Depend - Magnetic 6008 + A-England - Camelot

ENG: usually I'm usually not into magnetic nail polishes, but I fell in love with this one as soon as I've seen it, especially because its coupling of colors. I liked so much, both in colors and decorations, that I decided to buy other 2 polishes from this collection, but I'm going to show you that ones with no hurry. :)
P.S. I used a black base under the magnetic polish, to increase deepnees of colors and reflection.
ITA: di solito non sono una fan degli smalti magnetici, ma quando ho visto questo sono rimasta subito attratta dall'insolita, ma azzeccatissima, combinazione di colori. Mi è piaciuto così tanto, anche nella decorazione, che ho preso altri due smalti da questa collezione, ma ve li mostrerò più avanti, con calma. :)

P.S. ho usato una base nera sotto lo smalto magnetico, per implementare profondità di colori e riflessi.

DEPEND - MAGNETIC 6008

ENG: the mix of colours is very casual but still peculiar: base shade is a medium blue jeans that turns into a bleached jeans plus and shimmer fucshia areas. I think the magnet is just a bit small to fit my large nails, so I decided for a bilateral design, saving the space in the middle from magnetic effect. Two more useful things: it's better to use a black “underwear” as base to more deepness; and duration with no chips is excellent. 

ITA: il mix di colori è informale ed originale allo stesso tempo: il colore di base è un blu jeans metallico che, una volta magnetizzato, viene arricchito da aree in blu jeans sbiancato e da altre con un brillante shimmer fucsia. Il magnete mi è sembrato un po' piccino per le mie unghie larghe, però, così ho optato per un design bilaterale, lasciando la parte centrale dell'unghia dipinta normalmente. Altre info utili: meglio usare una MutandaTM nera sotto, per maggiore profondità; e la durata senza scheggiature è eccezionale.

Mi-Ny - 70 Patience + Mi-Ny - 172 Heaven + scotch tape + rhinestones

ENG: I realized this nail art a few months ago (I forgot to post it, shame on me!) using the scotch tape technique in «laser» design, as Nalside explains very well in one of her tutorials. I got a big help using a striping tape, and I also added a few pendant rhinestones in the end.

ITA: ho fatto questa nail art diversi mesi fa (e mi ero dimenticata di postarla, ovviamOnte!) con la tecnica dello scotch tape nel design «laser», come Nailside insegna in uno dei suoi tutorial. Ho facilitato la realizzazione usando lo striping tape e, alla fine, ci ho aggiunto strass con tonalità pendant ai due smalti scelti.

MI-NY - 172 HEAVEN

ENG: this is a dark ultramarine blue that couldn't be confused for black, not even without bright lights. Formula is great: very covering, despite high pigmentation it's not sticky at all, long lasting and auto leveling. You'll just need of a top coat for a glossy effect.

ITA: è un blu oltremare piuttosto scuro ma, nonostante questo, non tende a confondersi con il nero, neanche in assenza di luce intensa. La formula è ottima: coprente, non vischiosa nonostante l'alta pigmentazione, di durata eccellente, e autolivellante. Ha solo bisogno di un top coat se volete un effetto glossato.

MI-NY - 70 PATIENCE

ENG: this is a medium magenta shade less saturated than a classic magenta. It's not super covering and flawless at the first coat as other mi-ny cremes that I've tried in the past, but it's still above the average: I just guess I've been spoilt from this brand's polishes with the same finish. :P It also is long lasting, especially with a top coat on to it, that's needful for a glossy effect, too.

ITA: questo smalto è un color magenta medio, meno saturo del magenta classico. Non è super coprente e già perfetto alla prima passata passata come altre creme della mi-ny che ho provato in precedenza, ma resta comunque di una coprenza sopra la media per smalti dal finish similare (penso sia solo "colpa" della mi-ny che mi ha abituata troppo bene, non dello smalto in sè! :P). Ha anche un'ottima durata, che aumenta moltissimo con un lieve strato di top coat, necessario anche se si vuole un effetto finale glossato.

