The Rainbow Ladies #6 - INDIGO Sinful Colors - Hottie + mummy scotch tape

THE RAINBOW CHALLENGE BY THE RAINBOW LADIES!

ENG: I have to be honest with you all... I didn't ever understand what the hell is exactly the INDIGO color! Sometimes I see rainbows with a "normal" blue, sometimes it is a blurple, sometimes simply purple... What I should do with this post? My answer was obvious: I don't care! XD So I've chosen a periwinkle nail polish, maybe a bit lavender, maybe a bit blueish... I also decided to play with the striping tape to create a mummy manicure, using the scotch tape technique. And this time I painted both my hands, too! ;P
N.B. any single comment that should try to explain the actual definition of indigo and why I'm not using an actual one, will receive a standard reply: "blah blah blah". XD

ITA: che settimana difficile questa... Stavolta tocca al colore INDACO, e caos fu, perchè mica ho mai capito che menghia di colore sia l'indaco! In alcuni arcobaleni compare come un normale blu, in altri è a metà strada tra il blu e il viola, in altri è proprio viola violissimo. E mo'? Che fo? La mia risposta standard a questi dubbi atroci è sempre la stessa: sticazzi. XD E così vi porto questo smaltino un po' pervinca un po' lavanda, un po' bluastro. Ho giocato con lo striping tape, poi, per creare una mummy nail art con la tecnica dello scotch tape, per una volta ho fatto anche entrambe le mani! ;P
N.B. ogni commento che tenterà di spiegarmi cosa sia davvero l'indaco e perchè io non ho utilizzato un vero indaco, riceverà una risposta standard che consisterà in "gne gne gne". XD

SINFUL COLORS - HOTTIE

ENG: this shade has a periwinkle jelly base with small and medium rounded opalescent glitters inside of it. I wasn't so greatful as soon as I received this polish as extra in a swap, I must to admit it, because it is very sheer and gloopy, but shame on me! I always should remember that (almost) any polish has its strength, and I'm proud to say to you that I found it! Over a white base it isn't sheer anymore, you don't need of many fatty coats, so it will dry soon, keeping its beauty to show you off. Love you Hottie, at last! Peace? ♥
ITA: è uno smalto a base jelly pervinca con piccoli e medi glitter opalescenti. Devo confessarlo, sono stata un'ingrata quando l'ho ricevuto come extra in uno swap, non mi piaceva perchè era trasparente e denso, ma sciagura a me! Devo sforzarmi di ricordare più spesso che (quasi) ogni smalto ha almeno un punto di forza da qualche parte, e sono fiera di annunciare che anche stavolta l'ho trovato! Sopra una base bianca il problema trasparenza sparisce, non c'è bisogno di millemila strati ciccioni, e quindi asciugherà pure in fretta, mantenendo la sua belessa intatta. C'è voluto un po' Hottie, ma alla fine amo anche te! Facciamo pace? ♥

TOTALLY RANDOM SUNDAY #18

HAULS

A WONDERFUL SWAP WITH JULIA! 
This swap started with a couple of things, just a fast swap... Nothing so challenging... Nothing so complicated... Then... Ehm... One thing leads to another so it took months to buy and arrange everything. But the most important thing is I guess to have found a new friend. Thank you Julia! ♥

Let's go start with the items!

PART 1 - NAIL POLISHES

- China Glaze - Brownstone: I totally fell in love with this polish since the first time I've seen the Metro collection, and my hopes were not disappointed. I've already worn it twice, but no made pics, silly me.

- China Glaze - Stone Cold: more China Glaze!  :D This one comes from one of the latest collection of this brand, the Hunger Games one. It's a silver charcoal that dries satin, beautiful! Another polish I've used but not photographed... ç_ç

- China Glaze - Grape Pop: another simple creme from ChG that I would since a lot of time. I've already tried it and, again, no photos. Sorry, but when I've used these polishes the first time was a very hard time in my life and I didn't think to capture my manicures. Sorry Julia, but I'll wear them again for sure! >_<

- China Glaze - Lorelei's Tiara: something twinkling, finally! :P I really like this polish because it really sparkles a lot, but I have not tried it on my nails so far, but just on false tips and I can't wait to wear it for real.

