Liquid Sky Lacquer - Easter Morning + Zoya - Minka

Cosa abbiamo oggi? Uno smalto Liquid Sky Lacquer che mi è stato regalato dalla mia smaltamica (e non solo smalta, ma soprattutto amica!) Daniela. Messo da solo era un po' troppo sheer, così ho fatto un layering con una base nude, cosa che, oltre ad aiutare la coprenza, ha anche esaltato un po' il colore molto tenue dello smalto e il suo effetto microglitter. Ah! Sarà un post solo in italiano oggi. C'ho sonno. Ah! Lo sticker mi pare fosse della Essence. Mi pare. Ve l'ho detto che c'ho sonno.

LIQUID SKY LACQUER - EASTER MORNING

Sono un po' fuori allenamento con la descrizione di colori e finish degli smalti, quindi arranco e abbiate pazienza e clemenza nel caso dicessi castronate. Allora... E' uno smalto microglitter dai riflessi dorati e, sotto luci intense, anche opalescenti, mentre il colore di base è un oro pallidissimo leggermente verde menta. Poco coprente, necessiterebbe di tre passate ed un'asciugatura un po' lunga, ma si può ovviare con una base colorata sotto: io ho scelto un nude, ma ci starebbe bene anche un bianco o un menta chiarissimo, forse anche un giallo pastello chiarissimo sarebbe adatto... Comunque, alla fine, molto bello e raffinato come smalto, l'ho messo la scorsa primavera, con le prime giornate di sole. ^_^

ZOYA - MINKA

Che dire? E' il mio solito smalto che uso come base nude/naturale per gli smalti poco coprenti. E' un beige rosato chiaro con un lievissimo effetto perlato, appena accennato. Con il tempo si è leggermente densificato, ma fa ancora il suo porchissimo lavoro.

Per oggi è tutto! Non so quando riuscirò a fare un altro post, perchè devo ritinteggiare

casa e fare altri lavori: avrò una decina di giorni un tantinello caotici. Ciau!

Orly - Au Champagne + KKcenterHK - Merry Xmas Snowflake Stripes Pattern

ENG: I was in doubt about posting a festive nail art... Is it too soon? In the end I thought that shipping from China takes a lot of time, so it's better to order in time if you'd like these decals and you'd to buy them and wear them within Xmas or winter season. :P

ITA: è un po' presto per un post con nail art un po' natalizia? Ero indecisa se postarla adesso ho tra qualche settimana, poi ho pensato che, nel caso a qualcuno piacessero questi water decals e volesse ordinarli, ci vorrebbe un bel po' prima che arrivassero, e Natale (o comunque l'inverno), sarebbero già belli che andati, quindi tiè! In controcorrente, un post un po' svervegio :P

ORLY - AU CHAMPAGNE

ENG: this was a nail polish I wished a lot, but it also was a small disappointment to me as soon as I tried it on my nail. Don't take my words in a bad way: it is beautiful, it looks like a shell (also perfect for a bride), but I saw it swatched on a false tip and I spotted some micro-glitters with multicolored reflection. There isn't any effect like this on nails, so, maybe, maybemaybemaybe, it could be there on gel nails, maybe. By the way is a nice glacial white with white and silver shimmer and it's very classy and discreet. Application is very precise, but formulation presents a little issue: it's better to apply two thin layers and one final thicker coat, to avoid a too long drying and holes of colors.

ITA: uno smalto che ho desiderato tantissimo, ma che poi, una volta provato, non mi ha entusiasmato così tanto come mi aspettavo e speravo. Non che non mi piaccia, anzi, è molto bello, sembra un guscio di conchiglia (perfetto per una sposa, oltretutto), però su unghie non si vedono quei micro-glitter con riflessi multicolor che avevo adocchiato su uno swatch fatto su un'unghia finta, quindi, forse, chissà, se lo applicate su una ricostruzione in gel, potrebbe avere quel punto in più che mi aveva tanto incuriosita. Anche così, però, è un bianco ghiaccio con shimmer bianco/argento molto raffinato e discreto. L'applicazione è precisissima, ma difetta un po' nella formulazione: consiglio uno o due strati molto sottili per creare una base, ed un terzo un po' "ciccione" per completare la coprenza, in questo modo si asciugherà più in fretta ed eviterete eventuali buchi di colori sulla lunetta. 

N.NAIL - MERRY XMAS SNOWFLAKE STRIPES PATTERN

ENG: water decals decorated with a Scandinavian style, a style that I personally love a lot, also on nails. Stickers are excellent quality, easy to cut to decorate in the way you like the most, very durable, and totally flat, they look like more a stamping than a decal. I liked them a lot, and I'm not saying this because the partnership with the store, after all I choose them by myself!

