Holothon: Mi-Ny - 251 I love Seul

MI-NY - 251 I LOVE SEUL

ENG: this polish reminds me a lot to another one I love a lot, China Glaze - Bogie: it's a shimmer-almost-frost and has a burgundy-almost-eggplant base like it. Mi-Ny has holo glitters more: some small and rounded, and some in stripes/strings shape, but sometimes I think this polish is so gorgeous and classy by itself and it doesn't need of any addiction. By the way, probably nothing seems "too much" on longer nails than mines, I must to be honest. I was forgetting about duration: this nail polish lasts a lot: I worn it for a whole week with just a few and very slight chips!

ITA: il colore e il finish ricordano moltissimo un altro smalto che ho e che adoro, il China Glaze - Bogie: come lui è uno shimmer-quasi-frost su base bordeaux-quasi-melanzana, ma il Mi-Ny ha in più dei piccoli glitter olografici rotondi ed altri "a vermino" che, se devo essere sincera, sotto alcune luci penso siano un po' superflui, perchè lo smalto sarebbe già splendido e di classe senza ulteriori aggiunte. Probabilmente con unghie più lunghe delle mie questo non sarebbe neanche un problema, però, sarò sincera. Dimenticavo che dura un boato: una settimana intera andando al mare e alla fine avevo pochissime lievi scheggiature!

Holothon: S.HE Stylezone - 155

ENG: for this Holothon post I'm going to show you a nail polish that I bought at DM - Drogerie Markt in Slovenija from the brand S.HE Stylezone. In the beginning I've chosen this polish as a gift for my friend Dany, but I tought to buy another bottle for me, too, because it seemed very nice, despite it was pink. I bought it, I wore it, I also liked it, but I can't... It's too pink for me... So this shade became a gift again, this time for Alice of the blog Alice in Wondernails, a lovely blogger who I met for the first time during past holidays ♥

ITA: questa settimana, per la Holothon, vi mostro uno smalto preso da DM - Drogerie Markt in Slovenia, del brand S.HE Stylezone. Lo avevo acquistato come regalo per la mia amica Dany, molto più amante di me del rosa. Poi ne ho presa una boccetta anche per me, perchè sembrava niente male. L'ho messo e mi è pure piaciuto, lo ammetto; ma non ce la faccio... E' troppo rosa per me. Così anche questo è diventato un regalo, stavolta ad Alice di Alice in Wondernails, che ho conosciuto durante le vacanze estive ♥

ENG: I have not very much to say about this shade: it's a Big Babol pink but with a no extreme saturation of color, and it's a holo microglitters (almost scattered under intense sunlight). Pretty, very pretty!

ITA: non ho molto da dire: è uno smalto rosa Big Babol non eccessivamente saturo, dal finish olografico microglitter (vagamente scattered sotto la luce solare diretta). Carino, davvero carino!

Holothon: China Glaze - Meteor Shower + China Glaze - Fairy Dust

ENG: this week my Holothon post doesn't show an actual holo nail polish, but two nail polishes that both contain small/medium size glitter holos. One of them has a colored base, the other one has a clear base, and they are old must-haves from China Glaze, that have nothing to envy from all fabulous trendies of last years. ITA: questa settimana, per la Holothon, non posterò uno smalto propriamente olografico, ma due smalti, uno a base colorata e uno a base trasparente, contenenti glitter olografici di dimensioni medio-piccole. Entrambi sono della China Glaze e sono dei cavalli di battaglia storici del famoso brand americano. Vecchie glorie che, a mio parere, non hanno proprio nulla da invidiare a tutte le novità degli ultimi anni. CHINA GLAZE - METEOR SHOWER

ENG: this nail polish has a very dark blue base and contains a lot of small/medium size and round/square glitters that are holographic, opal and/or multicor. It stinks like rubber, but I'm pretty sure the reason is that this shade was released in the 2009 with an old formulation. Application in not hard, but you'll still must to pay attention to a little thickness and a long dry; it also needs of a top coat, since it loses shine and gains roughness when it dries. Anyway, this is still a gorgeous polish!