Holothon: S.HE Stylezone - 155

ENG: for this Holothon post I'm going to show you a nail polish that I bought at DM - Drogerie Markt in Slovenija from the brand S.HE Stylezone. In the beginning I've chosen this polish as a gift for my friend Dany, but I tought to buy another bottle for me, too, because it seemed very nice, despite it was pink. I bought it, I wore it, I also liked it, but I can't... It's too pink for me... So this shade became a gift again, this time for Alice of the blog Alice in Wondernails, a lovely blogger who I met for the first time during past holidays ♥

ITA: questa settimana, per la Holothon, vi mostro uno smalto preso da DM - Drogerie Markt in Slovenia, del brand S.HE Stylezone. Lo avevo acquistato come regalo per la mia amica Dany, molto più amante di me del rosa. Poi ne ho presa una boccetta anche per me, perchè sembrava niente male. L'ho messo e mi è pure piaciuto, lo ammetto; ma non ce la faccio... E' troppo rosa per me. Così anche questo è diventato un regalo, stavolta ad Alice di Alice in Wondernails, che ho conosciuto durante le vacanze estive ♥

ENG: I have not very much to say about this shade: it's a Big Babol pink but with a no extreme saturation of color, and it's a holo microglitters (almost scattered under intense sunlight). Pretty, very pretty!

ITA: non ho molto da dire: è uno smalto rosa Big Babol non eccessivamente saturo, dal finish olografico microglitter (vagamente scattered sotto la luce solare diretta). Carino, davvero carino!

Holothon: Rivka - Carrie

ENG: this was an extra in a swap made by my friend Simona from Light Your Nails blog with a Brazilian girl. In that package also were a few items for me, plus this pretty gift! I wouldn't choose a pink holo by myself, but I think it's quite charming, at last, and I wore it with pleasure! ;)

ITA: in uno swap della mia amica Simona del blog Light Your Nails con una ragazza brasiliana, c'erano anche alcuni smaltini per me, tra cui questo extra in regalo! Di mio non avrei mai scelto un rosa olografico, eppure penso abbia un suo fascino perverso che mi sfugge, alla fine, e così l'ho indossato con piacere! ;)

RIVKA - CARRIE

ENG: what I could add to the pic above? Application was quite good, not bad not great. Drying? I'll pass, because it's too hot these days and there is no nail polish that dries decently... I could speak about the holographic effect, that's in a half way between a scattered and a linear holo, and is well noticeable under both sun and bulb lights, so it is brighten very often, unlike a lot of other holos. ^^

ITA: allura, che dire che non dicano già le foto? L'applicazione era piuttosto buona, non eccelsa, ma neanche da tirare giù santi. Per l'asciugatura passo, perchè col caldo di questi giorni non farebbe testo... Per quanto riguarda, invece, l'effetto olografico, è a metà tra scattered e linear, e funzia sia sotto luci artificiali sia sotto il sole, quindi ha sempre un aspetto abbastanza scintillante, a differenza di molti altri holo. ^^

DISCONTINUED DAY #2 ESSENCE - from TE Fruity + 50's Girls Reloaded

ENG: here we are with a new Discontinued Day, the monthly twinsie post dedicated to nail polishes or makeup that are no more available in stores. ITA: eccoci ad un altro Discontinued Day, la giornata del mese dedicata agli smalti o al makeup "discontinued", ovvero i prodotti ormai irreperibili perchè provenienti da vecchie edizioni limitate o perchè tolti dal commercio per svariati motivi. ESSENCE - FRUITY - BANANA

ENG: I was fascinated by this light pastel and pearly yellow, because I think it's perfect for a delicate look, but it also has a strong effect with tanned hands, so, a polish for all seasons. It's very cute, but the formula is not as cute as I wished: I got the full coverage just at the third coat, and the coats weren't very thin, so the final appearance is "fat" and was also very long to dry. Do you know any dupe more pigmented than this? :P

ITA: questo giallo pastello chiaro e perlato mi intrigava, lo trovo perfetto per un look delicato, ma anche per un contrasto più forte quando si hanno mani abbronzate, uno smalto per tutte le stagioni, insomma. Purtroppo, però, pur essendo molto carino a vedersi, l'applicazione non è altrettanto carina: la coprenza totale l'ho ottenuta solo alla terza mano di colore, e le passate non erano sottili, quindi il risultato è stata una massa abbastanza cicciotta e lunghissima da asciugare. Avete consigli su possibili dupe più scriventi? :P

ESSENCE - FRUITY - STRAWBERRY

ENG: after I catched up the green and the yellow, the I wanted the peachy shade from this collection, but a friend of mine found this pink and I was too much in love with this "seeds" finish to refuse her kindness. So I own this lovely "strawberry ice cream pink" and I like it, but it doesn't match very well with my skintone; for this reason I added a few nail stickers from GotBeauty brand. Formulation of this polish is much better than the one of the yellow shade from the same collection, but worse than the quality of the green one: coverage is good, but it still dries very slowly. By the way, those seeds in the base make me hungry!