ITA: water decals con decorazioni in stile scandinavo, uno stile che io personalmente adoro e anche sulle unghie l'ho trovato adorabile. Gli stickers sono di ottima qualità, tagliabili per adattarsi al tipo di decorazione che volete creare, molto resistenti, e totalmente piatti, in modo che sembra un stamping più che una decalcomania. A me sono piaciuti un sacco, e non lo dico per via della partnership con il sito, in fondo li ho scelti io! :)

ITA: non  c'è molto da dire su questi water decals, se non che li trovo stilosissimi e diversi dal solito. Ho voluto abbinarci colori complementari in linea con le tinte degli adesivi: arancione scuro, ottanio leggermente grigiato, fucsia scuro e verde acido, e mi sono divertita a tagliare i decals tutti in modo diverso.

Kiko - 374 Cioccolato Amaro Perlato

KIKO - 374 PEARLY CHOCOLATE NOIR / CIOCCOLATO AMARO PERLATO

ENG: this nail polish has an almost black base with an elegant dark brown shimmer that's evident only under bright lights. Formula is great: it's one coater, application is very precise thanks to the wide brush and the well balanced density of the product, it's auto leveling, quite glossy even without a top coat, dries fast and has a long duration. I can't find any lack.

ITA: è uno smalto quasi nero che svela la sua base marrone scuro soltanto sotto luci intense grazie ad un elegantissimo shimmer. La formula è fantastica: può tranquillamente bastare una sola passata, l'applicazione è precisissima grazie al pennello piatto e alla giusta densità dello smalto, è autolivellante, è piuttosto glossy anche senza top coat, asciuga veloce, ed ha una durata ottima. Non ci trovo difetti manco a sforzarmi.

ENG: is this nail polish discontinued? I can't find it in the official website anymore... Anyway, don't worry, since you can find its dupe from the same brand: Zoya - Jem. Actually there's a thiny tiny difference between them: same color, same finish, but they have a different size of shimmer, but this is a lilliputian difference, and I think there's no need of both. This nail polish has a sparkle/glassflecks finish, a very dark base with violet shimmer and has a slight duochrome effect that goes on copper under strong lights. More: average application, average drying time; average duration. Average in all, except that's beautiful! ;D

ITA: ma questa belessa è discontinued? Perchè sul sito ufficiale non lo vedo mica più... Vabbeh, in compenso, si trova senza problemi un suo dupe, rilasciato dalla stessa marca: lo Zoya - Jem. Non sono proprio identici, perchè c'è una lievissima differenza nelle dimensioni dello shimmer, ma colore e finish sono assolutamente gli stessi, quindi, direi che, se non riuscite a trovare il Valerie, amen! A parte tutto il chiacchiericcio, questo smalto è uno sparkle/glassflecks a base molto scura con shimmer violetto che, sotto luci intense, ha anche un lieve effetto bicromatico che vira sul rame. Altre info: applicazione normale,  tempi di asciugatura normali, durata normale. Tutto normale, a parte che è stupendo! ;D

Layla - Metal Sense T09 + A-England - Camelot + Essence - Matt Top Coat

ENG: I courted this nail polish for months at Sirene Blu drugstore. I went there, then I aimed to it, I approched it nonchalantly, then I did look at the bottle under different lights, sometimes I played with it, or I carried it with me around the store... But I never did buy it, for a reason or another (usually because I had no money with me XD). And, in the end... Here it is!!! In the pics below it's swatched over a black base.

ITA: ho corteggiato questo smalto per mesi alle Sirene Blu. Andavo là, lo puntavo, mi avvicinavo con nonchalance, guardavo la boccetta sotto diverse luci, ci giocherellavo, me lo portavo pure in giro per il negozio... Poi, per un qualche motivo, non lo prendevo mai (di solito perchè non avevo soldi XD), ma, alla fine, eccolo!!! In queste foto è swatchato sopra una mutandaTM nera, causa un po' di trasparenza.

ENG: and the day before removing it, I have mattified it! *_*

ITA: e, il giorno prima di toglierlo, l'ho mattificato! *_*

LAYLA - METAL SENSE - T09

ENG: several times I've tried to wear it alone, but I wasn't sure about its coverage and deepness. This time I've also applied a black base, and surprise: two thin coats were enough to exactly obtain what I was expecting in the beginning. More, I think this nail polish is quite elegant, despite the shade is a bit "frivolous", and mattified is totally classy. I also advice this polish to people who wants a perfect manicure for days, because it's very long lasting.

ITA: ho provato diverse volte a metterlo da solo, ma non mi convinceva la sua coprenza e profondità, così ho deciso di metterci la mutandonaTM sotto, e voilà: sono bastate una passata normale più una seconda sottilissima giusto per livellare, e il risultato è esattamente quello che speravo da principio. Questo smalto è di un'eleganza unica, pur essendo un colore un po' "frivolo"; mattificato, poi, secondo me è il top. Lo consiglio anche a chi vuole una manicure che duri perfetta per giorni e giorni, perchè è moooolto resistente.