ITA: questo smalto ha una base blu molto scura e contiene glitter olografici, opalescenti e/o multicolor, di forma rotonda e quadrata, e di dimensioni medio/piccole. Ha una puzza di gomma tremenda, credo sia il retaggio di una vecchissima formulazione, infatti questo smalto è stato messo in commercio nel lontano 2009, se non erro. L'applicazione non è difficoltosa, ma bisogna comunque fare attenzione ad una certa densità, che, di conseguenza, fa asciugare il tutto abbastanza lentamente; inoltre necessita di top coat, perchè diventa un po' ruvido e spento in superficie una volta asciutto. Ad ogni modo, è splendido!

CHINA GLAZE - FAIRY DUST

ENG: one of my favourite polishes, and surely the one I've used most since I own it. Why? Because, despite it smells like rubber (but I love that, anyway! :P) and it's a very useful top coat with a clear base and a lot of holo microglitters, that revitalizes any "boring" shade, and works well over any color. Shame on you if you haven't this beauty in your stash! ;D

ITA: uno dei miei smalti preferiti, e sicuramente quello che ho usato di più da quando lo possiedo. Perchè? Perchè, a dispetto del suo odore gommoso (che però a me piace! :P) è un utilissimo top coat a base trasparente pieno di micro glitter olografici, che ravviva anche il colore più "noioso", e sta bene davvero su tutto. Non potete non avercelo nella vostra collezione! ;P

MI-NY - HOLOGRAPHIC TOUCH - BROWN

ENG: this nail polish seems more antique pink than brown, but who cares at all? It's a holo so holo that... Really... A crazy linear effect, crazy! It's that kind of holo polish that needs a smoothing base, and you'll have to apply it fastly, and that isn't long lasting, but, again, WHO CARES? I think it worths any second that lasts on my nails. Even better than Laylas and Nfu.Ohs, from my point of view. Amazing!

ITA: che dire di questo smalto? Non ha molto di "brown", a dire il vero, sembra più un pallidissimo rosa antico, ma mettiamoci anche un enorme CHISSENEFREGA visto che il suo effetto olografico ha una pUtenza devaShtante a tratti alluSCinante (ieri notte in tv c'era Attila FlaGGello d'Iddio, sì! XD). No, sul serio, è un holo linear pauroso! E' del tipo che necessita di base levigante, che va messo velocemente, e che dura poco, ma sticazzi, vale ogni secondo in cui resta sulle vostre unghie. Per me, anche meglio dei Layla!

Holothon: Hits Speciallita - Dionisio

ITA: anche questa settimana, come quella passata, vi mostro uno smalto non mio, ma prestatomi da mia cugina Barbara (visitate il suo blog, Nail Polish Crazy), e, come sempre, andate in fondo a questo post per i link agli smalti holo delle mie amicicie! ;D

SPECIALLITA - HITS NO OLIMPO - DIONISIO

ENG: I must to admit that I'm a bit disappointed by this shade, especially about application. It has an almost jelly base, so you'll need of two generous layers of color, at least, with obvious conseguences: risk of bubbles,empty areas, and a very slow drying; the brush is a medium size wide one, but it was done not so well so application isn't very precise. Despite all of this, the polish is cute: it hasn't the deepness I was expecting from online swatches, but it's a peculiar purple, sometimes more violet, sometimes more blue. :)

ITA: devo dire che sono rimasta un po' delusa da questo smalto, su cui avevo aspettative altissime. Le mie rimostranze sono soprattutto sull'applicazione, perchè ha una base quasi jelly che rende necessario stendere almeno due strati di colore abbondanti, con conseguenti rischi di bolle e aree vuote, e sicura asciugatura lunghissima; inoltre il pennello è un po' piatto, e questo è bene, ma non è fatto benissimo, quindi la precisione non granchè. A parte questo, alla fine è carino: non ha la profondità di colore che vedevo in giro sugli swatches online, ma è un viola non banale, a volte più verso il violetto, a volte verso il blu. :)