- Zoya - Neeka: this is the first polish I've used as soon as I received my package from Julia. A lot of people complimented to me for it, because it's really charming, and I regret very much to have not made photos. ç__ç

- Butter London - Victoriana: I think this polish was the first (and only) reason for this swap, int he beginning: it's all its fault!!! :D By the way, it's amazing as I hoped, and this one... Has pics! Yeeee! Soon on this screen! ;D

- OPI - My Private Jet (2nd version): this is a gift from Julia, a wonderful gift!!! It's not the holo version, but the holo microglitters version, but who cares? The colour is sooooo close to chocolate that I couldn't stop to stare at my nails when I've worn it (of course no pics XD). I _have to_ swatch it again! è_é/

- Lyndderella - Connect the Dots + Snow Angel: Ahw! So cute, both! I have to confess I tried them just on false tips, because I would to have longer nails for them, and they are getting stronger recently, so I hope to be able to wear these polishes soon! ;D

- Sinful Colors - Green Ocean: another gift! :D This one... Ehm... It's perfect for bricolage!!! I've used it to decorate a wooden box, but I didn't finished it, I need more time (and patience) ;P

PART 2 - MAKE-UP
I decided to learn how to wear make-up, so I need... Stuff! Yes, I'm 35 and I never learned it before. XD I'm taking advantage from swaps for this, so I asked to Julia to purchase something for me, but she did a lot more and sended me a lot of other pretty things!!! *__*

- Wet'n'Wild - Blue had me at Hello: *drooling* I asked for this palette for the four eyeshadows in the middle, and I depotted them to a custom palette. I use them very often and I'm totally in love with them. By the way I've swatched all 8 colors before the selection and I'm going to do make-up posts as soon as I can with all my stuff (that's not so much :P)

- Wet'n'Wild - Cool as a Cucumber + Don't Steal my Thunder: from these trios I've kept everything, but I depotted them anyway :P

- NYX - Dramatic Chromatic Eyeshadow Pigment in Seclude: this one is a gift from Julia *droooooling* first swatch is dry and second is wet. Beautiful! *__*

Next three items are surprises by Julia! *__*
- ANEW - Lash Transforming Mascara + Serum: I'm not using the serum, but yes for mascara. it's light but very defining, perfect for everyday looks.
- AVON - Jillian Dempsey for AVON Professional Eye Duo in Bronze: cream eyeshadow + brown eyeliner (swatches on the right of the pic), spectacular both. The eyeliner is a bit too liquid, but I'm not an eyeliner fan , so I use it just to do a reinforce the shade of the lashes.
- NYX - Eye/Eyebrow Pencil in 903 Dark Brown: I use brown on brows during the day and black in the night, and a brown pencil was something I missed. Such a luck!

- Lip Smacker in various fruit: these are gifts for my friends! Previously I received a Lip Smacker in watermelon as gift in another swap and I love it so much that I wanted to share this love with other people, so I asked for a set of them to give away! :D

PART 3 - VARIOUS 

Next 3 items come from an order on TKB online store (as a CP inside the swap), an amazing shop online that sells pigments and other stuff to custom and storage your makeups.

- Color Wheel: it's pretty hard to find in Italy a good color wheel, moreover it's almost impossibile to find a cheap one! On TKB $3.75 and go on! ;P

- Franken Polish Bottles in Caroline (5 ml) + Monster Beads: I would to buy a lot more of these!!! I always want to make gifts to my friends but it's hard when you haven't a job, so these bottles are the ideal stuff for this purpose: I can share a lot of my nail polishes with them! :D
Share your treasures? Are you crazy, Jessica? Bloggers, let's be honest (for once!): how many nail polishes do you own? And how many polishes you'll finish in your all entire life? Cooooome on! Don't be greedy and share your beauties with your lovely friends! ;D

- Large Square 36 mm Palette with Mirror: another useful purchase. They are perfect for Kiko's mono  eyeshadows and other brands (for example Neve Cosmetics refills), they are also magnetic and sleek and with a very high quality plastic. A must have!

Finished, at last!!!! Such a yummy swap, don't you think? There also were a couple of other items but I can't find the pics, sorry! I'm a lost cause, I know... >__<

L.A. Girl - Metallic Olive + Sinful Colors - Call you Later + gradient

I made this mani with the accent nail months ago, but... Here I am, again! Sorry for you! ;P

● L.A. GIRL - METALLIC OLIVE
Since I love greens and olives, so I couldn't leave alone this beauty. It's pretty dark, but you can see the golden  shimmer  quite well. With more light you can also see a subtle green and silver shimmer. Love it!

● SINFUL COLORS - CALL YOU LATER
Another lemming of mine that I finally own and wear with pleasure. It's a clear base with tons and tons of bright green and gold round glitter. Perfect to add life to a boring mani!

An old purchase and a very recent swap, both from US!
OLD US PURCHASE

From a very old order in... Last July, I guess, when a friend of mine went to US for a trip and I received the polishes in October. But I noticed to have forgotten to show you three more beauties, sorry my pressSSssciousses! I'm speaking with the polishes, of course... XD

- China Glaze - Meteor Shower

One of the first items in my wishlist EVER! Ok, I know it's an old kind of "fat" and rough glitters, and there are a lot of blue glitters better than this out there, but I was fond of it for a long time and I couldnt' leave it alone.