S.HE Stylezone - 315

ENG: this is one of my my babies that I picked up in Slovenia to DM drugstore in Nova Gorica for only €2,50!

S.HE STYLEZONE - 315

ENG: formula of this polish is very watery and sheer at the first coat (actually even at the second one), and brush doesn't help so much, because it has a rounded shape and you have to pay attention to don't get big drops of product, becase that makes a mess... How to do? You could apply 3 (or even 4) very thin coats, or using a black base, so 2 coats will be enough and the colour will also be a bit deeper. In return this nail polish dries very fast, it's strong on the surface, it's long lasting, has no need of a top coat, and it's beautiful!

ITA: la formula di questo smalto è molto acquosa ed estremamente sheer al primo (ma pure al secondo) strato, ed il pennello non aiuta molto, perchè è rotondo e si rischiano i tipici goccioni che incasinano tutto... Che fare? Consiglio 3 (o anche 4) mani di colore sottilissime, oppure, ancora meglio, una mutandaTM nera sotto, così bastano 2 passate e il colore risulta anche un po' più profondo. In compenso asciuga velocissimo, resiste benone ai colpi sulla superficie, dura a lungo, non  abbisogna neanche di top coat, ed è bellissimo!

ENG: what a nail polish! I did like it as soon as I've seen it on online swatches, but I did like it not so much to buy it: the color is a beautiful acquamarine, but seemed a bit flat, and the silver foil finish didn't help so much... In real life is awesome, instead! This shade has a wonderful deepness and intensity of color, and the formula and duration are great both! ;D

ITA: che smalto! Mi è piaciuto da subito appena l'ho visto negli swatches online, ma non mi era piaciuto così tanto da prenderlo, perchè il colore, pur essendo un bellissimo acquamarina, sembrava un po' piatto sotto alcune luci, e il finish foil argentato non aiutava. Beh, dal vero è tutta un'altra storia! E' di una profondità e di un'intensità pazzesche, e anche la sua formulazione è molto buona, durata compresa! ;D

L'Oreal - 624 Island in the Sun + Zoya - Minka

ENG: I hardly pay attention to display of "most popular" brands, but, this time, in front of l'oreal... *BLING* What is that skyblue/gold adoooorable thing that is smirking to me? What's? What's? "How pretty are you, little baby? Would you want a new home, sweetie? Come, come to me, my love, you'll never be alone and dusty". Yes... This is what I usually think as soon as I fall in love with a polish... ^__^;

ITA: difficilmente mi tengo aggiornata o spulcio gli stand delle marche "più popolari", ma, passando davanti a quello della L'Oreal, stavolta... *BLING* Cos'è quella cosa azzurro/doratina che mi fa l'occhiolino? Cose'è? Cos'è? "Ma quanto sei carino piccino, la vuoi una casina nuova? Vieni, vieni amore, non sarai più solo e impolverato". Sì, questo è quello che penso io di solito quando mi innamoro di uno smaltino... ^__^;

L'OREAL - MISS POP - 624 ISLAND IN THE SUN

ENG: beautiful. I don't want to waste useless words but BEAUTIFUL. I've seen a few swatches online, and it's been always applied alone, but actually I think it's better using it over a base. In the pic below you can see 3 experiments: over a black creme base, a pearly white one, and a cream/beige shade (the one I've chosen for this post). Last two pics show you how the duochrome effect changes over a blue base. A+

ITA: bellissimo. Non voglio sprecare parole, se non dire che è BELLISSIMO. Ho visto diversi swatches online, e tutte le volte era applicato da solo, ma, a dire il vero, io penso sia infinitamente meglio applicarlo sopra una base. Nell'immagine qui sotto potete vedere tre esperimenti (alla buona): il primo sopra una base cremosa nera, sopra un bianco perlato, e poi su un panna/beige (quello che poi ho scelto per questo post). Le ultime due immagini mostrano l'effetto duochrome sopra ad una base blu. 10+

ZOYA - MINKA

ENG: I cannot say very much about its quality, because it's so hot and warm these days, that any nail polish is hard to apply and to dry, so I have to postpone the review until the weather will be more clement, or maybe until the plumber will fix my air conditioner (soon, please!). -__- In the meanwhile I could say that this  polish is a cream/beige with a very slight shimmer that doesn't show off on nails, and it's the perfect mannequin shade for my skintone. :)

ITA: un nuovo arrivo e già l'ho varato con piacere! Sulla qualità non so dire molto, perchè fa talmente caldo in questi giorni che qualsiasi smalto è durissimo sia da stendere che da far asciugare, e quindi rimanderò la recensione di questo smalto ad un clima più favorevole, o magari quando aggiusteranno il condizionatore di casa mia. -__- Nel frattempo dico solo che è un panna/beige con un lieve shimmer quasi nulla visibile su unghie. La perfetta tinta mannequin per la mia carnagione. :)