ITA: una Holothon velocissima, perchè con questo caldo è dura scrivere qualcosa prima che evapori... LAYLA - HOLOGRAM EFFECT - FLASH BLACK ENG: this polish has a light charcoal base and a strong linear holo effect. With "strong" I mean... "STRONG"! Pics above have been taken under bulblight, and the holo effect is even more stunning under sunlight! Application is very hard without a proper smoothing base (I've used the Nfu-Oh - Aqua Base) and it isn't so durable (just one whole day with no cheaps, if you're lucky), but it's still a great polish. *__* ITA: questo smalto è un'antracite chiaro con un forte effetto olografico linear. E quando dico "forte" intendo proprio "FORTE"! Le immagini qui sopra sono prese sotto luce artificiale, e sotto la luce del sole l'effetto olografico è perfino più intenso! L'applicazione è faticosa senza una base appropriata (io ho usato la Nfu-Oh - Aqua Base) e non è molto durevole (un giorno intero senza scheggiature, se siete fortunati), ma resta comunque un grande smalto. *__*

Holothon: Catherine Arley - 806 + Basic Beauty - 119

CATHERINE ARLEY - 806

ENG: this polish is a bit (lot) sheer, so I decided to use a colored base, and my choice is a bricktoned orange: the color of the base is close to the holo one, but it's darker, so the holo effect can be deeper in the end, since it is quite sweet all alone. I cannot say if this is a scattered holo or a microglitter one, maybe none of them, because the reflection doesn't show off all colours from the prismatic spectrum... By the way, I like it very much even in this way and i think it matches quite well with my complexion. Yes, yes, I like it a lot!

ITA: premetto subito che, essendo un (bel) po' sheer, ho usato una mutandaTM, in questo caso la base colorata è un arancio mattone: ho voluto scegliere un colore molto simile, ma di tonalità più scura, per dare maggiore profondità ai riflessi olografici, che sono piuttosto blandi. Non saprei dire se questo sia uno scattered o un microglitter olografico, o forse neanche quello, perchè le particelle non riflettono tutto lo spettro prismatico, ma solo alcuni colori... Ad ogni modo a me è piaciuto un sacco anche così, e, sorprendentemente, mi piace anche come sta sulla mia carnagione. Sìsì, devo dire che mi piace proprio!

Holothon: Rivka - Carrie

ENG: this was an extra in a swap made by my friend Simona from Light Your Nails blog with a Brazilian girl. In that package also were a few items for me, plus this pretty gift! I wouldn't choose a pink holo by myself, but I think it's quite charming, at last, and I wore it with pleasure! ;)

ITA: in uno swap della mia amica Simona del blog Light Your Nails con una ragazza brasiliana, c'erano anche alcuni smaltini per me, tra cui questo extra in regalo! Di mio non avrei mai scelto un rosa olografico, eppure penso abbia un suo fascino perverso che mi sfugge, alla fine, e così l'ho indossato con piacere! ;)

RIVKA - CARRIE

ENG: what I could add to the pic above? Application was quite good, not bad not great. Drying? I'll pass, because it's too hot these days and there is no nail polish that dries decently... I could speak about the holographic effect, that's in a half way between a scattered and a linear holo, and is well noticeable under both sun and bulb lights, so it is brighten very often, unlike a lot of other holos. ^^

ITA: allura, che dire che non dicano già le foto? L'applicazione era piuttosto buona, non eccelsa, ma neanche da tirare giù santi. Per l'asciugatura passo, perchè col caldo di questi giorni non farebbe testo... Per quanto riguarda, invece, l'effetto olografico, è a metà tra scattered e linear, e funzia sia sotto luci artificiali sia sotto il sole, quindi ha sempre un aspetto abbastanza scintillante, a differenza di molti altri holo. ^^

Holothon: Astra - 704

ENG: this is the fourth week of Holothon and I'm going to post my fourth (and last) Astra holo I own! I've already swatched numbers 703, 705 and 708, more a summary post with all of them. I'm late for this, but... Ehm... Maya has launched the bottle on the floor and I had green holo polish all over the parquet of my dinner room! It's been a bit of time before I bought it again, ma here it is, at last!