ITA: dopo il giallino e il verdino, avrei voluto lo smalto pesca di questa collezione, ma ero troppo ingrifata da questo finish "a semini" per rifiutare il rosa, quando una mia amica mi ha detto di avere trovato solo questo "rosa gelato alla fragola" in un display. Non che non mi piaccia, solo che sbatte un casino col mio sottotono di pelle, e per questo  motivo ho aggiunto qualche stickers della GotBeauty, altrimenti sembrava non avessi neanche le unghie! XD La formulazione è molto migliore di quella del giallo banana della medesima collezione, ma peggiore di quella del verde kiwi; sebbene la coprenza sia maggiore, e quindi si possono fare strati più sottili, l'asciugatura è stata ugualmente lenta. Però quanto adoro quei semini, mi fanno fame!

ESSENCE - 50'S GIRL RELOADED - 03 I'M A MARINE GIRL

ENG: once upon a time there was a gorgeous blue shimmer that I really really loved: Pupa - 701 China Blue. It was a one coater, extremely pigmented, a deep and intense color, also very long lasting... Simply gorgeous! It had just one lack: it dried up in the bottle after only two applications, so I had to start a hunt for a dupe. This Essence is quite close to the goal: colour and finish are the same, but pigmentation isn't at the same level than my previous treasure. By the way, it's amazing this one, too! Stickers are from Mi-Ny!

ITA: eccoci arrivati al pezzo forte di questo post, a mio parere. Anni fa avevo un blu shimmer che adoravo, il Pupa - 701 China Blue: one coater, colore pieno, profondo, intenso, durata eccellente... Spettacolare! Ma si è seccato tantissimo dopo due soli utilizzi e quindi ho cercato un dupe per sostituirlo. Con questo Essence ci sono quasi: il colore e il finish sono uguali, ma la formulazione, invece, è meno pigmentata e ci vogliono due passate di colore, ma alla fine è stupendo anche questo! Gli stickers sono della Mi-Ny!

ENG: since I didn't have enough stickers for all my nails, then I used a different type for my right hand, from the same kit of decals. P.S. sorry but my right hans always has very short nails and with different lenght... It can't be helped: I'm not able to be more careful to my nails and they always broke (up with me)! XD

ITA: visto che non avevo abbastanza stickers uguali per tutte le dita, sulla mano destra ho messo questi altri, che facevano parte dello stesso set di decals. P.S. la mia mano destra ha sempre le unghie cortissime e di lunghezze diverse, non ce la farò MAI in tutta la vita a limitarmi nell'usarle per evitare di spaccarle! XD

Twinsie Friday: Duochrome Depend - 086

ENG: as I told you before (ctrl+c and ctrl+v is coming), I hate pink. I hate peach rose. And I hate the pearl finish. And, of course, you can't even imagine how much I hate pearly pink. So... What's wrong with me to buy a shade like this?!? Actually it's my friend Daniela's fault, since this was a gift for her, in the first time. Was. Sorry Dany, shame on me, but I'll buy another one for you in the future, because this evil shade is fucking amazing on nails!!! Keep an eye to my friend's posts at the bottom of this post!!! ;D

ITA: come avevo già scritto (copio-incollo), io odio il rosa. Se possibile, odio ancora di più il rosa pesca. E odio il finish perlato. Non potete neanche immaginare quanto io possa odiare un rosa perlato... Che razza di brutta malattia mi ha portato a mettere questo smalto nel cestino del male? Inizialmente la colpa è della mia amica Daniela, a cui volevo regalare questo smalto ma che, vergogna a me, glielo prenderò in un secondo momento, perchè questo me lo tengo, gne gne gne. Non so come sia possibile, ma... E' stupendo!!!  Date un'occhiata anche alle proposte delle mie smaltamiche: trovate i link alla fine del post! ;D

DEPEND - 086

ENG: it's very hard to catch the beauty of this polish: sometimes it's a very pale gold, sometimes a dull peach, sometimes both, but the pearliness is always the lead actress to make your nails like shells. Coverage is quite good: I did two tiny coats to define the edges and a generous third one to avoid brush strokes. By the way, strokes are not so obvious for a pearly shade. The brush didn't seem so good in the very first time, but the application was very precise in the end. Fast drying. Not so durable, but so beautiful! ;D