- Color Club - Wild and Willing

Another old old old wishlist item! I like owning multitasking polishes: this one is pretty alone with its golden copper finish, and is stunning layered over a dark base, because it pulls out a duochrome effect!

- Sinful Colors - Call you Later

Another multipurpose polish: flashy alone and useful to renew if you apply over another polish (I advice any kind of dark green), with a lot of green, yellow and gold round glitters of different sizes.

A SWAP WITH JULIA

It passed a lot of time since I've made my last swap on Makeup Alley, because I'm shamefully slow about purchase and reply to emails and sending the packages. But I can't say no to people who ask me about swapping, even with my timing. Sorry Julia, but we've made it, at last! ☺

- Barielle - Elle's Spell

Lovely lovely ooooh so lovely! A jelly cherry base with multichrome flakies that go from red to yellow to green. 

- OPI - DS Illuminate

OPI is one of those brands that are not so clear about their cruelty-free policy. OPI is, but Coty, that own the brand, isn't, so a small part of money you give to OPI goes to Coty, too. For this reason I don't buy OPI anymore, but I'll accept swaps of used bottles. No more money for Coty, one more polish for me. :) This one is amazing, I saw it from a friend of mine and I instantly fell in love with it. Beautiful. Just beautiful. Beige/brown with holo microglitters and a slight duochrome effect that goes on green.

- Sinful Colors - 24/7

This is a gift from the swapper! Not my tipe of color, absolutely, buuuuut I was thinking for months to buy few neon colors for nail arts, so this one is perfect for what i was thinking for! :D

- Sinful Colors - Hottie

Another extra polish for me! *__* This one is sooooo pretty! When I go to COIN I always stare at it and I can't decide if buy it or not, so this gift take away any doubt from me, yay! :D It's sheer but I love its delicate jelly base and the holo medium size glitters in pastels. Enchanting.

Last, but no least, a polish necklace painted with Color Club - Fashion Addict. No words. Thank you Julia, thank you very much!!! *^___^*

Nail Art: glitter stripes with scotch tape

My cousin took advantage of me during her last vacancy and I made her this nail art using the scotch tape technique, the habitat of Nailside and Chloe, my scotch tape muses! My cousin was veeeery happy for this and she told me couldn't help but stare at them at the beach, in and out of the water, and this thing has given me an idea, useful for the future... Maybe... I have a question for european readers: do you know a store where I can buy Milani polishes for her?

Orly - Lunar Eclipse + Sinful Colors - Frenzy

Last monday I was a bit nervous for a TAC scan I had to undergo on tuesday, so I needed for a strong manicure, and Lunar Eclipse appeared in front of me... :D

● ORLY - LUNAR ECLIPSE
A blue jelly base studded with tons of sparkly blue shimmer and blurple micro glitters. Sparkly and electric: this combination is a bomb!
● SINFUL COLORS - FRENZY
Small fuchsia and electric blue glitter over a clear base. Glitters are quite a lot, but if you want to wear it alone, I guess you should use several coats, I think 3 or 4, at least... Good luck! :D

Eyeko - Vampira + Sinful Colors - Sugar Sugar + stencil

I bought this polish months ago but I didn't used it yet.

Until today, and it's a pity I didn't do it before, because it's pretty interesting.

● EYEKO - VAMPIRA

Pretty sheer after one coat, but totally opaque with the second one, and it's a dupe of China Glaze - Lubu Heels. Red shimmer is subtle and it's visible only in the light, but this "misterious" effect is charming. When it'll decide to show itself, of course. ;)

● SINFUL COLORS - 839 SUGAR SUGAR

They aren't exactly dupes, but this polish is very close to the famous China Glaze - ruby pumps. Beautiful, especially under sunlight.

● STENCIL - ESSENCE - NAIL ART DESIGNS - 01 HAVE FUN

I bought these stencils just for try, but I have to admit they are pretty, indeeed. 2 little tricks are useful for correct use: switch sticker on the hand few times before application on nail and don't wait after polish application. ^__^

Basic Beauty - 46 + Sinful Colors - Sugar Sugar

This time I've really dared... I'm not the red polish type at all, but I wanted to try anyway... 

And...? I have to admit it: I gloated.

● BASIC BEAUTY - NR.46

A dark creamy red. Nothing more. Nothing less. BB is the official Limoni Profumerie cosmetic line, and I have to admit these polishes have a very good formula. Promoted!

● SINFUL COLORS - 839 SUGAR SUGAR

Let's think a bit together... They aren't exactly dupes, but this polish is very close to the famous China Glaze - ruby pumps. Ok? Ok. I applied a darker red under it, and the result is very close to another famous polish, China Glaze - stroll. Ok? Ok. So... Isn't it great? No? Gh. ç__ç