ITA: quarto appuntamento con la Holothon e, per me, il quarto (e ultimo) Astra holo che possiedo! Ho già postato in precedenza i numeri 703, 705 e 708, e un post riassuntivo con tutti e quattro. Ho tardato a mostrarvi questo rispetto agli altri perchè... Ehm... Maya me lo aveva lanciato a terra e avevo smalto verede holo su tutto il parquet del soggiorno! Ci è voluto un po' prima di ricomprarlo, ma eccolo qui , finalmente!

ASTRA - HOLO LACQUER - 704

ENG: this time I've got not very much to say, again, but what's so much to say after seeing these pics? Application is not hard at all for a holo nail polish, and it is also very precise, plus duration is great for days. It has only one little lack: dries not so fast, but who cares? The colour is so original for a holo and under the sunlight it glistens crazily. It is so beautiful, don't you think?

ITA: anche questa settimana ho pochissimo da dire, ma del resto cosa aggiungere oltre alle foto? L'applicazione non è affatto difficoltosa per un olografico, ed è anche estremamente precisa, in più dura parecchi giorni senza problemi. Unica pecca si asciuga un po' lentamente se fate strati spessi, ma chissenefrega? Il colore è originale per un olografico, e sotto il sole esplode di glitter holo, bello, vero? *_*

PUPA - HOLOGRAPHIC - 032 EMERALD GREEN

ENG: only great words for it: it applies as butter, one coater, no need of top coat, dries quite fast and longs a lot on nails. Holographic effect shows off its best under bulb light, like its brothers from the same collection, so you don't must to wait for the summer season to enjoy of it. About its colour... I couldn't decide if it was more a sky blue or more a green mint/jade/pastel... It's definitely a green, in the end, but the dividing line between the two colours is very thin, depending by different lights.

ITA: che dire? Si stende come burro, volendo ne basta una sola passata di colore, non abbisogna di top coat, asciuga alquanto rapidamente e dura parecchio. Come gli altri fratellini della stessa collezione, anche questo dà il suo miglior effetto olografico sotto luci artificiali, e così non si è neanche schiavi della stagione estiva per goderseli. Per quanto riguarda il suo colore, ho faticato non poco a decidere se metterlo con gli azzurrini chiari o con i verdi menta/giada/pastello... Alla fine penso che sia un verde, decisamente, ma, sotto alcune luci, la linea di demarcazione è davvero impercettibile.

Holothon: OPI - My Private Jet (3rd version)

ENG: second "date" with the Holothon saga! This polish was one of my first lemmings ever: I liked so much the idea of a dark cold brown holo, that I felt instantly attracted from it. Then I received this polish as an extra in a swap, but, sadly, mine isn't the first "actual holo" version; not the second version with blue reflection, neither; but this is the third one, aka the "holo glitter" version. You can see a comparison of all variants HERE. My illusion has slumped. ç_ç Go to the bottom of this post for my friends's links! ;D

ITA: eccoci al secondo appuntamento con la Holothon! Questo smalto l'ho bramato a lungo: l'idea di un marrone scuro freddo olografico mi elettrizzava. Poi l'ho ricevuto come extra in uno scambio, ma, purtroppo, il mio non è la prima olograficissima versione; non è neanche la seconda variante, ovvero quella con il riflesso bluastro; la mia è la terza versione, cioè quella con i glitter olografici. Potete vedere un confronto di tutte e tre QUI. Mi ero illusa. ç_ç Andate in fondo a questo post per i link delle mie amicicette! ;D

OPI - MY PRIVATE JET (3RD VERSION: HOLO GLITTERS)

ENG: I have to admit that I'm not so happy about it... First of all: the holo microglitters are not so micro, and, to be honest, they are not so holo, neither... I did pics in its better look, but most of times this nail polish is just a nice dark cold brown with dull silver glitters. Nice, but just... Nice.

ITA: devo ammettere che non sono felicissima di questo smalto... Prima cosa, i microglitter olografici non sono affatto micro, e, ad essere onesti, non sono manco tanto olografici... Le foto che ho fatto cercano di mostrarlo al suo meglio, ma la maggior parte delle volte questo smalto è solo un carino marrone freddo scuro  con glitter argento spenti. Carino. Ma solo... Ehm... Carino.