ITA: è difficile capire la bellezza di questo smalto: a volte è un oro pallidissimo, a volte un pesca spento, a volte entrambi, ma sempre e comunque la perlescenza la fa da padrona per far sembrare le unghie come conchiglie. La coprenza è piuttosto buona: ho dato due passate sottili per delineare la forma e poi una abbondante per far vedere meno le pennellate, ma, per essere uno smalto perlato, non si vedono molto comunque. Il pennellino non sembrava granchè, ma alla fine la stesura è filata precisissima. Asciugatura veloce. Durata un po' meno. Bellezza garantita! ;D

ENG: here we are with a cheerful event! In this day we celebrate IT. The actual man's best friend and woman's too, the actual ruler of the world Berlusconi you are nothing, the actual owner of your time & your space & everything-else. IT all can, all. Can. Just can. THE CAT.
Have you ever noticed that you say "I own a dog" but you never say "I own a cat"? You say "I live with a cat". And God forbid. I live with MAYA, for example. Since October the 9th, 2003. She followed my cousin from her car to my doorstep, and since then I couldn't get rid of her live without her anymore. We fall asleep paw in hand, we tease each other all the time, we poop in sync... She's my baby, she's my best friend,  she's my family, she's my life and also she's also a bit my death. XD
Then there are my nephews Gigio and Kodro; my neighborhood: Diego and Matteo, Macchia, Grigetta and "the new one"; and all those I've hosted for a while: Mao-Lin, Myu, and Bagigio. And Romeo.
I used to hate cats before I met Maya, could you believe that? Shame on me... So... Let's celebrate this piece of art! But not just today: let's set aside a handful of catfood in case of need, and a bowl of fresh water in the summer heat, and our index finger to let them sniff it.

ITA: ecchice qua con un evento giUoioso! In questo lieto giorno si festeggia LUI. Il vero miglior amico dell'uomo ma anche della donna, il vero dominatore del mondo Berlusconi ce fai na pippa, il vero gestore del nostro tempo & spazio & anche-tutto-il-resto. Colui che tutto può perchè sì, e basta. IL GATTO.
Mai notato che si dice "ho un cane", ma non si dice mai "ho un gatto"? Semmai si dice "vivo con un gatto". E ci mancherebbe pure. Io vivo con MAYA, per esempio. Dal 9 ottobre 2003. Ha seguito mia cugina dall'auto fino alla mia porta, e non sono più riuscita a togliermela dalle balle farne a meno. Ci addormentiamo mano nella zampa, ci facciamo i dispetti a vicenda, facciamo la cacca in compagnia... E' la mia bimba, la mia patafrulla, la mia culona, la mia migliore amica, la mia famiglia, la mia vita e anche un po' la mia morte. XD

E poi ci sono i miei nipotini: Gigio l'indescrivibbole e Kodro il gatto pensionato. Il mio micinato: Diego lo scroccone, Macchia la bestia del demonio, la Grigetta un po' diva, Matteo polmoni d'acciaio, "quello nuovo" che fa il puttano... E quelli passati di qua in stallo, come Mao-Lin che ora tiene a bada un pastore tedesco e un dobermann, Myu che non so se ce l'ha fatta, Bagigio il ciuccione. E Romeo il gattontolo. 

E pensare che io li detestavo i gatti prima di conoscere Maya... Sciagura a me. Quindi... Festeggiamo quest'opera d'arte! Ma non solo oggi: teniamo sempre un pugnetto di crocchini a portata di zampa, una ciotolina di acqua fresca in estate, e un indice da puntare contro di loro per farci annusare.

ESSIE - MARSHMALLOW

ENG: one of my lemmings in the past, now is my useful semi-jelly semi-sheer semi-fatty white :)

ITA: una volta lo "bramavo con cupidigia come una bimba davanti ad una figurina prismatica di Creamy" (Cri™ e Fra™), ora è il mio utile bianco semi-jelly semi-trasparente semi-ciccioso :)

ENG: a top coat effect with a sheer white cream base and a pink opalescent reflection like a seashell.
ITA: un top coat bianco panna traslucido con un effetto rosa opalescente, tipo guscio di conchiglia.

ENG: a creamy antique pink very covering and not sugary at all.
ITA: un cremoso rosa antico molto coprente e per nulla zuccheroso.
