo, però, solo se utilizzate la famosa mutandaTM nera sotto, sennò l'effetto bicromatico sarà molto meno evidente e il colore di base meno profondo ed intenso! L'applicazione è stata ottima, sono bastate due passatine sottili, di cui la seconda molto delicata, per non far vedere troppo le pennellate.

SEPHORA - 68 DIVING IN MALAYSIA

ENG: alone is a dull gold with just a hint of duochrome effect, so it is a lot better using a black "underwear", as I did in the swatches above. Applicazione is very good, and the large and wide brush is amazing for perople who has large nails like me. It dries a bit slowly but it's very long lasting.

ITA: da solo è un oro spento e poco bicromatico, l'effetto più bello lo si ottiene con la mutanda nera sotto, come ho fatto io in questi swatches. Applicazione ottima, e, grazie al pennello largo e piatto, si stende da Dio se avete le unghie un po' larghe come le mie. Asciugatura un po' lentina, ma lunghissima durata!

Twinsie Friday: Duochrome Golden Rose - Classics Metallic - 06 + A-England - Camelot

ENG: here we are with a new Duochrome Friday! This time I'm showing off to you a Golden Rose with a slight duochrome effect, despite it's applied over a black lacquer to bring out more reflections. ITA: eccoci con un nuovo appuntamento del venerdì dedicato ai duochrome! Stavolta tocca ad un Golden Rose con effetto bicromatico lieve, nonostante sia applicato sopra ad una base nera per esaltarne i riflessi. Come al solito, non sono sola in questa avventura, e alla fine del post trovate i links delle altre smaltamiche!

ENG: most of time is an intense and metallic copper with darker and greenish edges

ITA: la maggior parte del tempo è un rame intenso dal finish metallico più scuro e verdastro sui bordi

GOLDEN ROSE - CLASSICS METALLIC - 06

ENG: pics above show you off enough about colors, duochrome effects and finish, even under different lights and angles, so I'm going to talk only about its quality: formulation is watery and I think that a colored base is needful for a full coverage and to avoid noticeable brush strokes. Last, but not least, this nail polish never dries, I mean... NEVER! Two/three hours after application you still have to make sure to not touch the surface, and the day after you still have to pay attention to not push and hit it. The neverending polish... -__-

ITA: nelle foto qui sopra potete vedere tutto ciò che vi serve su colori, effetti e finish di questo smalto, anche sotto diverse luci ed angolazioni. Mi limito quindi a ciarlare sulla sua qualità: ha una formulazione acquosa e una base colorata è indispensabile, non solo per la coprenza, ma anche per evitare le pennellate evidenti alla fine. Inoltre questo smalto non asciuga mai, ma proprio MAI! Dopo 2/3 ore è ancora meglio evitare di sfiorarne la superficie, e il giorno dopo è ancora sensibile ai colpi. "La storia infinita" versione smalto... -__-

Twinsie Friday: Duochromes Hits Speciallita - Cool + A-England - Camelot

ENG: here we are with a new Duochrome Friday! This time I'm showing off to you a brazilian beauty from Hits - Speciallità, applied over a black lacquer. In this way you bring out reflections and colours, and you avoid the poor coverage, that's often a typical feature of duochromes. ITA: ed eccoci con un altro appuntamento del venerdì dedicato agli smalti duochrome! Questa volta porto un brasiliano della Hits - Speciallità sopra ad una base laccata nera, un po' per esaltarne i riflessi e i colori, e un po' per evitarne la non coprenza, carenza spesso tipica dei bicromatici. Come al solito, non sono sola in questa avventura, e alla fine del post trovate i links ai post delle altre smaltamiche! ;D

ENG: about its look you've seen enough, I think ;D About formulation there's something to say, instead, because it is not so amazing, I have to admit it: alone is sheer and  a bit uneven, but, on the other hand, over a black base there are no application problems. Plus, the brush was pretty mangy so I had to fix it before using it... But it's beautiful, at last, don't you think?

ITA: riguardo al suo aspetto avete visto abbastanza, penso ;D Riguardo alla qualità, invece, c'è qualcosa da dire, perchè non è eccezionale: da solo è un po' trasparente e disomogeneo, ma sopra una base nera non ci sono stati problemi di stesura. Inoltre il pennello è arrivato spelacchiato e, prima di usarlo, ho dovuto sistemarlo, perchè era inutilizzabile... Nonostante questo, alla fine, è bellissimo, vero?