DISCONTINUED DAY #2 ESSENCE - from TE Fruity + 50's Girls Reloaded

ENG: here we are with a new Discontinued Day, the monthly twinsie post dedicated to nail polishes or makeup that are no more available in stores. ITA: eccoci ad un altro Discontinued Day, la giornata del mese dedicata agli smalti o al makeup "discontinued", ovvero i prodotti ormai irreperibili perchè provenienti da vecchie edizioni limitate o perchè tolti dal commercio per svariati motivi. ESSENCE - FRUITY - BANANA

ENG: I was fascinated by this light pastel and pearly yellow, because I think it's perfect for a delicate look, but it also has a strong effect with tanned hands, so, a polish for all seasons. It's very cute, but the formula is not as cute as I wished: I got the full coverage just at the third coat, and the coats weren't very thin, so the final appearance is "fat" and was also very long to dry. Do you know any dupe more pigmented than this? :P

ITA: questo giallo pastello chiaro e perlato mi intrigava, lo trovo perfetto per un look delicato, ma anche per un contrasto più forte quando si hanno mani abbronzate, uno smalto per tutte le stagioni, insomma. Purtroppo, però, pur essendo molto carino a vedersi, l'applicazione non è altrettanto carina: la coprenza totale l'ho ottenuta solo alla terza mano di colore, e le passate non erano sottili, quindi il risultato è stata una massa abbastanza cicciotta e lunghissima da asciugare. Avete consigli su possibili dupe più scriventi? :P

ESSENCE - FRUITY - STRAWBERRY

ENG: after I catched up the green and the yellow, the I wanted the peachy shade from this collection, but a friend of mine found this pink and I was too much in love with this "seeds" finish to refuse her kindness. So I own this lovely "strawberry ice cream pink" and I like it, but it doesn't match very well with my skintone; for this reason I added a few nail stickers from GotBeauty brand. Formulation of this polish is much better than the one of the yellow shade from the same collection, but worse than the quality of the green one: coverage is good, but it still dries very slowly. By the way, those seeds in the base make me hungry!

ITA: dopo il giallino e il verdino, avrei voluto lo smalto pesca di questa collezione, ma ero troppo ingrifata da questo finish "a semini" per rifiutare il rosa, quando una mia amica mi ha detto di avere trovato solo questo "rosa gelato alla fragola" in un display. Non che non mi piaccia, solo che sbatte un casino col mio sottotono di pelle, e per questo  motivo ho aggiunto qualche stickers della GotBeauty, altrimenti sembrava non avessi neanche le unghie! XD La formulazione è molto migliore di quella del giallo banana della medesima collezione, ma peggiore di quella del verde kiwi; sebbene la coprenza sia maggiore, e quindi si possono fare strati più sottili, l'asciugatura è stata ugualmente lenta. Però quanto adoro quei semini, mi fanno fame!

ESSENCE - 50'S GIRL RELOADED - 03 I'M A MARINE GIRL

ENG: once upon a time there was a gorgeous blue shimmer that I really really loved: Pupa - 701 China Blue. It was a one coater, extremely pigmented, a deep and intense color, also very long lasting... Simply gorgeous! It had just one lack: it dried up in the bottle after only two applications, so I had to start a hunt for a dupe. This Essence is quite close to the goal: colour and finish are the same, but pigmentation isn't at the same level than my previous treasure. By the way, it's amazing this one, too! Stickers are from Mi-Ny!

ITA: eccoci arrivati al pezzo forte di questo post, a mio parere. Anni fa avevo un blu shimmer che adoravo, il Pupa - 701 China Blue: one coater, colore pieno, profondo, intenso, durata eccellente... Spettacolare! Ma si è seccato tantissimo dopo due soli utilizzi e quindi ho cercato un dupe per sostituirlo. Con questo Essence ci sono quasi: il colore e il finish sono uguali, ma la formulazione, invece, è meno pigmentata e ci vogliono due passate di colore, ma alla fine è stupendo anche questo! Gli stickers sono della Mi-Ny!

ENG: since I didn't have enough stickers for all my nails, then I used a different type for my right hand, from the same kit of decals. P.S. sorry but my right hans always has very short nails and with different lenght... It can't be helped: I'm not able to be more careful to my nails and they always broke (up with me)! XD

ITA: visto che non avevo abbastanza stickers uguali per tutte le dita, sulla mano destra ho messo questi altri, che facevano parte dello stesso set di decals. P.S. la mia mano destra ha sempre le unghie cortissime e di lunghezze diverse, non ce la farò MAI in tutta la vita a limitarmi nell'usarle per evitare di spaccarle! XD