Twinsie Friday: Duochrome Depend - 086

ENG: as I told you before (ctrl+c and ctrl+v is coming), I hate pink. I hate peach rose. And I hate the pearl finish. And, of course, you can't even imagine how much I hate pearly pink. So... What's wrong with me to buy a shade like this?!? Actually it's my friend Daniela's fault, since this was a gift for her, in the first time. Was. Sorry Dany, shame on me, but I'll buy another one for you in the future, because this evil shade is fucking amazing on nails!!! Keep an eye to my friend's posts at the bottom of this post!!! ;D

ITA: come avevo già scritto (copio-incollo), io odio il rosa. Se possibile, odio ancora di più il rosa pesca. E odio il finish perlato. Non potete neanche immaginare quanto io possa odiare un rosa perlato... Che razza di brutta malattia mi ha portato a mettere questo smalto nel cestino del male? Inizialmente la colpa è della mia amica Daniela, a cui volevo regalare questo smalto ma che, vergogna a me, glielo prenderò in un secondo momento, perchè questo me lo tengo, gne gne gne. Non so come sia possibile, ma... E' stupendo!!!  Date un'occhiata anche alle proposte delle mie smaltamiche: trovate i link alla fine del post! ;D

DEPEND - 086

ENG: it's very hard to catch the beauty of this polish: sometimes it's a very pale gold, sometimes a dull peach, sometimes both, but the pearliness is always the lead actress to make your nails like shells. Coverage is quite good: I did two tiny coats to define the edges and a generous third one to avoid brush strokes. By the way, strokes are not so obvious for a pearly shade. The brush didn't seem so good in the very first time, but the application was very precise in the end. Fast drying. Not so durable, but so beautiful! ;D

ITA: è difficile capire la bellezza di questo smalto: a volte è un oro pallidissimo, a volte un pesca spento, a volte entrambi, ma sempre e comunque la perlescenza la fa da padrona per far sembrare le unghie come conchiglie. La coprenza è piuttosto buona: ho dato due passate sottili per delineare la forma e poi una abbondante per far vedere meno le pennellate, ma, per essere uno smalto perlato, non si vedono molto comunque. Il pennellino non sembrava granchè, ma alla fine la stesura è filata precisissima. Asciugatura veloce. Durata un po' meno. Bellezza garantita! ;D

Twinsie Friday: Duochrome Color Club - Wild and Willing + A-England - Camelot

ENG: I can join to the Duochrome Twinsie Friday with my polish-buddies, at last! If you don't want to see just my post, so scroll down this page and you'll also find their links (they are going to add them during this current day). I'm posting a nail polish that I own since a lot of time and I also worn several times, but I catched it in a photo just once, and I think it couldn't show off its best, so I wanted to give it a small revenge! See you the next time with this date, I suppose it's going to be 2 weeks from now for me! ;)

ITA: questa settimana riesco finalmente a partecipare, con le mie smaltamiche, al Twinsie Friday dedicato agli smalti bicromatici, quindi, se non volete limitarvi a vedere solo questo mio post, andate in fondo alla pagina per trovare i links anche alle loro proposte, che verranno aggiunte via via durante il corso della giornata. Da parte mia ho deciso di postare uno smalto che ho da tantissimo tempo, ho indossato diverse volte, ma che ho fotografato solo in una occasione, e non era neanche al meglio delle sue potenzialità, quindi approfitto di questa occasione per dargli il suo giusto merito! Alla prossima con questo appuntamento di gruppo, probabilmente, per me, tra 2 settimane! ;)

COLOR CLUB - WILD AND WILLING

ENG: I've already swatched this polish here, but that previous time was over a brick red base; this time I've chosen a more simple black base. But this isn't a choice so simple, after all: if you wear it alone you'll have a gold polish with copper reflection; if you wear it over a reddish base you'll obtain a gold/copper duochrome, BUT, if you wear it over a black base... Surprise! The variety of shades are more and more: they go from gold to green to pink, sometimes even together, and the metallic finish intensifies all colors. I think that this polish over black is extremely close to MAC - Mean & Green, Orly - Space Cadet and the other bunch of dupes out there. What else? Why the hell the MAC one doesn't fit with my skintones but this one does? Maybe because of the black base more? Mmmmh...

ITA: ho già swatchato questo bellissimo smalto qui, ma era sopra una base rosso mattone. Stavolta ho voluto layerarlo, banalmente, sopra al classico nero. Ma, se da solo è un semplice oro con riflessi ramati, e sopra ad una base rossastra non è molto di più che un duochrome oro/rame, sopra al nero è al meglio delle sue potenzialità: assume una quantità di sfumature estremamente variegate che vanno dall'oro al verde, fino al rosa, a volte anche mescolati insieme! Il suo finish metallico rende il tutto ancora più intenso e ricorda moltissimo lo strafamoso MAC - Mean & Green, l'Orly - Space Cadet e la moltitudine di dupes che li accompagna. Che altro dire? Per esempio, ecco, vorrei chiedere perchè questo mi sta bene e il MAC no... Sarà la base nera? Mmmmmh... Chiamiamo Giacobbo!

A-ENGLAND - CAMELOT

ENG: I have no many words to say about this nail polish: it's my trusty black base and it has a perfect formulation. I'm using it for months and it's still flowing and opaque as the first time. Perfect polish.

ITA: non ho molto da dire su questo smalto, se non che è la mia base nera di fiducia ed ha una formulazione fan-ta-sti-ca. Dopo mesi e decine di utilizzi è ancora fluido e coprentissimo, perfetto.
